Friendly and helpful office staff. Delivery and pick up were right on time and professional. We were totally satisfied with our experience. Would refer others for sure.

First time using BAJ or any party rental service for that matter. My parents put me in charge of hiring a rental service for my brother’s 8^th birthday party. He’s in love with super hero stuff so we got him a jump house with his favorite hero of all time, Batman! The jump house was a bit old but he just loved it. In fact it was actually hard trying to get him to come eat dinner lol.
My only complaint is that the pictures on the website make it look brand new which it’s not and I don’t know if it’s just the specific one we ordered or if all of them are like that. Not a big deal, but it should be noted.

Rude rude rude. She was charging me $ 150 dollars for 20 freakin chairs!!! Yah right

This company gets a 3.5 because there are pros and cons… but I’ve used this company on 4 different occasions already, so they must be doing something right.
PROS: very competitive pricing in comparison to other vendors. They offer tables, chairs, tents, along with other party machines and accessories. They’ve typically delivered on time and picked up a little late allowing the kids extra time to play. Great selection of jumpers and easy to do last minute booking online or by phone. They accept credit cards.
CONS: Some of the jumpers we’ve received have been worn, dirty and/​or old. On one of the occasions, the delivery driver showed up close to hour later than our booking time, and had to go through three blowers until one functioned properly. I wish their website had larger images; allowing you to click on the thumbnail and a larger image loads so you can see what character themed jumper you’re actually going to be ordering.
TIP: If you get a jumper and its set up on soft dirt/​mud, lay down a strip of carpet at the entrance so kids can take off their shoes there. It’ll keep a lot of the dirt/​mud from coming back inside the house.

THE WORST THING IS THE LADY ON THE PHONE … THE MANAGER !!!
First time I hired them, they came on time and they left on time and the set-​up workers are nice. (that is why I did not give one star)
Second time: As a ‘repeat customer’ I hired them again. But due to family reasons, I had to cancel. I called and emailed them and no one called me. Finally I talk to them, and the lady was SUPER RUDE to me and hung up the phone 2 – 3 times. She said I did not call her within 7 days (LIE) and she would not return my money … She is very rude, and she did not respect me as a customer or a person. let alone a repeat customer. what a shame.
I called AMEX and got my money. But found out from AMEX that this business never called them back either. So it shows you what a scam they are !!
Never will hire them again.

I’ve had very positive experiences renting bounce houses three times from Bay Area Jump. Twice for my daughter’s birthday parties, and once for a neighborhood event. In all three instances the bounce houses arrived on time, the delivery crew was very friendly, and everything went off without a hitch. I also had a positive phone interaction the one time I needed to make a change to my order. Otherwise, I’ve completed everything online.
I have no complaints, and will continue to rent from Bay Area Jump.

Pretty great company all around. I hired Bay Area Jump to set up for my little sisters birthday party and they were great. We were hosting the party at a friends house of mine that is not really easy to get to or find for that matter, so I explained this to them on the phone and they said it shouldn’t be a problem.
Well, not only did they manage to find the house, but I received a call a good twenty minutes in advanced letting me know that they were on the way. Now that’s awesome! The jumping house was put up in a very short amount of time and they placed it exactly how I told them to no problems whatsoever. The kids at the party really had a great time in that thing, it’s definitely worth the price for the endless entertainment it provides. Very prompt company, easy to work with, and fairly cheap as well. Will use again.

I rented a jumpy house, 4 tables, and 45 chairs (including 5 very cute little kids’ flower chairs) from Bay Area Jump for our annual HOA meeting today. Everything went perfectly… Robert was our delivery person, and he actually arrived 15 minutes early, and was great to work with on the set-​up. He then arrived for pick up exactly as scheduled.
In past years for this meeting, I rented the jumpy house from one vendor, and the furniture from another vendor. I very much appreciate being able to rent both furniture and a jumpy house from Bay Area Jump. Our experience with Bay Area Jump was 5*!

I ordered a jumper online for my granddaughter birthday. The jumper arrived 2 hours before the party started which was fine. The party started at 1pm and about 1:30 kids arrived and immediatly climbed into the jumper. The birthday was for my 1 yr old granddaughter but I ordered the jumper for the older kids. There were about 5 kids in the jumper, ages 5 – 8. About an hour into jumping it the top kind of caved in a little. We pushed it back up so the kids could continue to play. It did this about 3 more times and I thought since there was a basketball hoop inside that maybe they were pulling it in. About 4pm we made them get out because we were having cake. My son in-​law and I decided to take his 1 year old daughter and I took my 18 month old grandson into the jumper. My son in-​law stood and moved up and down to make it bounce for them. He took a step back towards the back of the jumper and it collapsed. I grabbed my granddaughter and fell into my son in-​law. My grandson is screaming and I can’t get to him because every time i had my granddaughter and when I moved it felt like it was collapsing even more. A 7 year old climbed in and grabbed my granddaughter and pulled her out and I was able to fine my grandson who was terrified! I felt this to be very dangerous. It remained collapsed until the drivers arrived to pick it up at 6pm. The jumper was not even anchored down, in fact it moved about 2 – 3 feet from where it was set up. When it collapsed it knocked over the blower and so the blower was clogging up with the grass. You would think the would have that anchored too. I have over 40 people who witnessed it collapsing repeatedly. My mistake was I didn’t call when it first happened but was busy with the party. When I called to talk to someone the lady in the office hung up on me while I was talking. My phone died so my daughter called back and one of the guys who came to pick up the jumper was talking to someone from the office and told them about the blower being clogged and said that it was not set up correctly and the owner would be contacting me. Never did! I think I deserve a full refund but since I didn’t call they should of at least offered something. I never received a call or anything. I’m glad that no one was hurt jumping in this jumper that was improperly set up and also it should of had 2 blowers on it. Incompetent people! Will not be renting a jumper from them EVER again.

If you skim through the reviews, the regular thing you will read is how rude the staff is. Unfortunately, that is true. It’s usually the staff you deal with over the phone. When you read 1 or 2 reviews mentioning it, you can shrug it off, but when you see almost every other says something like that, and then experience it first hand – then it’s a problem. NOW, mind you, I actually spoke to someone on 1 occasion where they were absolutely great and friendly. It was a complete turn around from 2 other times I called. I swear it sounded like the same lady all 3 times. It seems like it’s always a «lady» answering. Maybe it is only 1 person and why they are often rude because they have to put up with so many customers, but hey thats the job. I’m serious, if they can maintain the same level of nice and friendly I received on that rare occasion I called, they would have better reviews.
Anyways, I rented a popcorn machine, cotton candy, and the deluxe slider jumphouse. As for the products, can’t say anything wrong with them. The jumphouse looked a little dated, but still good and I am just nitpicking to say it looked dated. I just mentioned it because if you were to see another that was cleaner/​newer the colors are more vibrant. All the products still functioned as they should though. The kids and guest loved it. The driver and his assistant were much nicer than the people you deal with on the phone.
In the end, they came on time, products are exactly as advertised, and worked as indicated. So other than that, the minus 2 stars is because of the phone customer service. I normally wouldn’t dock points off that, but it was so bad (as others have mentioned) that it was such a turn off. Almost to the point to not do business with them. It is definitely a shame because their drivers and people who setup are much better, and the website is great and detailed, and the products work and are as advertised. Also they probably have the best price in the Bay Area and one of the few approved companies if you intend to use them at a park in San Jose/​SCC (Santa Clara County). I do see even worse experiences below so I guess I can consider myself lucky that the only problem I had was with the lady on the phone.

Rude staff; specifically Rebecca… a jump house that was delivered 45 minutes after our event started (on a nice, sunny day in Berkeley 8÷15÷15) and collapsed with two kids inside of it 20 minutes after it was put in place.
Even the delivery driver stated he was having a bad day with their staff that day!
Never again… they are a hazard, dirty and late. When I called to ask for a refund, they did not return my calls, nor emails and still to this date have not!
I discourage anyone from using this company!!!

I did all of my ordering online, and I ordered a lot — 13 tables, 2 kid tables, 110 chairs, 16 kid chairs, a jumper, and generator. Due to the number of things I ordered, I had to call to submit my deposit payment. The lady on the phone was really nice and helpful. Right after the call, I received the email confirming my order and deposit paid. Then, I came on Unilocal and saw the horrible reviews, so I got really nervous. I wasn’t sure if they were going to be on time? I wasn’t sure if they were going to remember everything for my order. Eeeeekkkk. I even made a few changes to my order, but received a confirmation email every time I made a change. I never spoke with a person that wasn’t helpful or nice. On the day of the party, they delivered on time, had everything we ordered, and they picked up on time. My suggestion would be to order things as early as you can, follow up with a call, have them deliver your items a few hours before your party if possible, and have them pick up an hour or so after the party is expected to end. I also called a few days before the party to confirm everything again and submit my final payment. Overall, I had a good experience and was happy with everything.

This company deserves no stars. Do NOT waste your time with this company. Horrible customer service and even worse, they CANNOT deliver to any San Francisco parks due to the negligence of one of their employees. They do not mention that on their website, so I wasted 20 minutes on hold and then spoke to an incredibly rude woman who insisted on putting me back on hold after I told her I wanted to book a bouncy house. Then, after all that time, and taking all of my information, I am told that that they do not have permission to deliver to any San Francisco parks because one of their drivers illegally drove through grassy areas in one of the SF parks. They have now lost their permission to deliver to ANY SF parks.
Its shocking that this company is still in business!

I would highly recommend this company! All the information, pictures, sizes, prices, etc were available online which I appreciate. Ordering online was easy and I received a detailed confirmation email when I ordered and again two day before my rental with detailed delivery instructions.
The bounce house arrived 30 minutes before my requested time. The driver and assistant who accompanied him were professional. The setup took less than 10 minutes. They picked up the bounce house about two hours after my party ended which was great timing since our party went longer than planned. Again, the driver was pleasant and had the whole thing cleaned up in ten minutes.
I would definitely book again.

Renting from this company was very easy! I booked the jumper online, and it was a breeze. Which is why it has 4 stars
But I must say I called and specifically asked the lady if the sports jumper had a basketball hoop in the inside of the jumper and she said yes! When the jumper got to the house, it didn’t have a hoop inside the jumper which was a bummer because that’s why I got the bigger jumper and paid more :(
But none the less we got to keep the jumper for an extra day because the company truck caught a flat! Which was great for the kids. :)

STAY AWAY! We hired this company to provide a bounce house and table and chairs for my sons birthday. We were told arrival would occur between 830 – 9 (official rental time began at 9).
9 came and went, 915, 930, nothing. We finally called and were told they have no idea what is going on as the driver can’t be reached. Calls to him went straight to voicemail. 945, nothing. Our party was about to start and we had nothing. Called back and they said they don’t know. Driver is MIA. I asked to talk with a supervisor and was told there wasn’t one. Tina is the person I spoke with. I insisted and was put on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on. I called back and was told the supervisor was unavailable. 10, nothing. 1015, nothing. Called company back and they say they don’t know. Driver isn’t accessible and the house just may not show up. We are livid. Finally at 1030 it arrives along with some BS that they don’t have any extension cords. We were told they would. Oh wait, a simple walk back tot the truck and the cords magically appear.
I called to complain on Monday and for a refund. I spoke with Emma the supervisor who told me I would get a partial refund and the check was in the mail. I called a week later as I haven’t received a check and she told me there was a credit back to my card. Um, which is it? Turns out neither as my statement doesn’t show a credit. I called back and she berated me, called me a liar and hung up. I will be refuting charge.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY– THEY ARE COMPLETE JERKS. STAY AWAY!!!

Not happy about their business practices. They didn’t tell me ahead of time there was a problem with my payment, then showed up an hour earlier, and then took payment from a guest because I wasn’t there yet.
No one told me all this until later, needless to say I was pissed.

I must of had a good day and staff bc my experience was great! I followed everyone’s post and booked them 2 hours in advance. well they arrived 1 hour before the time they were suppose to be there. They were not late at all. They arrived 20 mins before the time of pick up. Not sure why everyone is in a pickle. I would recommend them for sure!

I was referred by Steve at Star Jump — Fremont.
I needed a last-​minute jumper with an exterior slide for a birthday party with a specific color scheme. After calling about a dozen local jumpers, I nearly went with a regular bounce house. They either did not have one available, only had the combo 4-​in-​1 with a slide inside, or costs $ 50-​$ 70 more for a large slide on the side.
I found Bay Area Jump to have the largest variety and quantity of products and services available. I read some of the reviews here on Unilocal,decided to take the risk, and I was not disappointed.
My order was for 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Bay Area Jump arrived at 10 AM to deliver and set up the jumper. They returned at 7 PM to pick it up. The jumper was clean with only one tiny hole on the banner; not on the jumper itself. The price was still about $ 20 more than their competitors’ (hence, the 1 star deduction) but I really couldn’t be picky on such short notice.
Bay Area Jump was professional, friendly, punctual and best of all, they provided good quality entertainment. They will remain my secondary jumper provider in the Bay Area.
