Have been coming here for a very long time. I would never go to anyone else. The owner is the best guy you will ever meet. The staff is the best ever. they treat everyone with kindness. I had some major work done several times here and they did a great job. I won’t take my car to any one else.

These guys really are the best. If you want honest accurate service come here. They are hard working and do the right thing everytime. If something should be under warranty they will tell you to go the dealership, if it is something they can help you with they will do it at a fair price. If they can save you from buying a whole new part or tire or whatever it is, they will. Thong is a humble good guy and will take care of you as family. Mercedes ML 350 2015.

We have been coming to Westcoast Tire for over 10 years. Their customer service and quality haven’t changed. Dan rebuilt my transmission on my 2006 Subaru Forrester for a fraction of what it would have cost me elsewhere. They have loaned me their cars, driven me home and never disappointed me. Thong and his crew are honest, and friendly. It’s totally normal to see Thong greet the customers like old friends. Thanks for taking such good care of my car.

BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER! they tried to charge me $ 1400 for something that was supposed to cost me $ 50. Don’t waste your money on this place.

I’ve been using Westcoast for the past few years as a referral from a friend (after moving to California about 3 years ago) and I have to say Thong is by far the most genuine, honest, and knowledgable mechanic and business owner I’ve met in a VERY long time. Having left my family mechanic back in Colorado, I was skeptical about finding a trustworthy alternative here in Southern California… though I have to say I have been more impressed with Thong and his staff in a few short years than my previous mechanic for over 15 years. I have had all kinds of service done with Thong… oil changes, tire rotations, brake pads, shocks, struts, alignments, and most recently called him to check in about an issue that the Toyota dealership alerted me to when taking it in for a noise from the front end. Despite it having been several months since his last service, Thong gave me a time to come in THAT DAY. Literally the MINUTE I arrived, he walked out with me (bringing along a floor mat protector to put in my truck in his seat) and took a drive with me to diagnose the noise I was hearing (the same noise Toyota couldn’t diagnose after 4 visits to the dealership). 3 minutes in he knew exactly what the issue was (cupping tires), took me back to the shop, rotated the tires ON THE SPOT, and took me out for another drive… problem solved. I was completely blown away… NEVER have I had that kind of service from (a) a mechanic and (b) the owner of a [very busy] business. As a side note — I had told him when first talking (before the test drive) that I thought it was a wheel bearing or, worse, a problem with the front differential… it would have been quite easy to convince me of either if he wanted to. On the way back to the shop he simply said «drop me off here and you’re on your way.» I asked him what I owed for the rotation… nothing! Toyota charges $ 125 just to LOOK at my truck… the ONLY reason I have ever taken it to them is due to the warranty coverage… once that is expires, they will never see my face again. Could not be happier or more impressed with the service and integrity… customer for life.

Been coming here for 3 years now (didn’t even know until I saw my first Unilocal review! wow time flies when you get great service and run an amazing business!). My whole family comes and services their cars here (3 Mercedes, 1 Cadillac, 1 Volvo, and 1 BMW) and we have never received anything less than 100% amazing service. Sure okay, one time I think the service was 99.9% great but then quickly worked to fix whatever area it was they might have been faulty on and BAM! just like that they are always more than willing to make it right for all of their customers. EVERY customer is a valued customer and that is WHY they are the best auto shop in town. I used to take my BMW X3 to get serviced there almost religiously until it was totaled in a car accident in December of 2015 :(
I actually factored in how sad I was gonna be by not having a car to bring in and visit unless I drove one of my family members cars to get it serviced… lol
I just replaced my car this last week and I am so STOKED to know I’m going to be saving myself LOADS of money on service for my newer 2013 BMW X3 and know I will never receive anything less than stellar service. I won’t update my reviews anymore simply to save you guys’ the Unilocal space– I swear by my name that even if I tried I would never be able to give this place anything less than 5 stars. Quality everything. Thank you guys so much for the last 3 years of trustworthy and honorable work on my families cars, can’t wait to see Thong, Dan, Chris, and everyone else! :)

I live in Huntington Beach and drive all the way down to see Westcoast tire & service for about 10 years now. They will always tell you what need, could use, and dont need. If you want an honest mechanic this is the place. Prices are extremely competitive. But what you cant put a price on is the peace of mind after comimg here. Thong and his crew are the best. Highly recommended.

We have been loyal customers of West Coast since 2006. Thong has always been very honest and knowledgable when servicing our cars. We started patronizing this shop when we lived in Dana Point, but have since moved a half an hour away and still don’t consider taking our cars anywhere else. We are treated very well as customers and trust the recommendations made by Thong.
Full disclosure, there was a time years ago that Chris tried to upsell me on a very expensive amount of «recommended maintenance», but I have not found this to be the usual practice here. He only did that once and has since always been reliable.

AWESOME service. We own our pest control company, A Quality Pest Control. Out truck is our «office on wheels». I ran over a very large piece of metal that puncture the tire. We rushed over here and was assisted by Thong. He immediately fixed the tire and got us back on the road. Honest and Awesome Service!!! Will be back for a set of tires for my bug for sure!

Can’t say enough about the service at this shop, between the entire team. Chris, Daniel, and Thong are pretty much my trusted car crew. Knew when I met Chris and we had the same last name that everything was gonna be legit. Bottom line, prices are more than reasonable, the service is trustworthy, and I have no doubt or concern when my car is in their hands. Since I use my vehicle for work, it is important that I find a reliable shop. Now that I have, it makes things all the easier. 5 Star service, each time.

These guys are great. The first thing I had done here a few years back were struts and tires. They quoted several hundred under my previous place. I’ve had my A/​C worked on and always get my tires and oil done here. They always check everything and I know they are honest with what is up with my older car. They are nice, fast, and do great work.

The mechanic gave me a ride to work and also picked me up when my car was done.
I’m so done with dishonest mechanics who rob me. It’s so nice to do business with honest people who explain exactly what you need and do exactly that without ripping you off. I will definitely come back. I live in Costa Mesa but it’s worth the drive to bring my vehicle back here!!!

Not too bad. I always come here for my oil changes when I need one close to home. The only way to get semi fast service is to be the first customer in the am. I tend to drop my car off and come back in a couple hours for a basic oil change. They always find something wrong with my car tho so hmmm. My whole family comes here. They have always been nice to me here. I go to a couple different mechanics and they are one of them.

Brought in my car because I thought I had a nail in the front tire. the pricing was great on the repair and they were able to get it checked out in just 20 minutes within me brining it to them. Sadly the tire wasn’t able to be repaired and they didn’t charge me for looking at it. I would definitely go back in the future if I ever needed anything repaired or tire related for any of my other cars or vans they were very professional and easy to deal with.

Thong and his team have rebuilt two engines in our family vehicles (09′ chrsyler pt cruiser + 97′ acura integra) Both are running fantastic and drive like new, all at a price that was reasonable and affordable. The cherry on top is the service you will get here. You will always know the exact issues in your vehicle when dealing with Thong. he is thorough and will only fix needed items; no upselling unneccesary repairs. he does this all with a smile on his face and treats you like a member of his family.

We were visiting the area with our trailer camping at Doheny State Beach. We realized when we arrived that we needed tires in a bad way. Calling around, these guys were the most honest, and had the best price. They don’t stock tires but had them ready first thing the next morning.
When we arrived we realized the service bays would be impossible to pull the trailer into. This was no problem as they had us pull in front of the office and they brought their tools out, almost NASCAR style. We were quoted about an hour to do the job but we were out of there in half that time.
The staff was great, the service excellent, the prices competitive, and I would suggest anyone to give them a try.

West Coast Tires & Service is the only place I will take my Fisker Karma to get tires and service. Thong and his team are professional and take great care of my ride. They do such a good job making sure my car running smooth and their service competitive
compare to other places I have taken my car to for service.
