We are a family owned & operated Wine Bar (craft beers too) that just opened up in downtown historical San Juan Capistrano right near the Mission, movie theatre, Amtrak station and Los Rios St. If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy some amazing small lot wines, have a glass of cold beer, nibble on some yummy cheese & appetizers and shoot the breeze, well then you just found your second home!

We offer wine tastings by 2oz, or by the glass or partake in a bottle. We also offer wine flights that we have created for your adventurous soul, but you can also get crafty and explore our wine list by creating your own flight too! So many wine options! We are also a shop — when you find your favorite wine, buy it for a friend! We have live music nights, wine maker nights, blind tasting nights, wine 101 nights… check our calendar of events for happenings!

Planning a special event gathering — birthday party, corporate, rehearsal, wedding… any party really we have you covered!

History

Established in 2012.

We just opened our doors in December of 2012 with our Grand Opening on January 10^th of 2013!

This, of course, was after years of my husband and I saying «let’s open our own Wine Bar» so as you can tell it has been a long time dream of ours to open our own business and share the love with friends & family! Why Five Vines? We are all about family! — and our family is myself, my husband and our 3 boys (hence five vines)! We could not have taken this huge leap of faith and opened our own business without the family all in 100%. So here we go… come on in and meet our family and ask about our fun family-​named wine flights too! We look forward to meeting you and your family soon!

Hi — Thank you for looking into our Wine Bar (craft beer, small bites too) that we just opened in downtown San Juan Capistrano! After 12 years of being a Director of Special Events and planning over 300 weddings, birthdays, corporate events, etc a year I said to myself, «I am not getting any younger, life is getting shorter and I do not want to keep thinking „what if“ so here we go!» We are making our dream come true, taking a huge leap of faith and opening up our own Wine Bar business that incorporates everything that we love… family, friends, meeting new people, relaxation, parties, fun, food, shopping and of course great wine, cool beer and our favorite apps!!! The only thing I ask of you is to come in, enjoy it all with us and tell us, in person preferably :-), both the negative and the positive when you are there so we can make it an amazing experience for you too!
