My only complaint is that I have to wait over a week to get my dishwasher fixed because Keith is THAT busy! It’s worth the wait and I feel like if it were the refrigerator, he would make time to come out sooner, so our food wouldn’t spoil. However, I can wash dishes until he gets here. I wouldn’t call anyone else.

This is a great locally owned family run business in it’s SECOND generation… my folks relied on Marshall years ago and now my family has relied on his son Keith for the last few years to keep our appliances working away! Seems, we need his help several times a year…
Call early – some days they get busy – but with good reason! No worries if you get the voice mail – leave a message and they’re great at calling back shortly… The service is prompt, friendly, honest and Keith is knowledgeable and gives you a written estimate before the work: He has also been honest enough to tell me when it is just time to go get something new as the repair would be too costly. It’s so great to have local folks who truly enjoy and take pride in their work! Thanks Keith!

Courteous, knowledgable, and prompt! This family owned business is excellent from the time you call to set an appointment through the service visit. I’ve owned my washer/​dryer for 8 years and like to have a maintenance check once a year to keep them in good working condition. Keith arrived on time, disassembled my washer/​dryer and tended to the wearing parts, then gave a thorough assessment of their condition. I’m good to go for another year!
Highly recommend routine maintenance on appliances to keep them running well to ward off emergencies!

I must say this was a breath of fresh air. Finally, a service guy who takes pride in his work and isn’t out to screw you. We had a dishwasher problem and after an hour or so the dishwasher was as good as new.
He was very thorough and cleaned the gunk out of the filter and replaced a broken blade. Even found some hidden broken glass.

Nothing but wonderful things to say about this husband and wife team. I called and left a detailed message. Keith’s wife called me back within 2 hours, and we scheduled a day and time for Keith to come out and fix our dishwasher. She also knew to take down the brand and model number of our dishwasher so Keith could pick up parts before arriving. He came on time, diagnosed the problem, and fixed the dishwasher… all with a smile. Super nice guy. We’ll definitely be calling again for our appliance fixing needs. Thanks for the great service!

My fridge was cooling very erratically. Keith checked it out and found a ton of dog hair inside the back (thank you previous homeowners). He felt very confident that was the problem and gave me a thorough explanation on why he thought that was all it was. Then he cleaned it all out and very kindly only charged me the service call. I feel satisfied that he solved my problem but with the 90 day warranty, if the problem should reappear, he’ll be back to investigate further without an additional service call. I appreciate that he didn’t automatically jump to replacing parts (which he said he really didn’t think I needed.) I have found my «appliance» guy.
9 PM — update to my review.
A few hours after Keith left, my freezer started doing the same thing it had been. I had just returned from the grocery store but luckily had not bought much. I called and left a voice mail because it was after hours for the office. Within an hour, Keith had called and even tho it was going to make a late night for him, he came back after his last call. He spent quite a bit of time trying to determine what the problem is because what is happening is not a normal kind of malfunction. In the end, I said I wondered if I should get a Bosch factory service person since this is an unusual problem he has never encountered before and he agreed it was probably the right course. He said he wanted to refund my service fee since he had not been able to solve my problem. Then on his way home at 9PM, he called to tell me what parts might be involved and their cost online just so I would have that information. So now I like him even better. Sure he couldn’t fix my problem, but for me that is secondary to the customer service he provided. It’s just unfortunate I have a brand that is not his specialty. So anyway, I will still call him on any of my other appliances because they are all brands he is completely familiar with — he is really a go the extra mile kind of guy. Thanks, Keith

I finally called when I had three kitchen issues to resolve. After a few emails with detailed pictures they were able to buy the parts ahead of time and fix both my Thermador cooktop, my KitchenAid icemaker, rehung my dishwasher to fix the squeak and leaking particleboard.
Imagine that –an appliance company who has the foresight to get the parts first instead of making two trips to your house– I was very impressed with that alone!
Keith was knowledgeable, professional, efficient prompt and prices were reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any appliance repair!

Awesome, affordable service. Upon a personal referral, called Coast and left a message with info about our dryer. Had a call back within 2 hours, appointment scheduled 2 days later. Problem diagnosed within 10 minutes, with part in the truck to repair. Did a complete «clean out» of the lint and drum area — found 12+ bobby pins! — checked all the moving parts and provided me a print out of the actual part number of the lint screen I needed to also replace, along with a recommendation of where to purchase. In and out in under 45 minutes, under $ 250. Will definitely refer to others and call when the darn washer goes out! Professional, flexible and personable. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

How many times do you have a terrific repair service and the next time you call it is awful! Well this did NOT happen to us! We had Coast Appliance Services repair our Advantium oven and it was such a terrific experience. Not only did Keith do a super job, he explained everything and saved us money. Fast forward two years.. .Our Bosch dishwasher had issues. I called and Keith came out. Diagnosed the problem and said he would get the part and come out the next day. Later the same day he called and told me he had picked up the part and came out about 6pm to fix it! I was so impressed at his professionalism and concern for his clients (in my case — fan!). I would and will wholeheartedly recommend Coast to anyone who needs a real professional!

Our washing machine was leaking and the agitator wasn’t working properly. We telephoned coast appliance and Keith arrived at 6:00 p.m. on the same day we called. This was after he had serviced all his other customers that day. We had no expectation that he would be able to come that day. The job was more than anticipated because Keith discovered more problems with the 15 year old washing machine. Yet, the whole repair proces took @ 2 hours. This machine is now running like it’s brand new. We whole heartily agree with all of the superlatives other people have written in their Unilocal reviews. Keith is personable, knowledgable, experienced, fast at diagnosing problems, fast at repairing said problems and is fair and reasonably priced. Other business and service providers could learn from Keith. We are very pleased to give him the highest recommendation. We would rate him higher than 5 stars.

I called Coast Appliance when my oven stopped working and my fridge had a leak. Keith arrived on time and correctly figured out and fixed both in under an hour for $ 236! Great job! Great service! Had the parts! I am a very happy customer!

Our Bosch dishwasher quit working right before Christmas 2013. I called Coast Appliance and spoke with Celeste, who was very professional and helpful. She arranged for Keith to come out a couple of days later. There had been a small leak that triggered a sensor that shut down the dishwasher. I was charged a typical fee for the visit and labor involved in cleaning up the spilled water and the unit appeared to be fine. We used it successfully throughout the holiday season and washed the usual ton of dishes the holidays bring.
The day after New Years another problem occurred, a terrible vibration and noise that did not quit when we shut off the dishwasher. Water was rising in the bottom pan, so I shut the water supply off. Apparently we now had a bad fill valve, and after a couple more days wait Keith came out and replaced the part, which he had in stock on his truck. This time we were charged for the part and the labor, but we were credited for the original service call cost. To Keith’s credit, he spent time removing the wood trim from the bottom of the unit, which had been nailed in. Not really his job, but he did it without complaint.
Keith is very personable, knowledgeable and honest. It is hard to find good repair people today. Based on my experience, I would hire Keith again, and it was also a pleasure to speak to Celeste on the phone, she was sympathetic to my plight of having a wife doing the dishes by hand!

I used Coast Appliance Services for the first time this week to repair my KitchenAide dishwasher. After describing the problem over the phone, I received a quote for parts and labor. Keith called about an hour before he arrived to let me know what time he would arrive. He was professional, efficient and courteous and explained what he was doing. I was very happy with the service and the price and will be using him again.

My dishwasher was making a strange noise and after getting tired of washing dishes by hand, finally searched for «dishwasher repairs,» and selected Coast Appliance Services. Glad I did, too! Keith was prompt and made a special trip to make sure this was taken care of ASAP. In fact, he accurately diagnosed the suspected needed repair on the phone and his diagnosis was right on — the grinder/​chipper was clogged and within 30 minutes he was in and out. He even gave me a discounted rate — woohoo! I’ll be sure to contact Keith and Coast Appliance Services again for any other appliance help. He certainly gets 5 stars!

It is now Saturday, December 15^th, at 8:30am, and I have not heard back from this so-​called «Keith». Not even a courtesy call-​back saying that he is unable to help me with my repair. Thanks for nothing, Coast Appliance and «Keith». I went ahead and made a call to Appliance Medic (
) and they returned my call within a few hours and came by the next day to service my ice maker. They were not able to fix the problem, but they immediately referred me and forwarded all of my information to A & A Appliance in Irvine and they are scheduled to come and repair my icemaker on Monday morning. Will keep you updated!

I can’t begin to say how pleased I am with this company. Keith was efficient. and effective. He knew all my appliances (multi brands) and took the time to tweak little things and then showed me how to do some easy maintenance — all at a very reasonable rate.

I am a new home owner with old appliances. I called Keith to come and repair my bottom oven and dishwasher. He called me back promptly, set up a time window and did the work flawlessly. He explained what he was doing and didn’t gouge me with unnecessary work. Both appliances are like new and he was reasonably priced. I will recommend him to all my friends.

Keith is great. It is understandable that a person who is a sole proprietor of a service business might not be able to answer all phone calls, and does deserve a day off now and then. I called him on a Saturday and left him a detailed message, including an indication it was not an emergency. He call on Monday morning and already knew the cost and availability of a part he thought I needed. We set up and appointment, he quoted me a price. He called 30 minutes before arrive as he said he would. Work was done with great skill and integrity. Price was less than it could have been. Keith’s technical skill and service orientation are impressive. I recommend him without reservation. I would be amazed it you did not agree.
