History

Established in 2010.

Veterinary assistant, and Owner of Care for Curs (Sara Backes) has been caring for both large and small animals since she was 10 years old. Sara’s early animal experience began with her own family’s animals, neighborhood pets, and the 4-H program. In 2003, Sara was hired at her first Veterinary Hospital, and soon after began pet sitting professionally, doing rescue work, and training dogs. Sara is Licensed (DBA), Pet First Aid, and CPR Certified.

Because of her Veterinary & Rescue connections, many of the pets Sara cares for, suffer from chronic medical or behavioral issues. She has a knack for connecting with special needs pets, and has made catering to these animals and their owners, the cornerstone of her business.

Business Owner

Owner & Pet Care Specialist, Sara Backes, has over 20 years of experience caring for large and small animals, as well as 11 years of experience in the veterinary medical field. Sara has a passion for animal care & rescue work, and is certified to perform Pet First Aid & CPR.

«My mission is to provide the best possible care for each pet in the absence of their family. Change in routine can be stressful and scary for any pet, often resulting in anxiety, bad bathroom habits, loss of appetite & unusual destructive behavior. Although most boarding facilities are clean & safe, your pet is still exposed to a number of other elements. I know firsthand, that boarded pets are often cared for by young, under-trained & under-paid staff, so I offer a fun and familiar alternative to the hustle & bustle of those busy boarding facilities. I guarantee my clients the comfort of knowing their furry family members are safe at home, and happy in their familiar surroundings.»
