Zerorez Bay Area

I have used Zerorez in 3 houses in 3 different states and always been very happy.
I have used this Zerorez twice in this house in 3 yrs, and both times I am less that satisfied.
The first time, the technician didn’t seem to know what he was doing, and I had to tell him to go over certain stains again, and I asked for my sofa to be cleaned as well. The sofa looked worse after he was done!
This week I had them come again and specified that I wanted a different technician. They sent Andrew who was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable and he did get my carpet VERY clean. However, again I asked for my sofa to be cleaned, paid quite a bit for cleaning and a treatment to prevent stains from soaking in, and my sofa looked worse after the cleaning. I spent 3 hours today, re cleaning my sofa, and after paying as much as I did to Zerorez, I am unhappy since I did a much better job.
My take away is that they are great for carpet but don’t ask them to clean upholstery!

Heard about Zerorez on radio and liked the idea that they don’t use chemicals. They were on time, the price was reasonable and they did a great job! I will definitely use them again.

Why anyone ever uses another company to clean carpets, I’ll never understand. If you really want your carpets clean and to get all the stains out that you think are impossible to get out, these are the guys to call! I’ve used Zerorez for years and thought it was time I do a Unilocal review on them. I used several other companies before trying them and just thought I’d have to live with paint and rust stains on my carpet – even bought a rug to cover up some of the stains. The first time I used Zerorez, I was amazed! They got all the old paint stains out and even the rust stain under the throw rug! Since then we’ve had many pet stains removed – and we have a 80 lb dog so the stains are NOT small. This company, if they don’t get the stain out the first time (which can sometimes happen with a urine stain), they will come back and get the last remnants of the stain out for free! What this has meant for me is that it always comes out completely on the second visit. They are certainly not the cheapest but they are the best value. The other companies I’ve tried won’t come out again for free and they ultimately cannot get the stains out so, in the end, I’ve ended up calling Zerorez to re-​clean my carpet. My experience is that Zerorez always arrives in the window of service quoted and even calls my cell to give me a heads up that they are on their way! One last thing that I want to mention is that the technology they use sets them apart and that’s why they can get stains out that other companies cannot. Before you give up on your carpet and buy new, give these guys a call and see what they can do! It might save you thousands of dollars!

This is the second time I’ve used Zerorez. They are prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and will not stop until the job is completed. Their service techs are prompt, courteous and always on time. I didn’t need to «oversee» their work, as I have with some of the major names in the area.
Everyone I’ve recommended them to have been equally as happy. Their products are earth friendly. Zerorez is customer friendly. They will be my permanent carpet cleaners.

These guys do a great carpet cleaning job… just beware if you use these guys in a business setting.
The carpet cleaning was $ 133, yet by the time these guys finally arrived at the appointment and did the work, we had to travel out to the unit twice (a rental unit, charging our employer $ 135 for time & mileage). The owner also suffered lost rent waiting for these guys.
Total cost to the employer: $ 395
A major hassle, dealing with these guys. Major frustrations with their customer service (apparently a Call Center out in Texas-​they don’t have a problem making guesses when answering your questions).
The first technician arrived outside of the appointment window and said he inspected the place and it wasn’t doable with hoses (apparently the owner/​manager!)… then a second technician came out and did it with hoses easy as pie.
They do a great job for a fair price. You just might want to think twice if you are using them in a business equation.

I booked Zerorez because I have stains that resurfaced about 6 months after the last time I had my carpet cleaned professionally. I was hoping that their special treatment would be more effective and better for the health of me and my cats. I booked Zerorez to come out today (Saturday) from 2−6pm. I planned my whole day around this service window. Then I got a call at noon saying that their morning appointments had been canceled and if I wasn’t able to have them clean my carpets right then, they’d have to reschedule. So I hustled to change my plans for the day to accommodate this strange ultimatum. Then when the workers came in and saw my stairs (about which I’d explicitly told the customer service rep when booking) they said that they could not use their portable cleaner on them and what I really needed was extra hose, which apparently they did not have with them. They also said that they charge $ 5/​step which was not told to me on the phone. So in order to have them clean my carpets I would have had to pay $ 5/​step (two flights of stairs so that is already nearly $ 200) on top of the $ 75 fee for the portable to use in my closet.
The workers who came to my place were very nice and refreshingly candid. I asked, «Why didn’t they tell me this on the phone when I explicitly told them about the stairs?» To which the worker replied, «Because communication at this company sucks.» So it’s entirely possible that this magical treatment Zerorez uses is beyond amazing, but I won’t ever know because they fumbled so hard by not accurately quoting the cost of service or the tools that would be needed for the job and putting the onus on me to reschedule my day when I was already working around their schedule. I was SO looking forward to having my carpets cleaned today, and now my home cleaning and reorganization plan is completely derailed by this.

Couldn’t have been better! We had four bedrooms and a hallway carpet cleaned. The technician Martin was prompt and courteous and very knowledgeable. Quality work at a fair price. I will definitely use them again.

I am really surprised with how poor an experience we had with Zerorez, given the great rating they have here and on Angie’s List. I will say that the guys are very nice and very honest. They did their best to rectify the issues we had with them, but the results of their process is the worst carpet & upholstery cleaning experience we’ve ever had.
We hired Zerorez to come clean the carpets, hardwood, and tile for our entire home in addition to some couches and chairs. They explained the process to us and how they’re different from steam cleaning services. Apparently they’re more eco-​friendly, which definitely would be a good thing if the effectiveness was similar.
For the upstairs and staircase carpets, their magnetic suction method just didn’t clean as well as more conventional steaming methods. While the carpets did get cleaner, it just wasn’t even close to what we’ve always otherwise seem when they’ve been cleaned. The guys came back twice more to redo the areas when we weren’t happy, and I guess the carpets look good now. Just frustrating when it doesn’t happen the first time.
They did our dining room chairs, which really weren’t affected at all. To their credit, Zerorez acknowledged that they weren’t cleaner and didn’t charge us.
Then there is our living room couch. In cleaning the upholstery, Zerorez created two large (about 6“x6″) bleached-​looking spots on the upholstery. They were puzzled by it and took the cushions with them to be «studied» to figure out what the issue was and what they could do to fix it. As it turns out, they have no idea. So we have a ruined couch. They paid for reupholstering, but it’s a hassle and a process we’d really rather not have to go through.
We definitely won’t be using Zerorez again. I’m grateful for their courtesy and honesty, but it’s better to do it right the first time.

Fantastic experience. Our Tech was on time and so accommodating. Did a great job and made sure we were happy before he left. He will be my zerorez go to guy in the future.

Zerorez team members are prompt, courteous and professional. They even protect wall corners from damage when moving cleaning hoses. Carpets dry fast with a slight refreshing orange odor.
I would highly recommend them.

I am pretty sure I got taken on the pricing. 1300 $ (after a 20% discount) to clean 3 sets of carpeted stairs, granite counters in the kitchen and the ceramic tile in one bathroom. The guys were nice, Chris and Raymond, but some of the items that I was charged for I had not even agreed to ie; 90 $ charge for «scotch guard», now I am thinking can Zerorex even do «scotch guard»? 300 $ extra charge for colored grout sealant for the ceramic instead of clear color! And the whopper was the 800 $ for cleaning and sealing the granite (tiles), sealing was just spraying something on it and rubbing it all over. The counter was already in pretty good shape and the one area of concern by the sink is still dingy. The bathroom ceramic tile floor has residue all over it, I think it is that sealant, I hope it will come off! I took a wet towel and wiped some of it off of the tiles but I will need to scrub the whole thing. The shower ceramic doesn’t look any better than it did, it is covered with soap stains. I had some cleaning people that did a better job in the shower than this. Lastly the carpet on the stairs seems pretty good except the edges are still dirty and Chris said the tool to clean the edges is available but the charge to use it is so high per square foot that you might as well buy new carpet. For the prices I paid today I might have been able to do that! There is no catch here, only 2 of us and 2 pets, (one shedder) but a pretty well maintained 3br townhouse, I am stunned by these prices.
Updating: I just looked on their website and found this regarding their cleaning of a «shower enclosure»:

Now I feel even worse. Chris told me that they could NOT clean the glass of the shower enclosure, and they didn’t! Look like new again? How are they going to get hard water stains/​soap off glass when they cannot get it off the tiles in the shower? This isn’t right.

We’ve been using Zerorez for years. Our carpets are old (27 years) but very high quality. Chris got them cleaner than they were after the last time we had them cleaned. Since Zerorez has cleaned our carpets before, we were quoted a price over the phone and that’s exactly what we were charged. We had three rooms, a small hallway, a staircase and several other steps cleaned with their special… it was $ 209. I find my carpets get dirty less quickly after Zerorez cleans them. We’ve had them cleaned with traditional methods with soap and thought they got dirty very quickly because the soap residue attacks dirt. I wouldn’t hire anyone else to clean my carpets anymore.

Great job Zerorez! Did an amazing job on our carpets as we prepared our home for sale. This included a couple of pet stains that we never thought would come up. The team was friendly and professional, and the carpets look like new, with no odor or residue.
Would recommend Zerorez to anybody looking to get their carpets cleaned.

These people are phenominal. Fast and good at what they do. I have referred them and used them… do not hesitate~ they are great!

Once again, my experience was amazing.
Even with a need to reschedule, everything was perfect.
The zerorez guy showed up and went straight to work. He explained the process, and completed his task. He was thorough and didn’t miss an inch of our carpet. It looks great, now a week has passed.
No fragrance, no residue, it dried quickly.
I’ll definitely call them again. Highly recommended!!!

Had Zerorez out today. Chris was friendly & professional. Both gentlemen were great!
My concern & issue comes when I spoke to the company I was quoted about $ 130 with the mailer special. I did mention that we have pets & she said that there is an extra fee for that & the technicians would go over that with me.
As they were going through the rooms the quote suddenly jumped to over $ 600! What?! No! I’ve never had a company quote & expect that kind of money… They stated they would lower the price & only charge $ 399. Still more than I expected or wanted to pay. Live & learn but I’m confident I won’t use them again because of their pricing tactics.

My wife and I have used Bay Area Zerorez for YEARS! After she passed away, almost 3 years ago, I really got «out of synch» with some things and cleaning the carpets was one of them. No longer! I had Tony (Ford) and Jasiel (Valenzuela) come to my home this morning and they did a completely wonderful job! I have a pair of young kitties, 6 ½ years old, and our «boy» had made a mess of the carpets. Tony and Jasiel did such a great job that I will absolutely remember to have them here again in a year! This time I’m putting it on the calendar! Thanks, guys!

Just had my dining room and stairway cleaned. Jesse called before he arrived to give me the arrival time which was great!
He explained how the system worked and explained that other carpet cleaners that use soap soil more easily. He used those shoe booties and was very pleasant.
He did a fabulous job! I highly recommend.
