Yoogool

This place is great! it’s extremely close to my house and the strawberry fresh tea is so good! highly suggest you try it

They have definitely improved a lot since the last time I came here! The milk tea is very good; I got the coffee and my friends got the jasmine and the rose ones, and everyone liked theirs. It’s also only $ 2.99 for basic flavors, which is fantastic.

I have been here twice and gotten the black melon milk tea and the mint milk tea which I thought was creamy and tasted ok plus the sushi. The young guy that help me seems nice and attentive but one of the girl that help me the second time around (short hair) girl think she is the owner seems pissed off no smile, feels like I was bothering her by ordering.

I wasn’t really expecting much because I don’t usually like teas, but I thought I’d give their strawberry milk tea with mango bits a shot and it was surprisingly delicious. I also gave their mango smoothie a whirl, it was amazing. Definitely reccommend.

I agree with other reviews below the customer service is really bad. The young guy did not greet or smile when we walked in, when I’m deciding the order he just stood there impatiently, once I done ordering drink he asked me to sign on the iPad and at the same time he pushed the tip jar in from of me, really?
We ordered two drinks and waited forever, there is no other customers! The drink is actually not bad but service need to improve, a lot.

I really like the specialty drinks here like the Roasted Black Melon. But the customer service really is terrible here.
I would have given this place 4 stars when the older people are working and they’re very courteous. However, lately the young kids have been working and they have no sense of customer service.
Here’s the breakdown of the problems:
–I have never been to a tea place where you say no ice and they cut down your drink to 70% full. If you want them to fill it up all the way up with no ice, they want an extra 50 cents. Fantasia, TenTen, Tea Island, 7 Leaves, etc. don’t do this so I do not know why they have to do this. It doesn’t cost you much to product these drinks since you’re making them by the gallons.
–Need to be more understanding of customers with sensitive teeth due to cold, hot, sweetness, etc.
–The biggest complaint is how they treat and interact with customers. You say «Hi, how are you doing» they just stand there and don’t even reply. You say «Thank you» when they give you your drink, no reply from them.
Pros:
–Some really tasty milk tea drinks. 1 star for this.
Quit pinching pennies and be courteous to customers. This comment is specifically for the young, small Asian girl that works at the counter taking orders. If you don’t want to interact with customers, go work somewhere else. Customers are doing you a favor by spending their money here, you’re NOT the one doing them a favor.
I’ve seen this place go through a few owners already. It won’t last if they keep these practices.

I’ve been here a total of 4 time now and they open in the afternoon. I really like their fresh juice and I tried the super green juice and red goody! I’ve also tried the lychee melon tea but it was kind of bitter, so it wasn’t that good.
I recommend trying the Berry Guava tea and Pink Passion! All the house special iced tea comes with toppings inside.

I had been wanting to come here a while because it looked like a unique place.
Here’s the low-​down:
YooGool is located in the cute little new plaza that just opened in Evergreen. Parking can be a little difficult when school gets out because a lot of kids and parents go there. I came on a Friday night around 8:30 pm, about 30 minutes before they closed.
The place is not that big. There’s only about five tables in there. They have a cute little TV playing EDM music, their menus are all on the back wall behind the counter, and there’s a bathroom on the side. They have cute decorations with lights and cool tables.
They have a large selection of drinks on the menu. They include milk tea, smoothies, other tease, and cremas. They also have ice cream and frozen yogurt. They also had chips and little cups of gummy bears.
One thing I did not like was that there didn’t seem to be any food in sight other than what I mentioned. On their Unilocal page there’s pictures of sushi, soup, and popcorn chicken. I asked the girl at the counter if they had any of this but she said that they didn’t. I don’t know if they were put up on the wrong Unilocal page or if they had just gotten rid of that. But the Unilocal page seem to be kind of misleading because I do not have any of this anymore.
My friends and I each got a Boba drink. We got a honey longan white milk tea, peppermint salted caramel milk tea, chocolate milk tea, coffee milk tea, and unsweetened black tea, with three drinks having Boba. My order was almost $ 18 which is a decent price for five drinks. They also except five star rewards.
The wait time for our drinks was under five minutes which was decent. We then got our drinks. Mine turned out to not be a milk tea but in fact a crema. I didn’t realize that they put actual longan in the tea so that was a surprise. The drink tasted pretty good overall. My friends choclate milk tea was reeeeaally chocolatey but he liked it. The peppermint caramel was just ok. They coffee milk tea was underwhelming. My friend liked his black tea.
I noticed that the girl at the counter was on her phone a lot. She seemed kind of bored. The customers service kind of reflected that, she just seemed bored. That needs to be improved.
Overall:
YooGool is just kind of meh. The atmosphere is good but the drinks and service could be better. I probably wouldn’t go out of the way for it. Hopefully, they improve on their products and service.

I usually get black melon milk tea :) and it’s so good but they put too much ice. And also i dont recommend their popcorm chicken because it’s way too big and not very tasteful but it’s aight.

My friends and I were planning to go to Pekoe, but when we got there, the line was out the door (as usual) and no one felt like waiting. One of my friends suggested trying Yoogool, so we did, and I loved it!
So far, I’ve only tried their flavored tea (strawberry + honey + lychee) and I loved it! I asked for light ice and they gave the perfect amount. They also have above average honey boba. The tea was also above average, nothing too special but good enough for me to want to come back, especially since their prices aren’t super ridiculous like a lot of tea places these days. They also offer a large size for their tea which is great for a boba tea addict like myself. :) Yoogool is definitely a great alternative for Pekoe when you don’t feel like waiting in line 15 – 20 mins plus another 10 for your drink.
The store also has a ton of other snacks, candy, ice cream, frozen yogurt etc. for sale, so I look forward to coming back and trying different things that they offer!

Roasted Black Melon with white pearls and pudding is a must to try! I often alao add Black pearls.

Pha Lau is pretty yummy. 3 orders are enough to make 2 adults completely full.
Definitely will come back for Pha Lau and Roadted Black Melon.

We came here mainly to try pha lau since there’re not that many places serving it in San Jose. We had very high hopes since the pictures look ver promising. Unfortunately, it was a bust. It failed on so many levels. The color of the broth was off, supposed to look orangish not yellow like curry. The taste was nothing like pha lau. It smelled more like curry. And to tie it off, the dipping sauce was not tamarind based like traditional pha lau has. Overall, I don’t know why they advertised pha lau when it tastes nothing like one.
Onto the drinks, we ordered jasmine milk tea with sea cream. Nothing to write about the quality, pretty much average, no where near gong cha or tea society quality.
I would not come back for a second visit. The only reason why it’s a 3 star review, not a 1 star review, is because of excellent customer service. Unfortunately, it’s not a determine factor for me to become repeated customer.

The service are not that great, but the drinks are good, plus they give you alot. Don’t try any typw of fruit milk tea, it tasted like yogurt.

my kids love this place. We come and order to go often here. They love the sushi and the boba drinks and compare this place as the de facto standard.

My favorite iced tea place. It is such a cute shop with a nice atmosphere! I love their chocolate iced milk tea with boba and the leche iced milk tea with boba! I’m pretty much addicted to those two drinks.

I recently stopped by this shop for the first time in ages and was blown away by how cute-​cluttery the new vibe is.
The menu and offerings have been updated and I LOVE their brown sugar milk tea. I used to go all the way to Gong Cha or sharetea for a yummy Ominawa/​brown sugar tea but now there’s a great option down the street from me! Yay!
The sea cream special drinks are decent too.
The pearls are chewy, the upgrade to large size is $ 0.75 charge (it’s huge. Same as cool tea bar) and they accept Fivestars! I will be back often.

I tried Black Raspberry Fresh for couple times, and I did like it a lot. The drinks take kinda longer than other store, sometimes almost more than 10 minutes for me to have my drinks, even though they are not busy.
This place turn me to disappointed and for sure it gonna be my last time to visit this place. They did my oder wrong and I had to come back to tell them. Guess what, the worker said” Yeah, we know we missing the jelly for you, we will add some now”… I was like, hello if you know why didn’t you re-​make right away? And then plus i think they did not know that i am Vietnamese too and they said some comments about me and my drink and think that i did not understand. What a worst customer service is that? If you want to talk about customer’s back at least wait for them leave the store first.
I rate this 1 star for my previous good drinks, not the last one.

They get things done in a timely manner and are very polite, I definitely recommend coming here at least once in your life

Great people and nice to have so close to work! Classic boba milk tea and California rolls are super.

I don’t get why people say that the customer service here is poor. I feel like the staff there are very friendly and understanding. Their drinks never take any longer than 5 – 10 minutes to deliver and that’s not slow considering their crowding business. Their food I admit take a much longer time to make but that just means that it is fresh and not just some frozen thing that they microwave for us

Really awkward experience here. I came with another person & we ordered Thai iced tea and a strawberry milk tea. It took them a bit longer than expected to make them, which was fine.
There was another party waiting for their order. A man shows up with a drink & a cup of frozen yogurt. I asked if the drink was mine? He said yes, but not the yogurt.
A lady comes out right after him & pushes them towards me. She says they’re both mine. I cringed & thought, «maybe they misunderstood our order???» As I’m walking away, she starts yelling at me to come back, and the order belongs to someone else. It was very rude and unprofessional. Not to mention the fact that I had to hand it over to the other customer.
Quality wise, it wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t the best, either. The pearls were soft and sweet, but the drink wasn’t good enough to warrant a return!

This is the closest boba place from my house. If I don’t feel like going far, I like to come here to get the Jasmine Sea Salt Cream. Pretty consistent with how they make this drink and it’s very refreshing, especially on a hot day.

My whole family enjoys yoogool, but I do not like it. They go often and so I always give Yoogool many chances. I have ordered the thai tea, regular milk tea, taro tea, & tried whatever my family got. Every drink was bland and very watery. I do not understand how they like it, but the drinks are not for me. Also, every time I go the service is always slow.

Given the tea competition in the area, it’s shocking how slow and unfriendly the customer service is.
I came in on a Saturday afternoon and walked up right to the counter, but no one was out front. I waited a couple minutes then a woman came out from the back with someone else’s drinks. She didn’t say anything to me, no «thanks for waiting» or anything else. I ordered an earl grey milk tea without ice and she said it would take longer to get the tea cold. «How much longer?» Just «longer» she replied, and I reluctantly decided to wait.
I looked around the store and there were 4 other people waiting for their tea. Over the next several minutes, I counted four people come out of the back, FOUR! So you’d think the wait couldn’t be that bad with four employees and four customers, right?
Nope! Fifteen minutes later my drink was ready. And to top it off, the tea was really weak.
I will not be going back…

I come here at least once a week! Yoogool is so yummy! Great location in Evergreen Village Square, with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a really good selection of drinks and they even use fresh fruit in many of them. They also have frozen yogurt and recently added ice cream to the menu. Cute décor, and friendly staff. FYI, here is a $ 5 minimum charge to use a credit card, so bring cash if you are only planning to buy one drink.
There is a really cute little lake across from this shop, so it makes for a fun outing to walk around the lake while enjoying your drink :)

The service is the worst I’ve ever experienced at any store. I only go because it’s close and I know a lot of students stop by when schools nearby have early releases and such. I think that’s the only reason why people go: convenience of location.
— They got our order wrong MULTIPLE times when we go and when we ask them to fix it, they give us a look and throw the other drink away.
— Staff gives attitude.
— The wait is forever even when there aren’t any customers in the store.
— Questionable cleaning of the restroom.
— DON’T GET the rose milk tea; it tastes like something I would make in a chemistry lab. So gross.

3 stars for affordable drinks & a clean store.
Definitely made to appeal to the younger crowd in the surrounding area. The drinks are pretty cheap (under $ 4) for a large cup. The milk tea tastes nothing like tea and more like creamer. Personally, Yoogool isn’t my cup of tea, but my younger cousin loves this place.

In my head, Yoogool has been against hype sea cream front runners (ex. Gong Cha, Sharetea) in this imaginary race for the past several years. To the tune of Drake’s dumb song, they «started from tha bottom, now we hea». Currently Yoogool is in a three-​way tie against Gong Cha and Sharetea, surprisingly.
Though there is one glaring problem with Yoogool, which I’ll go over in a bit, the store really has perfected their sea cream recipe. It has a different taste and consistency than the other two, but it doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. Their sea cream is not as thick as Sharetea’s, but thick enough to stay afloat whatever tea you want to drink it with. It’s also on the sweeter side, but has a hint of saltiness that really makes the drink so good — kind of like salted caramel.
Now, the problem that I run into with Yoogool has to do with their menu length…
IT’S SO EFFING HUMONGOUS.
They started selling sushi and calling themselves the Sushi House. Their menu is getting more complicated than when I first came in around 2012. Now, they offer the following:
Frozen Yogurt
Milk Tea
Smoothies
Sea Cream Teas
Juices
Desserts like cheesecake and tiramisu
Sushi like complicated caterpillar rolls and simpler ones like CA rolls
Pandan Waffles
The list might be bigger than this actually! The problem I have with such a vast menu is that it’s so diversified, no way could they have one specialty item that is DA BOMB. So, this really is a clusterf*ck and can make a store like Yoogool tank.
So why do I now give Yoogool four stars?
Because they are able to override that problem. Again, their sea cream drinks are a delight and probably as good as its top competitors. I say give them a try! Taste for yourself!

Wanted to try a new Boba place this week so we chose this place because I bought a
coupon. It was pretty packed on Friday night due to aa event at the Evergreen Village. This shop is located at the corner, a nice little spot, but kind of small inside. There are also tables outside where you can sit and enjoy the outdoors.
We tried the following:
Yogurts — self serve with self serve toppings. Just like any other yogurt place
Raspberry cheesecake — looks like this was not freshly made, might have been store bought and they just sell by the slice.
Sea salt jasmine green tea — surprisingly this was really good and tasted like it was freshly made. I would come back to this place often just for this drink.
Because of the crowd, there was a bit of a wait for my drink, everything else came out fast.

I ordered 2 large milk teas: Asam milk tea with pandan pudding and pu er milk tea with coconut pudding.
I am giving this place a good rating because I have never before seen coconut and pandan pudding before and I also haven’t seem Asam nor pu er teas. I actually ordered a different tea and the girl there was making it in the espresso machine (strange but that’s how they brew it) and she told me that it wasn’t working because the tea was too chunky. This is why I am subtracting a star. How is it that they offer a tea without knowing how to make it? Is there not a method of brewing that tea? It seemed like I was probably the only one who ever ordered that tea. The girl was kind and apologetic so I didn’t mind much. The tea I got to replace it was delicious. Not too sweet and definitely was a nice change from having black milk tea or jasmine.
