W Computer and PC Repair

I’ve been to this computer repair store at least three times and have failed to write a review until now. David has helped me cure my laptop and desktops from the viruses that brought them to there knees. He cleared the problem, installed virus protection and saved the important stuff. And in every case had my computer back to me the next day. I feel like David is my own personal computer guy. Thanks David! I’ll be back…

This is truly a wonderful place: Great customer service, my computer was repaired in a timely manner (actually, I got my computer back before the estimated time), and David (the owner) is a really nice guy. You can tell he cares about his customers, and he always does what he can to help. Before I went to W Computer, I was really scared to take my computer someplace to be repaired. I was afraid that my computer was on its last legs, and I thought that it would cost me too much to get it repaired. However, my computer is running terrifically, and the repair did not take long at all. If you’re having any computer or video game problems, or if you’re interested in purchasing some computer parts, definitely give this place a call!

I brought my Wii console here, since it wasn’t reading the game discs. The laser diode had worn out, and they replaced it. The console has been working ever since. The price was good, and I used a coupon to save $ 10.

I came here to have my laptop’s fan cleaned. It turns out that my fan wasn’t dirty at all. Instead, my fan was broken so they had to order a replacement fan. They were nice enough to let me know what I was supposed to expect after the service and when they’ll have it ready by. Overall, they were very nice.
After all the replacement and repair, my total bill was $ 120. This is actually a reasonable price and they did an amazing job. My laptop sounds brand new (compared to the weed whacker noises before). They also cleaned my screen which I really appreciated because it’s been a while since I cleaned it.

They were able to flash my video chip on my laptop after trying a few different things that didn’t work. $ 140 for everything was a very good deal.

They got the job done! My actual problem was considered an advanced diagnostic and I had to pay 40 bucks just to diagnose the problem. Problem ended up being a bad hard drive. Anyways they diagnosed it for FREE! Not only did they do that for free but the service was fast and easy. Got my computer back in 3 hours.
I also wanted to upgrade my laptop with a better graphics card. They didn’t force me to buy anything. Instead they gave me advice on little things I could do to improve me computers performance. Will be back here if I need anything.

Much more satisfied with W than I was with my previous computer repair shop. Not only do they offer a free diagnostics exam, but they’re super fast about letting you know exactly what’s wrong with your computer and what they’re going to do to try and fix it. (This location is new so I suspect the free diagnotics exam won’t be free for much longer. You should definitely take advantage of it while you can!)
I recently got my fan replaced on my laptop at a different repair shop and after I got home, it turns out the sound was completely shot. The laptop kept stating it couldn’t read the audio driver at all, even though the audio driver was clearly installed. I googled the problem first and figured it was because of a recent Windows update. I tried everything I read on forums, including removing and reinstalling the driver, but to no avail.
W did an initial exam that took about two hours — it turns out it wasn’t a software problem at all. They said they’d reformat my computer and if that didn’t work, then they’d take out the back and check if it’s a hardware issue. They made sure to tell me that if it was a hardware issue, they’d only charge for the hardware repair and nothing else. I really appreciated that.
I took my laptop in a few days later (since I use it for work) and after two hours, everything was fixed. It turns out it was a hardware issue, after all. I was ready to pull up the email receipt for the $ 20-​for-​$ 50 coupon I bought here on Unilocal,but they said they already factored it in the bill! All I needed to do was pay an additional $ 10. Also, W has a warranty on their services, so if whatever was fixed takes a wrong turn again, they’ll take responsibility for it. Awesome. I’ll be sure to come back for any future repair services I might need.
Note #1: I’ve only ever seen two guys there, so I assume they’re the only ones working there… but they both speak Korean, in case you or someone you know prefers or needs to communicate in Korean. (I’m not Korean but I’ve watched enough K-​dramas to be 99.9% sure about this.)
Note #2: There’s a sign out front that states they repair cell phones (including iPhones), too. Don’t know how well they do it, but if I ever need my iPhone fixed, I’ll be back to update this review.

bonus: when i got back my laptop, it looks really sparkly clean. I think the guy also cleaned the screen + the keyboard.
bonus (2): The guy only took around 15 minutes to get it done!
I would definitely come back again for the reasonable fees charged.

W Computer just opened up down the street maybe a couple months ago and I never really thought to look inside. That is until my laptop abruptly stopped working. I was in a bit of a jam since I was going to fly back to school in a week so I decided to give W Computer a try.
I brought in my laptop and they diagnosed the problem for me in less than a minute after hearing my explanation, which was pretty impressive considering I have a pretty unique laptop (Asus G series).
In a few days I got a call to let me know my laptop was fixed and that one of my broken parts was fixed and I would not have to pay for a replacement. It turns out they actually had to order in one of the parts I was missing since my laptop uses very specialized parts yet they still managed to finish up on time.
All in all I was extremely pleased with my results especially since I paid less than the original estimation they gave me.
