Valley Health Center at Tully

Dr Sara Pinkel is the very best doctor to have following my case more than 9 years. I have multiple medical conditions. She makes sure she referral to specialist is completed. She and I worked on why my health was really starting to decline, I was so sick I did not want to do anything and just stay in bed. Week and severely sick, test came back with liver problems possible which after corn syrup removed I was better. We went over my foods and drinks, conclusion try to avoid corn syrup. I removed corn syrup, and I am back to wanting to do things. Only a few sips of soda to take pills and granola health bars were killing me. Now I have less pain, and my health is improved including losing weight. She sometimes runs late, she deals with patients not ready for the appointment and takes time to get the information to make the right diagnosis! X-​rays are available on site with a short wait, lab techs are good and the wait is also short. Pharmacy is onsite, does take a while within reason for the amount of patients. Medical forms and notes have to go through Medical Records and records will assist in a professional manner and be sure everything is sign. A problem on the side that received the forms occurred, and Francisca was right on top of fixing the problem even when not the clinics fault. The after hours doctors work well with my doctor, and they are very excellent as well. Thank you for keeping we at the best health possible.

I’ve only been here once, but I think the clinic is great. Based on the reviews, I wasn’t expecting much, but I saw Dr. Rao and she was great. The other staff who assisted me seemed patient and helpful.
My only complaint is that I had a 7:30 a.m. appointment, and wasn’t seen until 7:50. However, the nurse did explain when she finally met with me that someone had called in sick, and that was the reason for the delay. It would have been nice to know this sooner, but the doctor was there within a couple minutes of the nurse finishing her work, and I was out by 8:10, with all my concerns addressed.
WAY better than my Kaiser experiences.

This clinic is awesome! I’ve been a patient to with Valley Medical since I was a child. This is a partner agency I work with and the staff here is amazing! I do recommend it to anyone that needs health care. They have a great low income program with families and indviduals.

Pharmacy tech, tall white dude, rude, extra douchey. Told me incorrect information, thank goodness, I actually decided to take it upon myself and wait around to talk with a pharmacist, or else, I would’ve missed out on my medication because of the douche bag. Wasn’t willing to listen to what I had to say and just kept pointing at the screen and kept repeating himself like a broken record. This place really lacks communication skills with their patients in all levels. I normally have my medications mailed home, why? For this exact reason.

Valley Health Center at Tully Road’s staff lacks motivation to speak to patients or assist them in anyway. The Health Center relies on unqualified personnel and an unreliable appointment system that clearly does not work. I hope that I get my appointment sometime this year… wish me luck!

I have mixed feelings about this place. I like it because its something like a one stop shop but it can create an inconvenience. When I have to get paper work filled out for WIC or for school purposes it almost always takes a week. A different department handles everything and some things get lost in translation.
Having everything in one place does have it’s perks: You have a WIC office, a lab where you get your blood drawn and such, a pharmacy, and i think a women’s health center or some type of doctors office that specialize in women problems — all that is on the first floor. Then on the second floor you have a dental center, obgyn and pediatrics.
I’ve been to most of these places.
The WIC office hasn’t ever given me too much trouble, I’ve caught attitude here and there but I probably deserved it — as I dish it out regularly. It’s a clean office, never too crowded.
In Pediatrics my boys have seen 2 different doctors. I can’t remember their names but both were both very pleasant women … one was an Indian lady and another a White lady. The wait times were RIDICULOUS. I remember one time we had an appointment for 1:30 and we weren’t seen until 4pm. They often over book because they think people don’t show up, but a lot of them do. So they get backed up … genius idea huh? But instead of just a sticker, they give out books … THAT was a good idea! My kids love their books.
In the OBGYN department I’ve seen 3 different doctors and have had some good, some bad experiences. The wait times haven’t been too bad so far.
Dr. Hekmati (old, short, indian man) — I DO NOT recommend him. rewind. repeat. I DO NOT recommend him. He does what he thinks is best and doesn’t really care what you want. When you ask him questions about your body or whatever, if he feels that it is a ridiculous question. he will not answer it and just laugh it off to try and make you look stupid.
Dr. Seagler (short, middle aged, white man) — he’s a pretty informative doctor. He’s been there less than a year and he’s always very peppy and informative. He’s willing to answer your questions, he does have a cockiness about him where he thinks he knows everything about the woman’s body but he doesn’t do it in a way where he puts you down. His arrogance gives me confidence because it seems like he knows what he’s doing. Sometimes he doesn’t ask if you have any questions before you leave, so you will have to take the initiative to either ask him back in to the room or ask all the questions u possibly can before he leaves.
Dr. M (young looking woman, maybe early to mid 30s?) — I can’t remember her whole last name but she was VERY understanding and helpful. She talks you through everything and she will answer your questions before you even get to them! It seems like she cares a lot for her patients … I had abnormalities in my cervix and it was a possibility it could’ve been cancer and when she did the test, she said she would call me right away when she got the results back. I didn’t think she would call because I usually got a letters, but she actually called! She’s a very nice, genuine woman who makes you feel at ease — I say she should just take all the patients at this clinic!
At the pharmacy — the drop off line is never too bad but the wait times are almost always 45 mins to 2 hours. I usually just drop it off and come back the next day.
The lab isn’t ever over crowded when I go, usually I’m in and out.
The parking lot is always full but it’s never hard to find a spot, there’s always someone leaving.
This place has its ups and downs. obviously the downs don’t bother me too much because I still come here … at least until I can find something better.
