Worst service ever We walk in and were told were to be seated we asked for tea like 3times and when we got our food and said thank you they didn’t say your welcome and left like really people have a little more customer service skills to serve people and make them feel like u appreciate their service… oh i also ordered a water and 10min later still no water …

I really like TK Noodle, but this location is not the best. This place is smaller than most TK Noodle I been to. Not the best service and the place is not very clean. I only came here because it was close to SJSU, but the TK Noodle back in Sacramento is definitely better :) Also, CASHONLY!

This Cantonese noodle restaurant is near SJSU campus and my living place so that it’s convenient for me to walk there. I grew up in northern China where we eat noodles a lot. So whenever I miss the taste of noodles, this place would come to my mind at first. I had been there for many times, with my roommate, my uncle and my friends. The environment looks clean and the set up is like a typical Chinese restaurant, with ingredients and sauces that you would like to put into your noodle soup to make it more tasty, and with napkins and chopsticks that you can easily access on each table. The only drawback is that the leather couches inside emits a pungent smell that I really hate. Besides, I don’t think the service is bad like many people wrote. Everytime I went there, the manager would lead me to a good seat and then pass me the menu. I don’t know if it’s because I’m Asian that the manage always gave me smile. I don’t know how but he knows that I speak Chinese Mandarin so he always talks to me in Chinese. What gave me the deepest impression was one evening I went there again with my friend as she was never been there. I didn’t know it closes so early at 8, and it was 7:55 when we got there. The restaurant was about to close, but the manager still let us in with a friendly smile. They waited patiently until we both finished though we were the only customers inside at that time. A drawback is that the taste of the noodles declined every time I go, in my mind. Though it’s always cheap like within $ 8 you can get a big bowl of noodle soup. Sometimes the noodles tastes dry and stiff like not cooked for enough length of time, and for noodles tagged $ 6.5 on the menu you get really small amount of meat and vegetables on top, medium amount of noodles, but a large amount of soup. So that it feels like drinking soup, not eating noodles. When I got home, I got hungry immediately again every time. PS: There are still many noodle lovers inclining to this restaurant, I saw my math professor from Hong Kong once inside. Overall, for all of these, I think this restaurant deserves a 3-star.

BADEXPERIENCE! I would never come to this place again. First it was the cockroach just walking around on the floor. There was another customer that saw it too. The employees didn’t even do anything but just acted like«oh well get it. later». –_– The food we ordered was ok and the Thai tea not that good. One thing I really disliked was the fact the price on the menu is not the amount they charge you when you go pay for it! We went during dinner time bte. The Thai ice tea listed was only $ 1.25 and when me and my boyfriend went back to see how much everything was the lady completely charged us a few dollars more than it originally listed in their menu. Instead of 1.25 its actually $ 3 something… It might seem not a lot but it is! Also for the chow fun it showed $ 1. 50 less on the freaking menu! At least put the right price on the menu! –_____-”

I used to love this place but after today’s visit, I’m never coming back. The waitress who took my order took it while talking on the phone. It wasn’t a landline business phone. She was talking to her friends. The waiter talks so loud the I literally can’t hear my mom talking. Also, if you run out of coconut juice, you don’t yell and say OHSHITWEDONTHAVEANYMORE. Never ever EVER coming back.

DISGUSTING. I used to love TK noodles– I’d hear my parents talk about the good old days there when they were students. But honesty this place has turned into a dump for me. First off, the price is ridiculous now for what it is-$ 6.50 a bowl?! No thanks. Second, the servers were so RUDE. We asked 3 times for water, the third time we asked the same server she gave us huge attitude and screamed«OK». She was pregnant so we tried to brush it off as hormones but then I saw her talk to the counter girl– obviously talking crap about us. Pissed off, I went to the counter to ask for water; the counter girl smirked and proceeded to pour FAUCET water in front of me and threw the cups at me. I’ve never been so outraged! Absolutely disgusting! I will never eat at this low class, bug ridden dump again. When I have some time, I’ll give the health department a call to check this nasty place out. I hope they shut it down.

A solid three stars. I grew up on TK noodle. I have zero expectations from TK. I know what I want. I go in, order and get out. There’s a lot of TK’s in the South Bay, each of them very different. This one is probably the smallest. The prices doesn’t go above $ 6. If you’re craving: –beef stew with egg noodle –combination soup with egg noodle –Crispy fried noodle You can’t go wrong. Lol.

The original TK Noodle store. I’ll admit I was dead scared of getting food poisoning here after reading all the reviews, but I have had their food at other chain locations and have yet to find another place that can rival the type of dishes TK Noodles can make. I ordered a bowl of Combination Wonton Rice Stick Soup and a plate of Fried Egg Flour Cake. I have always loved TK’s wontons, but the ones here were a poor representation of what they should look and taste like. The wonton wrappers fell apart in the soup base and were barely coating the pork, and the meat itself was sour like it’s been sitting in the fridge for too long past the expiration date. The chicken and pork slices was overcooked, and the thin noodles were mostly clumped together so I felt like I was biting into thick dough, instead of fine noodles. I couldn’t even finish my bowl. The fried egg flour cake saved a little bit of the day. The ratio of flour: egg was perfect, and this dish I have tried at many other Chinese-Vietnamese restaurants but have yet to find one that matches the seasoning and consistency I have seen at TK Noodle chains. Service was, like other Unilocalers have mentioned, nonexistent. I expected so going in, so I’m not particularly disappointed there. In general, I feel like TK Noodle chains are either a hit or miss, dependent on the chef and management at the particular location. It’s unfortunate that this original storefront missed the mark on so many things. There is free 1-hour street parking in front of the eatery.

Wow! Came here for lunch and saw the lady cleaning tables and she took a dirty used napkin and wiped the inside of the chili container then placed it back like nothing! If they do that in front of customers, imagine what is going on in the back.

This isn’t the best food, but for a quick bite of fast Asian food in downtown it’s okay. They have various locations and they all look the same for the most part. They are all a bit grimy with some rude service but you are not coming here for a classy experience.

Anyone reading this review, please do not go here. You will probably end up getting sick. We just witnessed the cook in the back dropping a meatball(bo vien) on the floor and instead of tossing it in the trash, what your suppose to do, he threw it back in the bowl. Unbelievable! We walked out right away since it made me sick to my stomach. I can’t believe that someone would do such a thing.

I love it here but my last visit last week on Monday wasn’t that great. I order the usual #24, but after i was done waiting for my fiancé to finish his soup. I looked over to to the wall were all the pearl teas are made and guess what i see, a HUGECOCKROACH climbing up the wall. I tried to be nice and tell the lady there and all she did was say«ohhh really how big was it small or big». I was like it was big and she said«ohhhhhhh okay». I was like what the fuck ummm okay? Great prices, good menu with lots of options. BF and his friends grew up loving this chain and we finally got a chance to stop by today for lunch– went with the #13 and the #29, duck curry noodle soup and the taro egg flour cake respectively. First impression was not positive– we walked in and ¾ths of the tables had not been cleared, but the patrons had left. Apparently they were busy before, but someone was way behind in bussing tables. By the time we left it was done though. Food was slow to come out, as I’d been warned to expect. But when we got it, I was pleasantly surprised– I’ve started to expect that when I go to BF’s long time fave places, a lot have gone downhill since he’s been there last. This one did not have that problem! Duck curry noodle soup was mild but a large portion, good price. Duck was very fatty, plenty of noodles, and the broth was initially bland and flat– until I noticed the cup of seasonings and lemon, which really made the broth come to live and perk up. The citrus absolutely changes the flavor for the better. Egg cake was tasty– thought the taro sounded unusual but it really works well in this dish, and the crunchy bits mixed with the beans and the cilantro and onion really made this simple dish work really well. Both dishes were good and comforting.

There are about half a dozen TK noodles around San Jose, but this one is the original. I eaten here throughout the years as a kid, very frequently as an undergrad, and I still eat here as a grad student at SJSU. Even my father ate here back in the day when he lived off of Reed! haha NOTHINGS changed about the décor lol. TK Noodle’s no frills goal is to get you in and out with a warm meal for a couple bucks(nothing is over $ 7-$ 8) I think this location is cleaner then the Santa Clara one. I also noticed that portions here are bigger. I usually get the beef stew(Mi Bo Kho) and the broth here is thicker and they are more generous with the meats/tendons. Don’t expect any super friendly service, just the typical asian«ORDERANDEAT» method. 5 stars is generous. It’s cheap, filling, and full of nostaglia for me. And hell, it’s been super cold. so it’s noodle soup season!

Food is good and cheap. Although keep in mind that the workers/owners here speak minimal English. Went here twice and each time there was some confusion. The first time I had to repeat that I ordered a milk tea 3 – 4 times after I was brought a coffee, which I didn’t order. Second time, my husband’s order was completely forgotten and we had to ask someone what was going on, which at that point they quickly made his order. I would go here again, because despite the language barrier, the food is cheap and good.

Ugh, this place definitely fell off the map. It USED to be good. I came back to this place after a few years for lunch with my mom and BOY was I DISGUSTED. There were FLIESEVERYWHERE! I couldn’t even eat because I was so busy shooing all the flies away. I need to emphasize that there were SO many FREAKINGFLIES, if either my mom or I looked away from the food for ONESECOND one of them would have landed on either our utensils, drinks, or food. DSFGBVDJFTDGhdnb;kj GAHH I HATEFLIESWITH A FUCKINGPASSION!!. Soooo. fucking GROSS for this place. Service is shit. just like how it is at any other TK so I really can’t complain. It’s like expected of TK to have bad service. RUDE old people barking at every little thing who can barely understand/speak English. It’s whatever. this doesn’t bother me at all. the flies just dominate all annoyances. I can’t even finish writing a decent review for this place because I keep thinking about all the nasty, disgusting, fucking flies. I’m sorry, but with such a problem like that, the food, service, parking, price doesn’t even matter.
