Tim S.

Business Owner

Tim Sherer has been in the financial services industry since 1970, providing knowledgeable service and advice to his clients. He received his bachelor’s degree in business from Ohio University, graduating with Honors (Cum Laude), and his MBA from Santa Clara University. Continuing his career-​related education, he has earned the professional designations of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Tim is CEO of The Sherer Group, LLC and Branch manager of J.P. Turner & Company. LLC. Tim was also founder and CEO of an internet start-​up, Extracents, Inc.

Tim is the past President of the Silicon Valley Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He also has achieved membership status in the Honor Roll of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), an international consortium of the top 5% of the world’s insurance producers and financial planners with only 5% of these attaining Honor Roll ranking.
