I just found this salon a few months ago and was a little worried about having students cut and color my hair. The owner is very hands on and Monica B. has now cut and colored my hair three times. She has done a fantastic job, I have beautiful purple highlights framing my face, the cut is short and feminine and she knows how to properly use a razor to avoid that weird frizzy thing that razors can do. Today I also scheduled a make up application, Monica B did an amazing job with a natural, slightly dramatic approach. My eyebrows were perfection!

Both my girls had their hair colored (the same day, one after the other) by Nicole and I can’t even start to describe how pleased we all are with the results and the whole process.
They both wanted ombré — one did pink and one blue. It came out amazing and they had such a great experience working with Nicole. It took many hours of bleaching, coloring, washing, conditioning, blow drying and so on, and Nicole was extremely thorough all the way and super nice and patient with both my daughters. They are so happy with their new hair and they are absolutely in love with Nicole.
We basically spent the whole day in the salon and the staff was welcoming, helping and nice.
The price we ended up being was very affordable for this kind of service. Probably a lot less than what we would have paid in any other salon for same service.
If I could give more than five stars for our experience, I would.
We highly recommended the place and specifically Nicole who is not only super talented but also has a great personality.

I’ve been coming here for about a year now, and I could honesty say I’ve never leave disappointed. Let’s just start by saying that it’s really hard for me to trust anyone, especially anyone touching my hair! So, coming here was a big step for me. I always heard great things about the staff, the students, and the program in general that I just wanted to give it a try. In the times that I’ve been here I’ve been seeing by three different, talented stylist. Jackie U, Brit J, and Jasmine D. They’ve all helped me with Ombré, and they all seriously have their own unique way of working, and I’ve fallen in love with their blending techniques. I have lots of thick hair, and they have so much patient to deal with it. They are so professional, and explain everything, and make sure you are 110% satisfied. The compliments ever stop, I introduce the salon to my best friend, and my mom and they could say the same thing, always walk out happy. So, thank you so much TSPA; for everything, can’t wait to be back.

Got the best haircut today as usual from Rebecca. Sometimes I get a cut and dye and I always get comments on how good it looks. One time we did a pinwheel dye job, that was cool. Thanks for great haircut Rebecca.

Went in for a pinwheel treatment by Annie Belle! It came out absolutely amazing! She made the whole process fun! I have incredibly stubborn hair but Annie made it look fabulous! My hair is very dense and thick so it’s quite heavy she lightened my hair and it’s manageable now! Everyone at the salon liked my hair! I’ve already gotten complaints for my hair and I’m incredibly happy with the results! Annie is the best!

Courtney Morgan did the best job on my hair. She truly has natural talent. I came in and had never had my hair professionally done before. I had tons of box dye in it from high school and my hair had always been one color so I decided to switch it up and try a Bayalage. Courtney was awesome in the techniques she used to make the hair have tons of texture and make everything blend well with no harsh lines. She bleached it and then toned it as I told her I didn’t want my hair turning brassy and it ended up perfectly. I wanted to go lighter so I am going to come back in and have her finish up my hair to get it to my desired color! Definitely a ¹⁰⁄₁₀. She explained every step of the process so I wouldn’t have any surprises or be clueless during my appointment! Thanks Courtney:)

The services are not for the faint of heart, especially if you are expecting professional service. I’ve been to tspa for waxing services several times and come out happy. But for a hair cut… Not so much. I was eager to get a haircut but lesson leaned I should have waited or been a little pickier with the hairstylist. Of course these people are students so I shouldn’t have expected perfection but the haircut I got was more than bad. I’ve cut my own hair before and definitely done better without being taught. I was hoping since the student had more knowledge than I, it would have come out better:(before deciding. To book an appointment make sure you either know someone or aren’t expecting to much because it is definitely hit or miss:/

My wife Sophia came here today to see Annie Belle to get her hair fixed. She was so sad that her hair was in a horrible condition. Her being 6 months pregnant was very traumatizing for her. Annie belle jumped right in to save the day and fix her! My wife looks and feels so much better! Thank you so much for making her day Annie you have a true talent! I have to say I’m going to be getting my hair done by her as well and will be sending future business to the academy ! Miss V you have done an amazing job teaching your students and I thank you for putting a smile to my worried wife’s face I thank you so much! You made her day! I can’t stop staring at her!

Been there several times they always do a great job for me on the color. Price is very low compare to any salon.

Two years ago, I purchased a Groupon. For a very low price, I got a decent facial. I agreed to purchase a package of multiple facials.
About a year and a half ago, I tried to book a facial and learned that the wait was in excess of three months. They really don’t keep a wait list, so if you purchase in bulk, you either have to book months and months in advance or you’re out of luck.
I didn’t care for the high-​pressure sales approach of adding 15, 20, and $ 30 products to a facial I already paid for. During my second facial I said no to add-​ons and apparently the woman doing my facial did it anyway so I had to refuse payment when I left. I thought that was highly unprofessional.
Their customer service leaves something to be desired as well. You are better off sticking with Groupon or LivingSocial and purchasing packages there. It will be easier to schedule and you will get higher quality facials.

I would recommend coming here for haircuts and special occasion hairstyles, but not much else. I asked for my black hair to be dyed a pastel color, and was told that pastel colors were «impossible» for hair as dark as mine. Not only was this incredibly discouraging to hear at the time, but later research proved it was a lie. I’ve seen several online beauty bloggers achieve pastel colors on dark hair. After I settled for a dark blue, TSPA proceeded to tell me that the cost would be roughly $ 85, because dark blue was a «fashion color». I had expected $ 50, as this is what was written on their paper menu. Nowhere on the menu is there mention of an extra fee for «fashion colors». In the end I left, unwilling to pay so much for a color I hadn’t come for.
Either TSPA needs to be more explicit in describing the limitations of their services on their website and their paper menus, or they need to learn how to be more creative with their colors.

This was the worst experience of my life. They are so unorganized and unprofessional. I had my appointment at 2 and I didn’t get in till 2:45! The lady doing my hair didn’t even introduce her self to me and constantly was messing up. She had to get the person in charge to help her. By the time they were done with my hair I waited 20 mins to get started on my make up! The lady doing my makeup was shit. She had to get someone else to do my eye shadow and it wasn’t blending. My face makeup was literally orange and there was nothing I could do about it because I was running late cuz I was waiting so long! I honesty started to cry. My boyfriend told me I looked like I was from jersey shore. I could have done WAY better my self. Worst experience of my life.

I want to thank Sara for taking care of my daughter hair she was so great and friendly and very professional. The people her were also very nice and very down to earth my gf and my daughter will be back here again

I have to say this place is very professional and clean! When it comes to getting a good deal and getting quality service this is the place to go! I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Katherine C. She did such a wonderful job turning my hair from damaged and shapeless to healthy and trendy. I love my hair now and I will definitely be back to keep my new style up! Thank you Katherine!

Yesterday I had the most amazing hair experience with my favorite stylist Katherine! Ive been there a couple times now and every time she makes my hair look very beautiful. A lot of salons Ive been to are not as careful about what products they are using or how they cut your hair. Katherine is wonderful because she pays close attention to detail and makes sure that when hair coloring is involved your hair wont be damaged. And she will do the exact cut you’re looking for, and wont cut it more than you’re comfortable with. This visit I went from my brown hair with highlights to a beautiful ombré! She made my roots blend with the rest of the hair. Blended it into a caramel color then to blonde. I absolutely love it and wont be going to anyone else for getting my hair done! Thank you again Katherine you did another wonderful job! :)

I’ve been a long-​time supporter of giving my business to cosmetology schools, so I’ve frequented my fair share of schools over the past number of years. I decided to give this location a chance after moving, and following that I figured that I shouldn’t make a decision based on just the first visit alone.
I shouldn’t have given them another chance. I went in with the simple request to have (1) my bangs trimmed, and (2) a TINY trim. The student that worked on me constantly spoke down at me, as though I didn’t know what I was talking about, both in terms of how my hair works (my bangs require a bit of work to maintain which factor into how to it should be cut), and how I’ve been advised in the past to care for my hair overall; not very welcoming.
My bangs were only saved by my incessant comments made to ensure she didn’t screw them up (as she was clearly close to doing), but unfortunately this led me to overlook my «trim». At the very most, we had agreed upon a quarter of an inch (I’m trying to grow out my hair), after she took care of that and then blew dry my locks — she grabbed her scissors making it look like she was just snipping missed ends — but proceeded to cut off more from my overall length!!! After I called her out on it, she again tried to «correct» me by telling me that she was «taking off volume»; my hair is already thin — how does that make sense!!!
No instructor checked-​in with me to appraise my cut (it was no longer a trim) nor to verify that this was in fact what I had wanted. Needless to say I won’t be returning here. I regularly suggest friends and co-​workers to shop around at cosmetology schools, but now I will be sure to warn them against this establishment.

I came in today to get a balayage. Courtney Morgan worked on me and she did an amazing job!!! I love my hair so much! She was really sweet and made sure I was comfortable. She took her time & it ended up looking amazing! Highly recommend making an appointment with her!

I’ve debated for quite a while about putting up my experience here. But after noticing that my hair has yet to grow more than an inch since the 3 – 4 months since I’ve been there… well I think something needs to be said. As background, please note that my visit was a late birthday present and that my mother, my sis in law, and best friend are all licensed cosmetologists. I’ve even taken classes on hair and makeup and skincare just to educate myself. But everything that happened was just disastrous.
First of all, I knew I wanted a light purple hair colour and a full light bleach. I paid an extra $ 50 for Pravana dye. They stuck me with a girl who had never dyed her hair… EVER. So after chatting with everyone else around her, I told her about my hair and what she might have to do. She ended up asking three other girls to help her and I had a total of four young girls yanking at my hair. My hair had been previously bleached and only needed a light touch-​up at the roots but NOOOOO. She insisted on using 40 volume bleach (highest available) on my already bleached hair. Then another bleach wash with the same.
Then the teacher (Coco) told the girls not to use only pravana but chromatics as well… and give me an ombré that I didn’t ask for. After they were done brushing my WET DAMAGED hair– which you can’t ever do– they started off with the ombré… that didn’t stick. It all came out after rinsing. Then after having a meltdown, the students went to the teacher and asked for advice. They used a full two tubes of chromatics purple on my hair… that turned my hair in to a silver, green, purple, brown mess.
I ended up going home and slathering my hair in Olaplex trying to add some proteins back in to my poor hair. I went back for a free redo and they tried the chromatics again… which didn’t stick. They then took the pravana to my hair and that finally stuck. I should have spoken up and told them that Pravana is pure pigment and will stain the hair… which is what they should have done the first time instead of the ombré crap. After a brush was dragged through my wet hair and the it was dried on the highest setting, the student who was originally doing my hair said she’d have to start cutting because of the damage. I gave her a limit of an inch and a half.
SHE GAVE ME AN UNEVEN A FRAME AND TOOK OFF FOUR INCHES.
So… my hair is now finally somewhat softer and brown, stained with henna to avoid more damage these girls inflicted. But my hair refuses to grow right now and I have to get to a doctor to see what can be done. Overall… this was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had with my hair. I should have stayed home and kept my $ 150.

I’m so happy with the amount of purple in my life right now! Although it took 3 sessions, it’s definitely a process especially with the manic panic (semi-​permanent veggie dyes) history. When I came in, I knew it would take much longer getting things done here than at a regular salon mainly because everyone here is a student still learning and needs to be signed off before proceeding. On the bright side, some costs are less than what you would be paying compared to normal salons!
I am excited to see how it will fade out, beauty really is patience. Thanks to April Saia, Ms. V, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Coco, and the rest of her staff… they have helped with color corrections, bleaching sessions (with minimal/​no breakage), color application, and bringing health back into each strand. At TSPA, they really care about the integrity of your hair and really do their best to satisfy their clients!
I read a review who portrayed Ms. V as this awful person. I don’t usually write reviews for a specific person, but I feel I must. Ms. V may initially come off as «rude» or blunt, but she only means well and wants to provide realistic goals (no false hopes) for her students and their clients. She really is an amazing teacher, with not only a chemistry background but a vision-​one can only take it or leave it. On the last session, she really hooked me up for the amount of stuff they did. She even allowed us to stay past closing to finish blow drying, hair curling, and taking pictures of the end product. This all goes to show she isn’t a completely unreasonable person.
I am so impressed with everyone’s dedication, passion, and professionalism here. I highly recommend if you ever want anything done to your hair, please stop by here and ask for April Saia! You will not leave disappointed (unless you are a high maintenance client who has a ridiculous amount of expectation). Sometimes you just have to take risks and be open-​minded in order to achieve greatness and leave room for inspiring change.

Came here last week to dye my hair. My hair was dark brown and I wanted an Aubergine color. The stylist that was working with me had a hard time figuring out how to color my hair. The process took a lot longer than I was hoping for (about 4 hours!). They also charged me for ombré (didn’t ask for it) and full color. My hair came out a brighter red/​pink than what I originally asked for. However, despite all that I like how it came out and have gotten many compliments on it!
