There is someone on your side who can help guide you through the tangled morass called the criminal justice system. I know the law, and more importantly, I know the system. Prior to becoming a San Jose Domestic Violence Defense Attorney, I served in the United States Marine Corps. There I learned the dedication and strong work ethic that has served me well in my legal career. I have extensive criminal law experience; first in the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office and for the past 20 years as a criminal defense attorney.

Established in 1995.

I started out working at the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office. Opening my law practice in 1995, I have extensive experience with over 30 jury trials. Located in the heart of downtown San Jose, my office is easily accessible to all Bay Area clients.

Out of a deck of cards, Ed was the chosen one. My bf and I were in need of an attorney fast… after meeting with a few local attorneys, my bf felt comfortable with Ed. Unlike many other attorneys, Ed paid more attention to the case/​issue rather than making $ from a person in need. Not to say that it was free but Ed made my bf feel secure as he work with a payment plan & assuring HE COULD WIN THE CASE which HE DID! Ed does his homework right, he’s straight forward and provides realistic feedback.

I recently helped a friend find a criminal defense attorney to help with a case that was actually a mixup at the courthouse. Ed was the only attorney I spoke with that made us feel like normal people. My friend hired Ed and immediately felt at ease.
Ed did everything quickly and efficiently, saving us time and money. He did the fighting and all the work. There were no issues through the entire process. It was smooth and painless.
Ed is awesome. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs an attorney!

I would highly recommend using another attorney. My experience with Ed was horrible. First he did not listen to my story and then attempted to keep the retainer fee after not doing any work. I took him to a Fee Arbitration Board hearing and the attorney agreed that the retainer should be returned as he did not do any work for me. He was actually allotted $ 500 for the minimal time he did spend. Now, get this, instead of returning the money, he filed a small claims suit against me to try to keep retainer the arbitration board agreed was not rightly his. The judge once again agreed that he did not do any work, it took 8 months but he finally returned the money.
