The Hill Method

I had breast augmentation three years ago and last year I noticed a hardening of one of the implants. I went to the Dr. who did the surgery and he said there isn’t much you can do. He put me on Singulair (Asthma medicine) to try and break down the scar tissue but it didn’t work. I was at stage two of capsular contracture and it was becoming noticeable. I was very disappointed and spoke to Derek about it during one of my sessions to help with some hip pain which was going on for 6 months, which by the way, he relieved all the pain after three sessions.
Derek said he could help me with the capsular contracture. My husband was skeptical, to say the least. I am so thrilled to say that after 3 sessions (2 30 minute and 1 60 minute) that the capsular contracture is completely gone. He is extremely professional, knowledgable and very results oriented. I highly recommend Derek!!!

Derek is awesome and the techniques he uses are one of a kind. I won’t lie, it’s not exactly comfortable because it’s not that kind of massage that doesn’t do much. It’s a therapeutic massage that actually helps problems for pain. I’ve had a far share of massages to help my neck/​shoulder problems calling themselves «therapeutic» which don’t help at all. However, if it really is too uncomfortable during your appointment, Derek is attentive to how you feel and will step back in making sure you’re ok.
My father initially had a bad hip problem which the chiropractor and accupunturist could not help. It lasted for months and affected him when he sat down at work. The hip problem went away for my dad in 2 visits!
It took me a lot of treatments to see long term effects, but I’m sure it varies from person to person. I also have seen a chiropractor and acupuncturist which didn’t help much. For me it took awhile because I had a lot of scar tissue from a car accident 3 years ago that built up. Being in the dental field doesn’t exactly help my neck and shoulders, so I now see him once a month for touch ups.
My mom was also in the same car accident as me and couldn’t get rid of tightness/​pain in her neck. Derek also helped her a lot.
My boyfriend recently saw him and unfortunately the treatment didn’t help much, but their could be other underlying problems going on. But a definitely 3 out of 4 people with huge improvements is still pretty great!
Derek is an awesome healer. I’ve had numerous appointments with him so I have gotten to know him through our conversations and he’s also a super cool guy too. I would definitely refer anyone over to him who has pain with their muscles and tissues.

Wow. I don’t know where to start. I moved here from Colorado with a back injury from 1985. I was referred to Derek Hill and Dr. Marilyn Moss at The Core Clinic. It was the best therapy treatment and swedish massage to follow by Derek and Cranial Chiropractic from Dr. Moss. Life gets busy and I dropped off schedule to let my work life get crazy until I fell down a flight of stairs in June. Instead of calling Derek to start with, I thought my leg would heal. It impacted my previous back injury and I landed on my left leg. Two weeks ago, my toes on my left leg were numb. My regular doctor could not see me but Derek worked to see me first thing in the morning, I called late Friday evening. He worked an hour and a half on my leg and it hurt like crazy, then I saw Dr. Moss and she did what she does best, I wish I could articulate it more, but she truly works with you to know how my body moves and where the treatment needs to happen. I have seen them both for more treatments and my leg has not felt this good since the fall in June. It is now the last day of August. I can move, the numbness in my toes is gone and I will continue to see Derek and Dr. Moss each week until the healing is complete. I could not ask for better treatment. And true care. Derek and Dr. Moss take healing to the next level, above and beyond other doctors I have seen. Thank you Derek and Dr. Moss!

so i just started my pilates class and i LOVE teresa, she’s sooo sweet. even though there’s a class about 10 people she focuses on everyone and is extremely helpful!
i took the balanced& flexible pilates class and i felt the burn. and it felt good!..
i recently have been cheating on the core clinic and been taking classes at the milpitas sports center because i’m a student and therefore i’m BROKE. but i just wish i had more money to go to the core clinc.

The Core Clinic is the best place in the bay area for anyone who wants to feel like themselves again! I have seen multiple practitioners here and have always received the best possible care. I found this place through a friend who swore by Derek’s therapeutic massage and boy was she right. I went in with excruciating pain in my neck and within one treatment I felt like a new person. I then explored their other services and found Dr. Moss, who is the best chiropractor I have ever seen. She is kind and gentle with extensive knowledge of hormone balancing which is great. I worked with her to alleviate my back pain when she suggested I work in conjunction with Teresa the pilates teacher. In my first personal session with Teresa she not only explained why I was having back problems but what I should be doing to help my back. She gave me stretches and certain moves to strengthen my back and lessen the pain. Within 2 weeks I felt almost no pain!!! Now if I get myself into trouble I see Dr. Moss or Derek and call Teresa to tweak my stretching routine. I feel blessed to have found these incredible experts and recommend them to all my friends and family!!!

I tried Core Clinic on a last minute hunt for my ever nagging neck and shoulder pain. I had an hour session with Derek and it worked wonders and for the first time in I can’t even remember I could actually turn my head and have full use of it neck motion. I have tried many things, acupuncture, accupressure, massage, etc and it has not done what Derek was able to do. I highly recommend him and will continue to use him to relieve the pain.

Derek is a consummate massage therapist. I sustained an ankle injury in Tahoe and a neck and back injury in a car accident. Derek was able to get me up and moving on my ankle right away and he helped my neck and back injury quite a bit as well. Derek definitely knows his stuff.
