Tanya’s Learning Garden is a small family child care specializing in part time care for children ages 2 – 5 years old. Our activities include story times, art, field trips, and preschool skills. The outdoor environment has a large patio area, lawn, trike path, and separate fenced playground. Outdoor activities include trikes, sand table, water table, art and sensory play, garden and nature activities.

Established in 1989.

Award from the City of San Jose for Outstanding Contributor, Honoring Professionals in Child Care. Current in CPR & First Aid and Child Development Permit from State of California.

Meet the Business Owner

Tanya W.

Business Owner

I was born and raised in San Jose. My husband and I married in 1977 and have two grown sons. I am a member of many early childhood organizations including NAEYC, CAEYC and NAFCC. I lead the Child Care Network, a local group of family child care providers. My high quality of work has been acknowledged by Choices For Children with a Gold Seal Award and the City of San Jose for Outstanding Contributions in the Field of Child Care. I hold a certificate from DeAnza College for Specialization in Home-​Based Child Care and have my Child Development Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

I offer a play-​based learning program with an emphasis on the outdoor environment. My inspiration is continually renewed through child development classes, workshops, conferences and the joys of having children in our home.
