I had taken my 1981 Corvette to another Smog Test-​only station and it failed because the timing was advanced to much. I brought the vette here and they adjusted the timing for $ 45. Only had the car for an hour. I highly recommend this place.

I agree that T&S is one of the best kept secrets in San Jose. Affordable quality service! I take all my cars there as well as my family’s just because I know they can be trusted! Very rare to find quality like this nowadays, not to mention lower prices than anyone else! I’ve had great experiences with brake/​transmission services and regular tune up and fluid change services.

T&S is the best kept secret in San José. The boys know their craft and are good at it. Plus extremely affordable. They also have cute cats that hang out with them when they work!

I was next door and left my friend in the truck with the radio/​ignition on and for close to one hour. So when it was time to leave, i tried to start it and it would’nt turn over — the battery was almost drained. So i walked next door to T&S and asked them if they can give me a jump and they had some cool battery on a dolley rig and wheeled it next door and after a little bit my truck started — it only costed 10 bucks but if i was to use my towing service thru my insurance it would’ve tooken them maybe an hour more or less to get to me. I got all this done in less than 5 minutes and i was back on the road. Thanks to T&S for the service.

My experience with T & S Auto Service was great. My brakes were squeaking for the past week, after the rain had started. It was pretty bad, because it was squeaking even when I wasn’t braking. I took my car in on a Saturday morning, and it was done within a few hours with fair pricing. This is a 15 year old car, so I didn’t want to spend too much on anything for it anymore, so I was pretty satisfied I didn’t have to spend too much.

got my 1984 caprice smog certified for a little under $ 500. it included adjusting the carburetor and installing a new catalytic converter which in my case was faulty due to bad emission setup. didnt get any help through the BARS program cause registration wasnt under my name yet so i had to come out of pocket for this bad boy. communication? average. some employees were more serious than others but the one who helped me out did his best to explain the repairs needed and when my car would be ready. think his name was Kevin or Henry. im bad wit names but anyways thx T&S for even taking in a car as old as this was. see ya

Good luck getting someone one the phone who speaks English. Wow!
Called 4 times to request quote and/​or make appointment to service my car. Each time I’m told «call back in 5 minutes» so I can speak to someone who speaks English. Each time, the same gal answers.
Sheesh!

I’ve recently had another visit to this shop, it’s close to home and despite my previous review, the convenience was a big factor. The repair was quick, I did a double-​check of everything and I couldn’t find any ‘new’ problems. Everything seems to be working fine. Thanks guys!
I guess everyone can have an off day, so I wanted to give another, better, review of the shop.
Back-​story: I had brought the vehicle in as I was having a problem with the ignition switch. I didn’t notice till about a week later that now the horn didn’t work. A minor problem to be sure and not a function I use all the time, except when trying to keep some lane-​changing, signal-​less idiot from hitting me. When I mentioned the previous horn problem and the fact a hose clamp was loose on the radiator from the previous visit, the owner was very apologetic, fixed the horn and gave me a discount on this follow-​up visit.
