Steven Crane, DDS

My entire family goes to Dr. Crane. He is good with adults AND children. He has two offices, so if San Jose isn’t convenient he also has an office in Fremont (which is open Saturdays). He is super patient with my kids, and my son loves going to the dentist now. The staff is great too, always accommodating and friendly.

Be sure to keep your insurance statements and check against the bill that comes in from his office. I’ve been billed several times for routine cleanings that are fully covered by my insurance company and charged for services that were never performed.

I have been going to Dr. Crane since I was a kid. I have been lucky enough to have different insurances that his practice accepts. This leads me to believe he takes a wide range. He is awesome. I didn’t go to the dentist for about two years, yet even going back after that time period he remembered me. Every time I go, he is genuinely interested in what is going on with you. His assistance are the same way. Just a really good dentist professionally as well. When I started going there, his father was the primary dentist, Steven took over. He has 8 am appointments, so you can go before work. My husband started going to him as well. He recommended an orthodontist for my husband to go to for invisiline, who is very good as well. I highly recommend him!

I needed to find a new dentist in San Jose because my mom insist I didn’t go to our family dentist because «40 minutes is just too far to drive». So I decided to go to Steven Crane and even though there was only one other review on Unilocal.But it was a good one, thanks Rita L.
This dentist office isn’t fancy with personal tvs or massage chairs but it’s okay. Because what if I needed a service my insurance didn’t cover and suddenly my bill sky rockets because of all those added expenses?
Dr. Crane didn’t tell me anything was wrong with me, and I kept pushing questions about my wisdom teeth so he referred me to an oral surgeon. He didn’t want to answer any questions he wasn’t specialized in, so that is a good sign.
He did show me a new way of flossing, I still have to check it out, but it seemed like it would work great. He did stress on how sonic care toothbrushes are amazing. I know I know, I really need one according to everyone else I know that has one.
He is a nice and friendly dentist. I approve! I’ll be seeing him in 6 months for my cleaning.

Dr. Crane is amazing!
Very patient and super sweet. He tells you like it is. He doesn’t recommed stupid stuff you don’t need. However, like everyone he does inform you about, teeth whitning, fancy toothbrushes and other odds and ends. He taught me new ways of flossing with string attached to floss. Really cool guy. His staff are wonderful.
Clean and calm waiting room. Quick in and out. Very clear about what insurance will and won’t cover etc.
I recommed this dentist. A+++
