Our dental office specializes in family and cosmetic dentistry. We offer a wide range of dental services, both preventative and restorative services, at affordable fees.

History

Established in 1978.

Dr. Robert Yoneda has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. First starting a family dental practice in San Jose in 1975, he has since moved on to providing the highest quality cosmetic dentistry, which he delivers in a relaxed and gentle manner. A San Jose native, he graduated from Piedmont Hills High School and received his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and a dental degree from UC San Francisco. Dr. Yoneda is a member of the CDA, ADA and Santa Clara County Dental Society.

Dr. Cory A Timbers graduated from dental school in 2011. He was born in Boston, and was raised in Oakland. He attended a prestigious liberal arts college, Pitzer College, in Southern California receiving his bachelor’s degree in Human Biology in 2005. Spending a few years as an Assistant Manager in retail after his graduation, he then prepared to enroll in dental school. He received his DDS from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Timbers is married to Eriko and has a son named Owen.

Everyone here was super friendly and helpful as I came here today for a check up. Its been a long time since i went to the dentist so i was expecting to get scolled for neglecting my teeth. But instead i got words of encouragement and praise for finally coming in to take care of my health. I know its going to be a long journey to get my mouth back to how it should be but I feel at ease knowing i will be in good hands.

Dr Yoneda had been my dentist since I was 3 or 4! I’m 26 now and I’ve wondered here and there to other dentists over the years but I always end up coming back he’s absolutely amazing! Very experienced!!! Highly recommended!!!

I’ve been Dr. Yoneda’s patient for 40 years. He and his staff are friendly and very professional. Dr. Timbers is great as well. I started going there before my sons were born and now my oldest is 38. This is the only dentist they’ve ever seen. They now live in Manteca and I’m in Monterey but we are still patients.

Smiles of San Jose has been my choice for Dentistry for as long as I can remember. Dr. Yoneda is great, very experienced and professional. And Dr. Timbers, who became my dentist a few years ago, is enthusiastic and very good at what he does. I got my teeth straightened here and it was hassle-​free and very easy!
The office is VERY clean and everyone is extremely friendly. They all know my name which makes the entire experience very personal.
I highly recommend Smiles of San Jose to anyone looking for a great dentist experience!

I thought places like these don’t exist. For once I don’t dread going to a doctor’s or dentist office. The front desk, assistants, to the dentist himself, they’re all so wonderful! I love how you can book online, paperwork is so painless. Go in and the waiting time isn’t ridiculous. These people really care about your needs, they make sure you are comfortable during the whole appointment, and the overall procedures are very efficient. If you have any questions or concerns about your insurance coverage, they can answer it all with a smile. I found my new favorite dentist place, definitely getting my family to switch over here!

I went in for 2 fillings (i know i know) and I don’t think it could have gone any better. I really don’t enjoy going to the dentist and i was pretty comfortable. I was greeted by the front desk upon arrival and was asked if I wanted nitrous for my procedure. The staff is always so friendly! Dr. Yoneda worked on me today and talked me through every step. I am very satisfied with my visit! Dr. Timbers is also a very excellent dentist! Overall, I really enjoy coming to this practice because the entire staff makes me feel welcome and comfortable. I definitely trust them with my teeth :)

Hate the dentist? Me too. Until I found this place at least. Shots that used to feel like daggers feel more like feathers at this place.
At this practice you will probably the best pair of dentists that you can trust the health of your teeth with, hands down. So good in fact, and I kid you not, I travel up to the bay area from Orange County just for appointments. After every examination I am never pressured into performing any procedures that I am uncomfortable doing and I always feel like the advice I am given is straight forward. In the past I have been to dentists that recommend fillings almost randomly and as soon as I walk out the door the darn thing just pops out.
Definitely come here if you want straight answers and realistic solutions to any dental issues, whether it be health related or cosmetic.

We are relatively new to the area and thrilled we found Dr. Cory to take care of our teeth. The staff are really family friendly. Going to the dentist may not be the most fun in your day, but Dr. Cory does great and honest work.
The staff even played with our daughters during our most recent visit when both of us had work done at the same time. Awesome!

Like many other people, (even though they might not admit it) it had been years since I went to the dentist. I always hated going when I was young and just avoided it when I became an adult. Normal dental anxiety :(
Anyways, my friend recommended this place and decided I needed to finally go. They’re all so friendly and I’ve had both Dr. Bob and Dr. Cory and they were so nice and I was in and out pretty quick!
I also love that they’re open one Saturday morning a month (double check with them) but it’s SO helpful!

Recently starting coming to this dentistry after many years of not doing to the dentist; and I must say Dr. Yoneda and Dr. Timbers are great! I had a bunch of cavities that needed filling and a root canal on one tooth. They did an excellent job of getting me back on track with taking care of my teeth.
Everyone there has a great friendly attitude and the work they do is top notch. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a great dentist to come here!

Recently been coming here for the past year after not having gone to a dentist for years after high school or so. That have been over 5years ago. Last Jan 2012, I had an emergency and needed a root canal gone asap. The office of Dr. Yoneda and Dr. Timbers let me in since my mother comes here. I got that fixed in segments because I got really scared.
My dental insurance, too, doesn’t cover everything but it covers a good amount. I absolutely love the works of the receptionists, dental assistants, and Dr. Yoneda and Dr. Timbers over here. They all do a wonderful job at their careers and comforting you when you’re scared/​nervous (like me all the time). I love all their personalities. (:
Oh yea, not to mention they’re best at convincing you to pull through a certain procedure. It worked on me 99% of the time whenever I’m there. :P
