Carrie has been my go to esthetician for over 5 years! She does my brazilians, massage and facials, and any other waxes I feel like I need. She is sweetest person I’ve ever met. She makes you feel totally comfortable and always talks to you to distract you from the sting of the wax being pulled off. Her place is always clean and smells so good. She also gives the best massages and the price is totally work it. I’ll never go to anyone else every again. She’s also very informative. If you have any questions about skin or essential oils she’s the one to ask.

I’ve got «Lavender Fields» package today, and this was really awesome! Carrie is an absolutely great master, and the place is really nice.

I received the Lavender Fields package from my daughter as a birthday gift. Upon entering the spa I felt instantly welcomed and relaxed. Carrie went over everything she was going to do, including the machines and their various noises, and then led me to the massage room. The rooms ambiance was warm and inviting. After giving me time to undress and get under the sheet, atop the warm bed, Carrie placed a warm pad over my back. The last massage I received (elsewhere) left me bruised to the point I could not sit back for a week due to the discomfort. The pressure Carrie used was perfect. At some point during the facial I was so relaxed that I actually woke myself up due to my snoring… lol. I highly recommend this place and I will be going back to try some of the other services they offer as well.

Carrie is spectacular! I got the Pampered Princess for Valentines Day and couldn’t wait. It was my first time seeing her, loved her! Very relaxing, talks you through everything (even all the little noises her machines make). It was so relaxing, I can’t wait for my next visit!

First time client and Carrie is wonderful. She made me feel really comfortable, welcomed and even talked me through the whole service. I felt relax worry free and I will definitely recommend her to my friends and family.

I started coming here here because of a coupon that I bought online, and have been coming back since. The place is small, but clean and cozy, and its never crowded. I always feel like I am the only customer there (which may be true, I don’t think their staff is very large). The prices are very reasonable, and Carrie does a great job responding to calls, texts, emails, etc very quickly.
She is so friendly, and always remembers me even when I haven’t been around for months. She always makes me feel really comfortable and relaxed (at least as much as possible while getting waxed). I can’t speak to their other services.
She does sometimes miss little things, which is the primary reason why I gave four stars instead of five. Overall though, she does a good job, and and is pretty efficient at getting things done. I can’t speak to their other services, but I will definitely keep coming back here for waxing.

I am very happy I was referred to Slice of Heaven! I spoke to Carrie before coming in and she was very nice. When I went to my appointment she was very welcoming. She explained what she was going to do during my facial. I felt great during and after my facial. Carrie knew what type of facial I wanted and she went above and beyond. I was so happy with the facial that I made my next appointment before I left. If you are looking for a place to get a facial, Slice of Heaven is the place to go! Looking forward to many more visits.

This is by far the most INCREDIBLY spa experience I have ever had. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my trip to this day spa. There is parking behind the spa so don’t waste your time looking for street parking like I did. As soon as I came in Carrie greeted me right away and knew exactly who I was. She made me tea as I filled out the medical sheets and I got to pick from a few different delicious choices of tea. We then went into the massage room and she gave me a tour of the spa as we walked. The room was very calming, with zen lighting and small waterfalls. I got the lavender massage and facial package and she took the time to explain every detail of both the massage and the facial to me, claiming that you can’t relax if you’re always worrying about what’s going to happen next, which is so true. The massage and facial were both hands down incredible. She payed attention to the smallest details! Everything from having a lavender scented face pillow for when my head was face down to different configurations to reach specific individual muscles. I was so impressed with this experience and will definitely be returning as soon as possible!

I had my very first facial at Slice of Heaven Day Spa. Carrie was attentive and listened to my concerns. She explained everything what she planned to do regarding the facial and neck/​shoulders/​arm/​hand massage. She used aromatherapy during the facial and after she was done I felt like a million bucks! The day spa is a cute little converted 1950s (?) home and there are 4 parking spaces located at the back of the house. Be sure to gps Lincoln AVENUE and not Lincoln Way/​Street! I will definitely return to a Slice of Heaven!

My Son gave me the Lavender Fields package as a gift – he chose well! What a wonderful and relaxing experience. I was coming off major surgery and still had a few tender spots. Carrie was really attentive to those and made me so comfortable. The scents were amazing and the facial was truly out of this world. My skin has never looked so fresh. Carrie is FANTASTIC! I came here for my first ever facial and it’s was wonderful. I am currently recovering from a major back surgery and she was very attentive to my comfort level the entire time. I loved that she added a little extra to the treatment other than just the facial. Such as hot stone massage on shoulders and arms, as well as a warm wrap around your feet. I can’t wait to go back for my next treatment.
Also, for those of you looking to buy a gift certificate for someone it’s very easy. My father bought this for me and he lives on the east coast. He was able to just call up and they sent the gift certificate right to my email. Very easy and convenient.

I received the lavender fields spa package and I couldn’t be more impressed and relaxed. This included a 45min massage and a 45min facial and a moisturizing hand treatment.
Previous to this appointment I had one of those «20 $ for an hour» massage and I’m not sure what the lady did to my back, but it was pretty messed up. I emailed Carrie my concern and she gave me tips on how to heal my muscles. I kept my appointment and I’m really glad I did. My back was still in a bit of pain when I saw her, but Carrie really worked her magic and loosened up my tight/​bruised
For the massage, It was sort of cold in the room, but it didn’t matter because I got to lay down on a nice warm massage table. Warm blankets/​sheets were then put on top of my body. The room had a nice atmosphere (dim lightning, relaxing music. etc)
Even though I had problems with my back, I felt SO relaxed during and after my massage. I loved the warm oil she used on various parts of the body. The essential oils smelled fantastic and were very relaxing. At one point of the massage, warm towels were wrapped around the feet and hands. This felt like heaven! A warm pillow was placed under the head too. I am the type of person who gets warm easy, but this did not bother me.
This was my first facial and definitely not my last. My face feels so soft, clean, and refreshed.
Carrie was professional, very friendly, and helpful. Since she knew it was my first time, she explained everything in detail to me. I appreciated that.
This place has great reviews for a reason. This is a great spot. Do yourself a favor and get pampered here… it’s so worth it.

I was given a Spa Finder gift card and immediately went to work to find me a place for a massage.

I excitedly contacted Carrie via her email contact system and immediately got back to me promising to call me back the next day. The next day, she did :)
What I appreciated was Carrie’s «appointment reminder» system. I had received both text messages and email messages to gently remind me of my appointment. Thank goodness for that!
I booked the «7^th Heaven» massage and got there early.
I was blown away how sexy, «zen like» and and relaxing her décor was, it was a great first impression. The motif of all her treatment rooms were so CLASSY! Loved it!
Carrie took her time going over my questionnaire. She also went over facial treatments which I appreciated as I have adult cystic acne. She recommended products that I will try once my regular protocol of facial products runs out :)
The massage was amazing. Carrie made sure that she explained what she was going to do next in her massage process. She pointed out that I was «a 10» in tightness and I believed her as I’ve started this crazy workout regimen that DID NOT include a cool down stretch. I felt like a dried up rubberband ready to snap (LOL). She worked my tight left shoulder (area of tightness) and it was a absolutely blissful.
She massaged my scalp at my request as I get frequent headaches. I felt like a died and went to heaven… oh wait, I was already there! :)
I love this place! I shall be back soon!
ps. The icing on the cake was a follow up thank you from Carrie this morning… I tell you, this woman is exceptional in service!

OKAY whoaaaaaaa! Let’s back up a second here.
I’d like you all to read my previous review. Now I think you can all see, it was a GOOD REVIEW. I said a lot of good things about the service and the spa itself. I even said good stuff about Carrie and the facial!
What I don’t appreciate is being hassled about my GOOD REVIEW. I got a message from Carrie that read:
«Thank you for my Unilocal review I really appreciate the time you took. Customer Service is extremely important to me. I am sorry that the massage was not what you expected. I do remember you in a deep sleep so much you were snoring. I was happy to see that you must have needed some well deserved rest but I did not want to dig in with a strong elbow and startle you. I would be happy to offer you a 30 min massage to help relieve those achy back muscles. Truly, we really believe in old fashioned customer service and want your experience to be a good one.»
I then got a comment on my previous review that said the folowing:
«This client arrived early and was able to complete her health survey so we started her service. The service was 2 hrs which means that is the amount of time we spend with you in the treatment room. The body heat packs do not take time away from the massage because we are massaging one body part while the packs are sitting on another. When the occasional client snores really loud we do not want to dig in the muscle with a strong elbow and startle them in their deep sleep so we continue with Swedish massage. «
Now if you care about customer service, why do you think its okay to throw someone under the bus and talk about my snoring? I mean, not that I really care (*raises hand* I snore really loudly and I’m okay with that), but I don’t need everyone in internet land knowing that I snore, do I? I think that’s a pleasure that they should discover on their own! I took that comment as a personal attack on me and as a means to insult me. I just don’t see the point in that… I admitted that I fell asleep! Did I talk about the fact that she was doing some deep breathing as she started my massage? Like she was already worn out from running a marathon and therefore had no business attempting to massage me? Or that she kept spraying some stupid «aromatherapy» crap in the air throughout my facial which she claimed to be «natural spa smells» but really seemed like bursts of Lysol? NO, because that’s her thing and I do not mean to insult ANYONE with my Unilocal reviews (unless I outright say that I’m going to be insulting – that’s another story).
Anyway, after both of these messages from Carrie, I’m going to have to retract my GOOD review, because these experiences far outweigh the ok/​mediocre experience that I had in the actual spa. When people go to a spa to relax, they go with the trust that their masseuse/​facialist/​whatever is not going to figuratively throw them under the bus. First she talks about my snoring, what if she then talks about my tattoo, or that love bite on my butt (oops, threw myself under the bus there *blushes*)…
*Eek! Me thinks not* is putting it mildly. I can no longer recommend this spa AT ALL and I would highly recommend that Carrie rethinks her attitude if she wants to claim that she finds «customer service extremely important».
