Silicon Valley Auto Glass & Window Tinting

They replaced the windshield on my GS 350 with OEM glass. Good seal, clean work, and they even called my insurance for me. Clear instructions for the aftercare as well.

I was back 9 years later for another car to be tinted. First car was in 2006 (Acura).
A+ as always and Art made if very easy to pick the right tint percentage and company.
The price has always been very fair for the excellent quality.

My father in law told us about this place several years ago. We first used them to fix a badly botched windshield replacement by another shop. Every time we have gone there the service is friendly and finished in the time frame the stated up front.
I would have no reservations about recommending this shop to anyone needing glass repair done.

A rock broke my Lexus windshield and had to be replaced. After checking Monterey Lexus and several shops here in Monterey none quoting less than $ 1800 for my windshield –I just don’t want a Safelite or some other windshield as there are several differences and I want a Lexus replacement. I have AAA insurance with $ 1000 deductible and their refusal to give me a Lexus windshield was upsetting. I called Steven Creek Lexus that referred me to Silicon Valley Glass. What a blessing. Art took care of the entire matter. I got my beautiful Lexus windshield and the best service I have experienced, from any business in longer than I can remember and I’m-well, just say, not young.
Despite this shop doing window tinting and repair/​replacement, Art’s shop is cleaner than most restaurants.
I did not take Art’s advice abut driving home no more than 60 mph, but took the freeway going 45 mph all the way back to Monterey County. Got flipped off many times, but my new windshield is perfect.
My husband dealt with Art’s wife Linda in the office and said she’s also terrific.
I hope never to need a new windshield, but at least I know the BEST place to go.

These guys are awesome. The do quality install window tinting. They did my Mercedes 11 years ago and it still looked great when I got rid of the car. I just had them tint my new Lexus, and I couldn’t be more happy. The team took care of me and conscientious. The delivered sooner than they promised. Art is on top of it for sure. I loved Art and his wife Linda they were so sweet and Linda was extremely helpful with helping me choose the darkness of the tint since I was extremely indecisive. They did an amazing job tinting my Volkswagen Beetle. I love how much better it looks now. Their prices were also the most reasonable compared to all the other places I had called. Plus it comes with limited lifetime warranty! I would most definitely recommend them to everyone!

I would give them more stars if I could! My car was broken into at 6:45 am, by 11:30 I had my window repaired. They are so sweet and efficient and the quality seems excellent! I’m so grateful for their help after such a bad incident! I would highly recommend them and the tint windows too!

Horrible service and even worse prices don’t waist your time here. Art Hernandez and his wife are wolves in sheep skin. Whatever you need there’s a better shop for you! I’ve been coming to Art for years and each time I ask my self why did I go there. Not ever again will go back and give them my money for crapy rude half a** service. I highly recommend any other shop!

My husband and I have been coming here for all of our car window tint needs. Art is the owner and he is friendly and professional. I recently upgraded my car and my husband brought my car back here to get my windows tinted. Art once again provided us the right tint shade recommendations. I would highly recommend this place. We used to go to another place before, but the quality of work here is much better than anywhere else.

I took my old Jaguar here to get tints to protect the perfect original interior. I was dealt with quickly and given a reasonable quote and I went ahead and scheduled the work to be done the following week. When I went to drop the car off I expected to just hand over my keys. Instead they asked me to bring the car up for inspection. Art was extremely thorough in inspecting the car, particularly the window mechanisms and the door cards, which would have to come off to allow the moving windows to be tinted off the car as is their practice. My power windows got a real workout as Art motored them up and down, listening and pointing out slight noises here and there in the mechanisms. I thought this attention to detail was an extremely good sign of the workmanship that was to come… and it was. My car was finished on time and cleaned before giving it back to me. The tint is flawless. I got the lightest tint available, but it makes a huge difference to the cars looks and it also keeps the interior noticeably cooler. If you look at the pictures on their website you see all kinds of cool and expensive cars in the shop. Despite this, the bottom line is I got treated really well and got great service even turning up in an old Jag.
As a result of the service and the product, I have another car going in a few weeks from now for tint and clear bra. I am confident I will get a repeat of the excellent service I got the last time.

I rarely do reviews, too busy to do the small little reviews on every single place. But when I get bigger jobs done, like on my car, maybe I’ll do a review. Well I did some research and read some reviews, plus checked out the work they do at Silicon Valley auto glass — which all checked out awesome (because they do an amazing job). I decided to call them up late on a Saturday night, after hours didn’t expect anyone to answer but they have people taking calls late after hours somehow. Showed their commitment to their customers, they want us happy and are willing to do whatever it takes to work with us (and our busy schedules). I made an appointment after being quoted (very good price for the great job they do honestly, at least $ 100 cheaper than other places I was looking at).
Went in today to get my windows tinted on my new black 2.5s sports car. They explained everything to me about the legality, different shades, how it works, how long it takes, warranty, etc. Very friendly and thorough, they don’t do quick jobs or try to rush people out the door to get more business. These guys are out to do a great job for people who want to get a great job done, and do it price friendly. My car was done (all 5 windows including rear) in less than 3 hours and a great job was done. If i know anyone who needs tinting or any auto glass work I will refer them here, if you are going to do something you better do it right. And doing your car right would be bringing it here for any of these types of jobs.

SVA turn my bad days with crack wind shield to great evening with pleasant appropriation for Art, Linda and their crew.
We were driving back from Yosemite after 3 day vacation. A rock came from middle of the no where bouncing on the road and hit my be loved FJ cruiser. I heard FJ is difficult to replace windshield. So I ask my mechanic friend who use to work for Lexus. He recommend me to go to SVG. I call them Monday morning with my insurance company. Linda was very patient and professional. She check the availability of the parts and set me up for same day appointment. They turn my blue Sunday evening to a sunny Monday afternoon. Work is clean and flawless. My FJ back to perfect condition. Thanks guys at SVG. I am bring my mom’s van to SVG tomorrow for windshield replacement. Finally I found a window repair shop is trust worth.

I am going to kick myself over and over as all the years living in the So Bay and around the Almaden, Blossom, Cambrian Area Silicon Valley Auto Glass & Window Tint has been in the same spot since the 90’s! Right next to and behind Burrito Factory!
Why you ask… cause of their service! I messaged/​emailed them via Unilocal and with a quick response I got a reply back from Linda. I mean you don’t get messages/​emails thru Unilocal that quick by a business who is about to close near their quitting time on a weekend and how many businesses you know actually monitors their Unilocal Messages?
So Linda and I chatted back forth via Unilocal Message/​email and I was very direct on what I wanted. Was looking at Option 1 for New Front Windshield Replacement as my Road Chip was already causing veins to grow and extend due to the heat. I have had this chip for well over 3 years, 2 others for 2 years. So when I saw the veins begin to grow at a rapid pace I just had to get this done quickly.
Option 2 included Option 1 but at the same time re-​do the entire tint on my car front, back, side to side (lol had to throw that in!) ahem, anyways, Linda was kind enough to give both options and a quote was messaged back to me. At this point I was sold and decided I’d drop in first thing Monday Morning. IF I drove my car any further my windshield would have cracked or grown more veins since I travel from the So Bay to North Santa Clara County in the city of Palo Alto.
I dropped in on a Monday morning just several minutes after they had open shop and spoke to Hector. He went over on what I wanted, made sure the conversation with Linda was all in order and left my keys to the Pros. I came back to the shop 30 minutes before close and wow! Wow cause I was amazed on how much cleaner this tint job was done than the one shop I went to in Santa Clara back in 2005. Don’t get me wrong my original tint was sufficient and clean, but the way Silicon Valley Auto Glass & Tint did their job looked more like a factory roll out rather than a shop. It’s that much more cleaner and visibly pleasing to view at from all angles.
My original set up was 35% up front 20% for the rears. The new set-​up is now 35% all around and this is mainly for one important reason. My daughter will now use my car on a regular basis as she begins to drive and I wanted to make sure has full visibility and yet still be cool in the car. I also want to make sure this car can surpass it’s normal life expectancy.
I will soon bring my 2000 Dodge Durango to have the Fronts tinted at 45% or blend in with the current stock tint and bring in my 2010 Escalade ESV as when we bought the SUV the rears has been re-​tinted with overlays on top of the Factory. Right now it’s DARK!!! Even in the summer it’s DARK!!!
Friends, Family, Unilocal Community, if you have to get your vehicle tinted, I 100% Unilocal Guarantee this is the one place you should go! Give them a holla as the only thing you can lose is your cool!

They removed the tinting off of five Windows of my 1992 Vigor. I had tinting put on when I bought the car 22 years ago and it had bubbled, cracked and peeled so bad over the years that I could only are out of the front three Windows.
The Windows look band new now! I will bee back to have the Windows re-​tinted soon!

Some cunt broke into my car last night (which was in my garage) by smashing the quarter glass
My neighbor notified me 7 am in the morning. I called my insurance company shortly and they told me my deductible would be $ 500.
I found Silicon Valley Auto Glass through Unilocal and called them 9 am. To my surprise they told me they had the same window in stock and I could bring in my car and they would work on it immediately.
I dealt with them directly bypassing my insurance and they did the job for much less than the cost of my deductible.
My car was done by 11.30, thanks to Silicon Valley Auto Glass I was able to turn a shitty morning around

I took my car in to replace some adhesive window tint that was bubbling. It came with the car when I bought it and it has been degrading over the past several years and curling. They matched it perfectly with the other windows and also fixed some of the dings in the windshield.
I highly recommend this place. They did an outstanding job and it was ready withing 2 hours.

I’ve taken my car to Art when he owned another auto glass place back in 1995. Needless to say, I knew that he would take care of my vehicle.
They tinted all of my windows in my Lexus RX 350. You will notice that their prices are higher than the average shop, but there is good reason for that. I do not have time to continue to take my car in to fix imperfections/​bubbles. If you take your car to Silicon Valley Auto Glass, they will get the job done right!
They also replaced my front windshield on my SUV a few years back. These guys are top notch!

I got my windows tinted at SILICON VALLEY and thought they did a fantastic job… Especially considering I had a tricky situation that caused them to work outside of the box. I have a 1965 Chevy Stepside, and the bozos at Maaco painted my side panels on the doors without removing the main pieces or screws. So SVWT couldn’t take my windows out without ruining the door panel paint. So they worked around it and did a great job!
Lone complaint, they are a bit pricey. I guess I can’t complain, it was a Christmas gift from my wife.
