History
Established in 1995.
Ike Shulman has helped thousands of clients get a «Fresh Start» since 1986, and has also been a leader within the bankruptcy bar. In 1992 he co-founded and served as first President of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), the only national organization set up to protect and defend the rights of consumer debtors in bankruptcy. Ike also served as the founding Chair of Santa Clara County’s Chapter 13 Subcommittee in 1989 – 1990.
In 2005 he he was selected to teach over 3,000 lawyers on how to practice under the new bankruptcy law. In 1998 Ike also testifed before Congress on consumer bankruptcy issues.
In 2006, Ike received a Certificate of Recognition from the Northern District of California Bankruptcy Court Judges for his service as Chair of the Bankruptcy Local Rules Committee.

When a new bankruptcy law went into effect in 2005, Ike quickly immersed himself in the new law, and was selected by NACBA as one of a handful of trainers to educate over 3000 attorneys on how to practice under the new law. «The new law put up a number of roadblocks to keep working people from getting a fresh start,» Ike says with passion in his voice. «But we have learned to work with the new law, and are achieving excellent results for our clients.»
Ike and his wife Margaret, a retired special education teacher, live in Silicon Valley and have raised their family there. Ike is also a dedicated San Jose Sharks fan.
