Much of the public believes that only people who are «crazy» would go to a «shrink». Well, nothing could be further from the truth. Although many ordinary people do suffer from depression, anxiety, grief and adjustment to trauma in their lives, this doesn’t make them «crazy». I am here to help you with what are often ordinary problems. Some of my clients think of me as their «Personal Life Consultant.» Though my psychotherapy practice is general — I work with adults, couples and families. I have an interest in working with people who suffer from chronic diseases, like cancer, arthritis or fibromyalgia. I have ten years of experience working with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. I can’t make your diseases vanish, but I can help you cope better and feel less alone. I also welcome many of my clients who come from cultures outside the United States or are in mixed-culture relationships. Cultural adjustments can result in feelings of loneliness, loss and confusion about w ho you are — and what you believe in. Working together in psychotherapy can help you to develop a new sense of yourself, while building your self-esteem and clarifying your values.
