Our team is composed of industry experts who collectively specialize in optometry, sensory training, injury prevention, and strength & conditioning. Although we use classical and proven sports performance methods, we combine it with technology that only other top vision professionals have to give our athletes the edge in the classroom and on the field. Our unique programs are designed to improve vision, brain processing, and physical skills to help you see, decide, and react faster. We place special emphasis on vision, because the eyes lead the body in nearly everything we do. We have helped hundreds of athletes reach their desired level of performance, and we can certainly do the same for you.

History

Established in 2012.

SensorySpeed is a family owned business. The training programs were developed by top Sports Neuro Developmental Optometrist, Dr. Bradford Murray. Dr. Brad has worked for over 30 years in the field of vision improvement, including children with learning/​attention problems, youth athletes, and elite professionals (i.e. 1984 gold medal winning Men’s Volleyball team).

In 2012 he collaborated with his son, Shane, to start Sensory Speed. Shane is a former collegiate football player, Certified Sports Performance Trainer (7 years experience), and has 5 of years of vision training experience.

The business started out in Dr. Murray’s small office where the programs were developed. After proving that the training worked with athlete after athlete SensorySpeed left its incubator stage and joined forces with South Bay Sports Training.

Shane M.

Business Owner

Being around sports training and vision therapy for over 18 years, Shane has first-​hand experience of the benefits that both have on athletic performance. This is what inspired his dream to run a fitness business that offers high quality total performance training.

Shane graduated from Pioneer HS in San Jose, then attended Azusa Pacific University where he studied Exercise Science and played for their football team. He worked as a personal for 4 years before starting Sensory Speed, and has been teaching vision therapy to athletes and children since 2011. Shane continues to take educational courses in the fields of Sports Vision & Kinesiology.

Shane is also a member of the A-​Team; a group comprised of the top sports vision experts in the country.
