Second Chance Sobriety Homes really did me a solid. This place gave me my best friends back. After many years of drug use, a couple of my closest homies had become hopeless junky a-​holes. Crashing cars, stealing fire equipment, you name it… these guys heading toward dark futures. Second Chance Sobriety Homes really turned everything around though! One after another, these friends of mine got sober as a result of staying here. The support and structure they received reversed years of bad decision making and bad habits. Thanks again for giving me back my people!!!

I have been to more than one SLE in Santa Clara County and Second Chance is by far the best one I have been to. It is family owned and run and does not have the feel of some of the SLEs that are tied to rehabilitation centers. By that I mean the managers care more about your recovery and well being than filling beds and making money. The location on Redcliff is in a safe neighborhood and close to many main roads. I like that there are no crazy rules like wake up times and bed times. As long as you work a program and are serious about recovery you can lead a normal independent life. The house is clean and has a very homey feel. Definitely recommend Second Chance to anyone looking for a sober environment that lets you work recovery at your own pace.

Incredible organization. Mark is truly great at what he does and the business he runs. He makes it feel like a tight-​knit community and not just a business. The atmosphere is like no other and really makes you feel welcome. Definitely recommend if you want need a «second chance»!

I was afraid my cousin was bent on his own self destruction, that we were going to lose him. When nearby people that loved him realized they were enabling him by supporting him and ceased to do so, Mark reached out to him and brought him into the sober living environment. I visited once, and it seemed like a really nice place. When he was doing better, he even took on a position of responsibility and authority. I’m so grateful this place existed for him to return to his fully functioning self.

One of the best SLE’s I’ve ever been to! Great people, good location, clean and comfortable house; If you’re looking for a place to call home while you begin a new life this is the place to go. Five stars all around!

Great house, great people, great atnosphere!

Second chance is an incredible organization. When my brother hit rock bottom and no one was able to help him, Mark helped him start his life over again and gave him a safe, supportive home where he could clean up and rebuild his self esteem. My brother eventually became a house dad, gaining important skills, and was able to obtain his masters degree during his time there. Second chance saved my brother’s life, and I am forever grateful.

This home has definitely had a positive impact in my life and recovery. Compared to several other houses I looked into, this one was by far the cleanest. The management really cares about your sobriety and wants you to succeed, giving you the tools that will help you stay sober before you decide to move out. I would absolutely recommend Second Chance sobriety homes to anyone looking to transition back to living on their own.

Definitely recommend second chance SLE’s… they are consistent with their expectations, and extremely supportive. They provide a home like atmosphere and made it really easy to transition back into living in sobriety.

What can I say that hasn’t been said already? This place is great. I’ve got a ton of love for the people who run the operations and the clients they serve. They provide a stress free, we’ll maintained environment so I can develop in my sobriety and as an individual.

This place has given me the opportunity to change my life. The house provides me a safe, sober environment to live in while I better my life. It’s the best SLE I’ve lived in. and I’ve been to several. I’d recommend anyone to check this place out.

Perfect place for maintaining sobriety and helping get life back on track. Staying here for 18 months helped set the foundation for my recovery and the peace I have found within myself. The accommodations themselves are way above par for a recovery home. The two houses I stayed at were kept in great condition, with Internet/​Cable and all the fixings that anyone needs to feel at home. House meetings conducted during the week to maintain a sense of community and responsibility.
Would highly recommend staying here if you or someone you care about is fighting the battle.

Second Chance is one of the better SLE’s in San Jose. They keep their houses in great condition and operations run smoothly. If you want to stay sober and have constant support, this is the place to be. It feels more like a family there and people genuinely care. The rules of the house are not outlandish and clearly given to the clients at intake, I don’t know why anyone would give this place less than a five star review!

Second Chance sobriety is a wonderful SLE. I’ve spent time in a TLC SLE and the difference was striking. While TLC did help in maintaining sober living, it was also a corporation and you could feel their need to make money. Second Chance is family owned and operated by managers that really care about your sobriety. All the amenities, lots of space. Check them out.

Of all the SLE’s I have seen I probably feel the safest visiting this one. Not only do they have in house meetings to connect but the owners like to get the house members to connect outside the house for entertainment. They really show you that living a sober life can be a fun and productive one. Life didn’t end and having the support of others going through similar life experiences really helps me not feel so alone.

I have lived in a couple SLE’s and second chance is by far my favorite. The house is super nice and the house manager keeps it really clean.
The people I lived with were all really recovery driven and it helped me out a lot.
I wouldn’t chose any other SLE to live in.

House needs to be cleaned. Rent is too high.

Mark and his team at Second Chance really strive to raise the bar above what one typically thinks about recovery homes. The houses are in good areas, newly remodeled and have all the amenities one could want. It’s very easy to assimilate into how they do things there.
Don’t cheat yourself by going anywhere else.
