After working closely with this office for almost a decade I can attest that these are some of the most caring, empathetic, and hard working people I have ever worked with. I have not had a case with their office but I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with their staff quite often and they always display an eagerness to do more for their clients and a work ethic that is unparalleled.

I was first introduced to Harvey Sackett and Associates back in April of 2012. An old friend of mine suggested using Harvey’s firm to represent me in my Social Security Disability claim. My friend had used their services and couldn’t say enough good things about their handling of his case. Now, my case was a little (a lot) different than most. Because of a clause in the Collective Bargaining Agreement in the field of my employ, in order for me to be able to collect my disability through the Collective Bargaining Agreement, I had to be found to be disabled by Social Security first, and this had to be done before my 55^th birthday. Problem there is that I was 54 years old with a November birthday and it was already April. I contacted Harvey and after introductions explained my situation and the time restraints that I was facing. This didn’t faze Harvey at all… he was excited about the challenge.
Harvey wasted no time getting to work. He set up a conference call for later that evening with his associates and we spent the next 4 hours on the phone going over my entire medical history. Over the next few days, I gathered all of my medical records and sent them off to Harvey and his firm. There were many more phone calls and e-​mails but Sackett and Associates never once made me feel like this was anything that couldn’t be accomplished. Their due diligence and attention to detail were phenomenal. Now, from what I understand, it can sometimes take a year or more for you to receive a judgment from Social Security. Well, let me tell you, because of the hard work and preparation done by Sackett and Associates, I received a positive judgment by August of that year…2 months before my 55^th birthday! They accomplished this in 4 months time. Amazing! Needless to say I am a big fan of Harvey Sackett and his firm and would highly recommend them to anyone needing representation in regards to a Social Security Disability case.

My experience with Sackett & Associates was very positive, yes I was approved for SSDI but I ABSOLUTELY would still say it was positive. Last year, I was having trouble getting my disability claim approved after 6 months of back and forth just to get my medical records to the claims person. I decided to go with Sackett and Associates after seeing their commercial and hearing great things from friends. They won my case after working hard with the claims person to make sure my file had all of my records as well as records when I was recently hospitalized. They treated me like I really mattered to them and checked on me during my hospital stay and informed me of what was going on with my case. I am so happy to have won and I truly believe it was because of them!

After I suffered a serious injury and became unable to work, I considered filing for SSDI, but heard so many horror stories about the 2 – 5 year time involved and about claims being accept only after hiring a lawyer and appealing a couple times. Discouraged one Sunday afternoon, I filled in an online questionnaire and Harvey Sackett called me in about a half hour. The office sent me forms to complete, and my case was assigned to Alicia, who was great and patiently answered my questions over and over. She was completely honest with me, and made sure that I was aware of the difficulties involved and every possible outcome. She was so meticulous that she followed up when I forgot to send in the next form and filed every form in the right time. My claim was approved after only 4 months. My recommendation: Call BEFORE you file. Yes, you still have forms that you need to complete yourself. Yes, they are busy and you sometimes have to leave a message for a return call. but they DO call. SS sent me several duplicate forms and Alicia knew which ones I could ignore. Ultimately, I firmly believe that having an attorney at the beginning insured that everything was filed correctly and saved us both a bunch of time and hassle. Although it didn’t really cost me all that much, they were well worth every penny!

Rip off wasted 2 years with these loonies. Plus their office is super creepy, people pretending to be other people. Just a waste. If you’re under 50, they don’t even bother to help. Now I’m sicker than ever and I thought they would fight for me and my disability, Crohn’s disease with a lot of complications. I guess an autoimmune diseases isn’t their priority. Just want all your disability money that you worked most of your life for. Now I’m going to try again by myself because I don’t trust these kinds of lawyers. Greedy!

I just received my full approval letter from the ALJ for my SSDI and without the assistance from Sackett and Associates I strongly believe it would be a lost case. After contacting them they were so helpful on the process submitting all needed paperwork and keeping me updated. If you are going for SSI or SSDI this is who you want on your side you will not be disappointed.

I called Harvey Sackett and
help me with my claim for SSDI. He sent a young lawyer who looked like she just got out of law school. She was nice but not aggresive. The judge and the other man who was their to say which jobs could be done. The man was more aggresive. The judge would say something and my young lawyer didn’t say much I could have been more aggresive myself. My young lawyer just said a few words. I thought Harvey Sacett would represent me himself. We went to court and judge denied it. The young lawyer did tell me that this judge denied most claims. We appealed it and then I got a letter in the mail from Sackettt telling me to look for another lawyer, that Sackett no longer wanted to represent me and for me to look for another lawyer, they insisted over and over again for me to sign their paper saying I agreed to dismiss Sackett as my lawyer and to look for another one. I was very upset. I guess he had other cases that were more important than mine. The people putting 5 stars on Unilocal are people whos cases were won. The other are probably friends. I trusted him to go all the way and represent me till the end, isn’t that what he says on his tv commercials. He was very deceiving. Said one thing and did another. Not once did I speak to him. The only person I spoke to was Juanita his assistant. The young lawyer I only spoke to her once, when we went to court.
I don’t know about you guys but if I were you I would pick another lawyer who would represent you till the END…

I found Sackett and Associates for my ex husband through an online form where several lawyers would contact you. He said that Sackett and Associates were the only ones that called and actually helped him. He had been homeless and basically on deaths door with no medical. He had given up and thought no one could help him. Right away Sackett got the wheels rolling. Ashley was wonderful. I even went to court with him. When Ashley walked into the room, everyone seemed to know who she was, she was very professional. She made us feel at ease that he would get his settlement without a doubt. Within 6 months, my ex husband had won his case and within 2 months had his settlement with medical. He now is no longer homeless. Is living in a home and has great medical attention. If I was ever in need of a lawyer for disability I would not hesitate to contact this office. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I just won my SSDI case with the help of Sackett and Associates. They’ve been with me since the beginning, for almost two years. They helped me appeal twice and reassured me that many, if not most, SSDI cases are won at the 2^nd appeal level. I guess they really won’t take a person’s case in the first place unless they think the Social Security Administration would really consider them disabled and worthy of SSDI. This is because they work on contingency and don’t get any money if you don’t win.
I was impressed with how pleasant and easy to deal with the assistants that were assigned to me were. And the lawyer, who I finally met the day of my hearing, was very professional, informative and reassuring. Overall it was a good experience with Sackett, from start to finish. Naturally, if I hadn’t won my case I would feel a little differently today, but I would still be confident that they had used their best judgment that I had a good case, and had brought to bear their considerable experience and expertise, and that the judge just wasn’t feeling good that day, or something.

Wow blown away at how professional, efficient and amazing this place handled my SSA Case and I did not even have to walk in their door or get on them to do their job. Everything was handled on the phone and by mail and all I got to say is job well done everybody who works at S&A they helped me win my case within a a few months after contacting them. Actually after I turned in my final paperwork I was notified a month later stating I won. Everyone I told how fast I won my case say that’s unheard of that it usually takes atleast 2 years to win or get even an answer back. Rest assure hire S&A they have an amazing team that will win your case! I will alway recommend S&A to all who need help winning their disability.

I would NEVER recommend these people. I filed my own papers for my disability claim and completed any other documents that Social Security requested. I spoke to an actual attorney ONE TIME. I called them several times trying to get a few questions answered and no one took the time to call me back. They never had to go to court for me – I won my case without any appeals the first time I applied. I really don’t know what they did but they got paid $ 3,400+ for «properly preparing and presenting» my case. Now, several months after they were paid they are sending me a bill for $ 20.00 for postage. Postage??? Are you serious???

If you need a disability lawyer, this is the place to go! So helpful, friendly, and efficient. Without them, I don’t know where I would be.
