These people are SCAMMERS! BEWARE! DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM! I was on my new iMac and saw a blue popup screen saying that I had a critical error, and to call the 800 number immediately. Of course I should have known better, and just called AppleCare, but I guess I got nervous and fell into their trap. I called the number and spoke with a guy who was clearly from India, but called himself David Wilson (first sign something was up. Dumb me.) Then he convinced me that I needed to purchase their firewall protection software through Sach Solutions. I gave them my credit card number b/​c I thought I was speaking with Apple. (Dumber me.) I purchased their software for $ 299. He then took remote control of my computer and downloaded some adware and malware programs which are FREE. I figured it all out a day later and spoke with AppleCare. They walked me through cleaning up whatever this scam company downloaded onto my computer, and said there was no apparent damage. I have contacted my credit card company to cancel the credit card payment. This David Wilson even called me a day later saying he worked for Pandaje Tech and that he would help me at any time to fix my computer for «not even one penny.» I said thanks and got off the phone. They prey on your gut reaction that your computer is in trouble and needs immediate repair. Don’t fall for it like I did! There are many complaints online with the Better Business Bureau.
