Randstad

Would be zero if I could. These guys lied both myself and the customer countless times. They never paid on-​time, a single invoice (and I was net 30 end of month!). I had to threaten with legal action to get my expenses and hours paid after the contract ended. When your done, beware their intensions. Luckily, the customer was very happy with me and managed to get rid of Rndstad, so I could continue my relationship with them. The customer (one of the largest Pharmaceuticals in the world) will not be using them again (nor shall I).

I don’t think Randstad is truly interested in doing what they are suppose to do. It almost feels like you need to be in demand for them to pay you any serious attention. The thing is, if one was in demand, why would one require an employment agency? I felt like they were unorganized and the communication was close to nonexistent. I would strongly recommend picking a different employment agency.

Incompetent with poor communications. I had a question about an email there response was to resend the email. Was asked why I didn’t respond to there offer, I was never given an offer and couldn’t get a straight answer as to if or when the offer would have been extended or told what the offer was. It’s like dealing with a broken automated machine with this company. I made it through several rounds of tests and interviews and was 1 of 2 picked by there client. All they had to do was present the offer, background check, and drug screen. There actions reflect poorly on there client. How it is in the beginning is how it will be in the end.

What can I say. The negative remarks here of «incompetent» and «worthless» has been somewhat confirmed with my recent experience. The kind of experience that makes me almost take back the past criticisms I have had with prior agencies or work. Until things change, 1 star is too much.

This agency is completely worthless. Nothing but broken promises to help find employment by people that really don’t care. Don’t waste your time with this company at all. I would strongly recommend to stay away.

Unbelievably incompetent. Don’t waste your time.
Randstad took over the account from Aerotek and is going to run Zazzle into the ground by bringing in unqualified people for their temporary seasonal positions.
Utterly no concern for customer service or quality. All Randstad cares about is having as many of their temporary workers as possible on site at Zazzle, in order to get their billing as high as possible.
In the past, I have worked long-​term, temp-​to-​hire positions for Manpower, Kelly, Remedy, Ultimate Staffing and Labor Ready, all of which I can recommend.
Randstad is going to cost Zazzle millions in lost revenue, because of customer dissatisfaction: Returning merchandise and never going back.

This place is awesome. I went in with my resume had a quick interview with Nicole and about 4 days later she called me with a job. She was great about prepping me for the interview and very helpful in answering all my questions. I was lucky enough to land a great job through a friend before I got hired at this position so I was no longer in need of their services but I’m positive if I hadn’t gotten this job from my friend than Nicole would have gotten me a job. If you are looking for a job check it out, they are legit and super friendly!

They have gotten better, so I’m upping their rating slightly.
I am a manger who’s company has a large contract with Randstad. I have found the personnel hired to do work through Randstad to be fine, but that the Randstad management and HR function itself is absolutely terrible. It is the worst I seen in over 25 years of supervision and using temp staffing services to help with peak workloads. I suspect Randstad management takes their overhead fee and buys beer, drinks the beer and then cannot do the books or when they attempt to do them screw them all up.
Let me emphasize, the workers Randstad has provided are fine and so far the workers do seem to get paid on time. Rather it is the HR management and billing to my company that I constantly have trouble with. For over a month, I’ve been requesting invoices yet the billing management sends me the wrong invoices. Randstad is like the Abbott and Costello of HR. «who’s are you sending for my shipping and receiving position Randstad. Well, actually what is doing shipping and receiving; who and I don’t care are doing your office move».

I had a bad experience at the location where I was hired. Normally one goes to an agency, gets placed and works but in this instance I applied for a specific position, went through testing and interviews for what I thought would be a management position only to be placed with 21 year olds whose last job was at Best Buy and had no idea how to function in an office environment. I worked for a month but got fed up with the immaturity and lack of professionalism. A lot of people were walking around with absolutely nothing to do for 8 hours a day. There were Randstadt managers on site that seemed ineffective at best and gossipy and unprofessional at worst. In short, no sir, I don’t like it. Would not recommend.
I also spoke to my landlady about my experience and she let me know that her son –who is a recent college grad– was contacted about interviewing for the same contract and he felt that the recruiters were so disorganized and unprofessional that he would not want to work for them at all. So it’s not just me.
Remember kids, agencies are getting paid by the hour for you to show up, so it is in their best interests to retain you and make sure you’re happy with the job. When they don’t do their job, they don’t really deserve to be making money on you by filling a seat.

You can tell that Randstad is a legit company because they don’t have 200 «reviews» from people with 0 friends and 1 review of their service, like Premier Staffing in San Francisco.
I’m giving them five stars simply because they found me a job that is a 2 year temp position. And even better, I was hired for the exact job that I applied for on their website. It was clear they were hiring for a Quality Control/​Data Entry job.
Most other temp agencies just have a poorly designed website and shady-​looking jobs. This one is legit.

I know times are rough when trying to find a job right now, but PLEASE think twice before looking for work through this soulless agency. The recruiters here seem young and unprofessional. They call you thinking they have found the right job for you, but they’re not worried about you and the type of work you will be doing. They are more worried about filling the position with whomever can fill it.
I worked for the employer on a project with a two year contract. The project sounded exciting. The people there were really cool and the job wasn’t AS boring, but the management, WOW! All power hungry people. The job site had different jobs with different contracts, so all rules did not apply to everyone, which was very confusing and unfair at the same time. The environment always felt like «my job is better than your job», «I get more privileges than you», etc.
No, I am not some angry employee that got fired for doing something stupid. I worked for the project for two years, got promoted in less than 4 months and have done a lot for them. Also one of the very few to complete their contract on that site. I love and always take pride in any work I do, it was just very hard to do that here.
After my two year contract, I thought I was done with this agency and temp jobs, but boy was I wrong. I sent in my resume again (bad idea) to help find work with similar attributes (pay, hours, more permanent). They KNEW what I was looking for. After a little head-​butting with one of the recruiters, I started getting offers on jobs that I felt were no where related to me or met my requirements. I interviewed for some of them just to get some face time. As soon as I declined an offer for a job way below my asking pay, they reported me to EDD as refusing work! Really?! This further proves my point that they only care about themselves.
As for the agency itself, you can definitely find something better than this. Just because you haven’t found a job yet, doesn’t mean you have to come running here, have confidence!

The semester is coming to an end — very soon.
I’ve been laid-​off for quite some time.
I actively search and submit my resume and/​or application daily.
However, I wasn’t getting anywhere.
I decided to check out Randstad’s website. I registered, uploaded my resume, and started searching. I applied to a few in San Jose, Milpitas, Walnut Creek, Hayward, San Francisco, and New York City. I think I applied to about 8 – 10 jobs.
The morning after, I received a call asking me to come in to interview and to get my application and other documents in to have me officially in the system. The interview went rather well and I was told to take a PowerPoint and Excel test (online so you can take it in the comfort of your own home). Once I completed the tests, I got a call back exactly 2 days after for an interview.
BTW– this office is located RIGHT across from Subway and Pizza Chicago off of San Fernando. You will not see it when you are driving.
Anyway–
I interviewed Thursday early afternoon. Cameron, my recruiter at Randstad checked in w/​me Friday morning (the day after the interview). I really liked how Cameron was thorough and very attentive to me. By 1:30pm that day, about 4 – 5 hours after his check-​in call, I was told I was offered the position!
I just know that I was the 8^th person being interviewed.
I got it! I start tomorrow! Hell to the yeah!

I am a new recruit to Randstad.
Call it lucky or excellent execution skills, but I landed an assignment to a Fortune 500 organization within a couple of weeks. The tenacity and care given to me was superlative. It’s tough out there in underemployment land. I have twelve recruiters in tandem to help me with my employment campaign. Randstad made sure I did not wait too long for my assignment to roll in. Much obliged, thank you!

I am so impressed with Randstad. I have been looking for work after voluntarily leaving a position in November 2010. After only working with them for about a month Jessica had me in an interview and I got the job. The position I am in has the most amazing team and Jessica knew I would be a great fit. I love the work I am doing and I can’t wait to start each day. Lindsay has also been great. She has helped me coordinate with details for the position and working in Randstad’s website.

Let me start off by saying… that one bad apple doesnt spoil the whole bunch…
I didn’t have an issue with recruiters at the San Fernando office my first time around. Their professionalism initially was adequate.
I did, however, have a major issue with the Randstad Manager staff at the site my assignment was at. I have never dealt with so many rude, unprofessional, and unfair people in my life! Most of the Randstad Managers at the site I worked for are ridiculous! The Senior Account Manager at the site acts like a freshmen in high school, The productivity supervisor on the work floor has a major power trip for being as incompetent as she is, a few of the leads lack communication skills and act like children, and the Director of Operations is all talk and no action.
All in all, I would advise that you think twice about how bad you need a job before turning to Randstad for employment. The staff is really horrible! When I went back to Ranstad to be placed elsewhere, once my first assignment ended, the staff I dealt with were no help at all. My calls went straight to voicemail and when I finally reached someone I was told that there are no openings at this time.
Randstad really sucks! You can consider that just my opinion, but I am not kidding or overexaggerating! They suck! Even the man I spoke with in Human Relations wasn’t very helpful!
If you turn to Randstad for job help, you are gambling with your finances when you realize you are working for ignorant and unqualified people when you are actually assigned to a work site. The training at the work site I was at was a joke! No wonder they hired people every week. You can not expect a worker to do a job at their full capacity if they are not fully trained. How do you like them apples on common sense?!
I would also advise you to ignore Angeline Z’s review, unless you like reviews that are written by people who toot their own horn. I can’t respect cold and mean people like her. It is all good though. What goes around… comes around! From what I heard when I was working on assignment, that little girl got her karma in the form of someone keying her car! I can’t really blame that person who did it! I believe that if a person is cold enough to not care about other people’s jobs and just easily fires people unfairly, then she deserves what is coming to her!

Bottom Line: Stay away from Randstad!
