Raging Waters

Start with the most important thing the lifeguards are always on people and thats good because there are alot of kids and its good to know they are on their safety and when they call peoples attention for breaking a rule they dont do it in an aggressive manner. Always with a smile and a good attitude from what ive experienced so 5 stars to the lifeguards. Raging Waters is fun to me but I didnt like the the lazy river. It was missing inner tubes. People would jump in and swim along the current and the current wont really push you if you try to float and then some of the walls were spiky. Why? So i can crash into it with no inner tube and get all scraped up? Also when you are in the line of a slide they have these ANNOYING speakers with recordings from 1980 telling u the name of the slide and a joke with dumb carnival music every 2 minutes. When you are sitting out there for 20 mins going up slowly (because you know waterparks are infamous for their long lines) it makes you really hate life. Next time Im not hesitating Im gonna rip those wires out. Its a basic speaker wire they dont hide it and it looks like a 16 year old hooked it up. Its right next to the line on any slide, all u have to do is reach and pull. The bathroom areas are bad. It looks jailhouse, not even proper shower heads, the pipes exposed, cheap crusty and peely paint and the lights are terrible. They should really remodel and think about putting like 2 more sizable bathrooms around the park to accomadate the masses. And the wave pool looks so worn down. The blue is faded on the tiles. And all the inner tubes that some slides have are all faded out. Its still a water park so its fun but it needs some upgrades. I like that its a water park within a picnic park. So you can have a barbeque going on outside with your people and go in for a while and then join the bbq again. Thats why its 3 stars and not 2. And dont forget the lifeguards keeping your kids safe. It cost 30 $ to get in. I’d pay 50 $ if it was modernized. Its something fun to do with family and good friends on a lazy sunday and nothing beats that so if you thinking of going then go its not that bad. At least there was no slimy buildup on anything. And if they added water friendly carnival games through out the park and charged a couple dollars to win some prizes (no stuffed animals but maybe plastic blow ups and water toys) they would make lots more revenue to remodel and maybe even expand a little.

Raging Waters is a nice place. There slides are fun. I would go there with family and friends.

It is really nice to go there in the summer with family and friends.

POOR customer service. Disguting facilities. algae all over the bathrooms. YUCK! Dont waste your money. Go to water world instead. Not worth the money,

Drove almost 2 hrs. To this place. The photos on the internet look great. Parking wasn’t too bad. Arrived at 11. Park opened at 10. All the locals and season pass holders got there first and reserved all the chairs and shady areas.
We were so excited to go in the lazy river as we have been to many of them through out the years. Let me say, I thought we were at the north poll. The water was ice cold. Kids were screaming and crying all over. Parents were frustrated and the staff got a kick out of it as this was a daily thing.
Don’t expect to get a clear tube for the river. There are only about 50 – 75 of them for a park of 2000+ people. Very disappointing.
Not only was the lazy river cold but all the other pools were freezing too. You would think a park like this that charges 35 per person could afford solar heating or some type of set up to heat the water at least to above freezing.
We have been to water world many time and have never experience water even close to the temperature at raging water.
I do not recommend this place to anyone unless this park makes some changes.
I hope this helps and saves other families from wasting there hard earned money.

We had a terrible experience. We hope that what we went through was isolated, but wanted to share.
I brought a good dozen people here for my daughter’s birthday at considerable expense.
At the Sidewinder the wait was unreasonably long given the line length (judging by the grumbling in line from those who’d ridden it before). We finally get to the top (our first time on that ride), and were told incomplete or incorrect information from the attendant on how to avoid getting stuck.
My daughter got stuck halfway down. The top and bottom attendants were unable to communicate to each other with hand signals (seems not all have radios) and at the bottom we couldn’t even figure out where my daughter was, and if she was in the enclosed portion why she wasn’t getting out, yelling, or responding to calls. This went on for a few minutes. As a parent this was nerve wracking.
An attendant started crawling up the lower enclosed portion to find her when we finally saw her stuck halfway up, in the open portion.
Another attendant had to shout instructions for her to get unstuck. By this time a few more minutes had passed and the entire ride was halted. She finally made it down, and was mortified. She was embarrassed, was crying, and it ruined her day.
I complained and was told it was a junior person running the top of the slide, and this may have contributed to some of the delays (while we were waiting before our turn we had noticed some other folks getting stuck as well).
So, Raging Waters, for the sake of your future customers (which won’t be us): get competent people, make sure they’re communicating accurately, and give them ALL radios so all the attendants know what’s going on.
Along with the standard sky high theme park costs, additional unexpected parking costs, food restrictions (we had party guests on strict diets that couldn’t bring their food in) we then have this insulting, embarrassing, and day-​wrecking experience.
We will not be returning, or recommending Raging Waters to anyone.

Buy your admission ticket online or at the window labeled «Guest Relations» BEFORE you get into the long line to pass through bag inspection.
We came here for the first time ever yesterday. It was going to be a hot day and this was the last weekend before school starts, so the line was really, really long right when it opened. We saw that the line passed between what appeared to be ticket booths, so we got into line and waited patiently. After about 20 minutes we got to the ticket windows, only to discover that they were not operating at all. We had to go over to the booth labeled «Guest Relations» to buy our tickets. Call me silly and revolutionary, but I think a ticket window should be labeled «Tickets». So we got out of line, stood in another for tickets, and then had to persuade the «security» guard to let us in the line early. She balked at first and basically accused us of being dishonest, but I told her, «I don’t teach my kids to lie» and asked her to check the security tapes. She said that would take a long time, and I said, «well, I guess you had better get going then.» She let us through.
Most of the people who work here are disinterested and unfriendly. When we went up to the Season Pass photo area, one worker looked at me and then pointed to her partner and said, «I’m totally out of it right now.» Maybe this place should do spot drug testing on their workers from time to time.
The water attractions are fun, but the lines can be very long and slow. That didn’t bother me so much, and I understand that they can’t let people go hurtling down the chutes until they know it’s clear. People often got hung up on the lower part of «Great White Shark» and there would have been injuries if others were coming down before it was cleared. Kids (and adults like me) do wipe out on the Serpentine Slides, and it would have been unfortunate if I had been struck on the head by another rider as I emerged from the water.
The water quality does leave much to be desired, but this is always going to be hard when there are thousands of people with sunscreen washing off in the water. I’m not sure if a better filtering system would be any better, but that «Endless River» was downright disgusting by the end of the day.
Food in the park is overpriced and mediocre. I know that many people sneak food into the park (we didn’t since we didn’t know how thoroughly our bags would be checked). Bring plenty of your own water as fountains are pretty difficult to find in the park.

Raging Lines. You’ll spend the whole day in lines and maybe get 2 or 3 rides. At most.

This review is based on a Friday of August, opening to closing.
Parking-​easy, not full at all, no line at entrance, security slack (I could have brought own food)
Employees– part-​time teenagers. They did greet and wish me a nice day. Lifeguards more serious with eyes on the water.
Food– amusement park quality & prices. No big shockers. I brought my own liter of bottled water. Bottled water is allowed.
Lounging– my party were up and about the whole time. We only went back to our towels to have lunch then were back at it. If you go to just lounge, get there early to grab an umbrella and chair.
Attractions– they were awesome and fun! What can compare to it in NorCal? Water world, Great America, couple other small places here n there? The wait was ~20 minutes average on a slow Friday so I can imagine the grueling wait it could have been on a busy Saturday. Like any other amusement park. Bombs Away however had no wait lol… not sure if the majority were just scared but this was the most fun for me! You step into this capsule that closes, then the floor opens up and you free fall for 1 – 2 seconds before shooting down a pipe at good speed!
Last note, bring flip flops or something to walk from ride to ride. There are shoe cubbies at the entrance of each ride. We walked barefooted the whole day and I can imagine someone with more sensitive feet than mine would feel like their soles were beaten with a sandpaper covered baseball bat.

Not perfect. Could be way better. But we still had fun and made the best of it.
Lazy river is more like walk the river… Buy some more inflatables for us–
Next time I would set up away from lake. Towards the back end of park.
I read a lot of reviews saying the bringing in food was not even allowed so we didn’t even try. I wish we had cause the food was gross and I saw others with homemade food.
Over all it was fun and will go back. Just don’t expect a big water park. Overall it’s not that big so a few hours will do if you have a pass. Parking is cash only as many other food places too.

Bought costco tickets for $ 24.99 a person. The parking was $ 10, and it was a far walk from the entrance. In addition, there were massive lines on all rides. I only went to the shark, barracuda, and bomb drop rides. Each ride had a wait about 45 min, the bomb drop was probably less like 25−30min. The rides were super fast, but kids and waiting for the floaters took a long time. The wave pool was kinda cool, but hella dirty. I drank some of the water, not cool at all.
Lockers were $ 12 and the bathrooms were super dirty and gross. I don’t know if this place is that great, but I do like Sunsplash more. I heard the raging waters in socal was much better.

Yikes. How can you make a water park sad?! Don’t be sad, be glad. This place needs better management and people who don’t hate the public. I saw one worker roll her eyes repeatedly, another one said out loud «I hate this» about her job… in front of a line full of people waiting to go down the «Bombs Away».
A four way slide for racing and they let one person go down at a time. It’s a race against your imagination! Ha, ha.
The lines weren’t really that long for a Saturday in July… seriously, not even ½ way down the stairs… but I waited in line for one hour each ride. I went down three slides in 3.5 hours. Luckily I’m an adult so I understand that sometimes things suck, but kids still think everything is wonderful and fun and everybody wants them to have fun… so make it fun darn it.
Take your kids elsewhere. Even a booger fest like Chuckie Cheese would be more fun.

this is a pretty cool place for the kids. Lots of waterslide options and pools. The reason they only get two stars is because of their seating accommodations. I paid $ 80 for myself and two boys. I had to lay on a towel on the floor the entire time I tanned. All around me were lounge chairs with peoples belongings. Half the taken chairs never had their owners come by once. I was there from 12 to 4PM and the people around me were using their chairs as storage for their shoes. This is very unfair! I think my admission should have at least came with a place to sit. Management should walk around and be vigilant of all the chairs being used for storage.
Signs should be posted advising visitors, if they are not using the chairs to ‘sit’ to please put their belongings on the floor with their shoes where they belong.

Me and my friends visited Raging Waters, San Jose on regular weekend. It was our first time at this park.
Price: We got the Groupon at discounted price and it was very easy to redeem. Lockers are reasonably priced with the Jumbo ones going for $ 20 (that’s the one we got) which was big enough to fit clothes, shoes, phones for 4 of us.
Slides: There are not many slides at this park. They have ~8 slides of which 3 were not operational so that created long lines at remaining slides. Also, the Never Ending River wasn’t operational for some reason.
Food: As you might be aware of, the food wasn’t that good and there are few options. We had Subway which was twice as expensive as Sunway’s in the city.

Two stars if you have school ages children, one star if you don’t! Arrive early if you want a park in the first car park (10.30am-11am)
Lines are long and don’t move at all sometimes, staff couldn’t care less about you pushing you out of the way to go for there break, food is overpriced and greasy, and the rides are pretty average even after the long wait. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Also, guest services is the place to go if you have a voucher, don’t get stuck in the wrong line!

Can I give no stars?! I took a dozen or so kids to Raging Waters last week, and the lines were so long it took us an hour to get on each slide! Apparently there were a couple hundred kids from a summer camp there, many who cut and ran amuck!
But the worst part was when we waiting in line for over half an hour for Shot Gun, just to get to the front of the line and be told the slide will be closed for he next half hour. The kids were so bummed!!! I found a supervisor and asked what was going on, and he told me that they close once or twice a day for chemical testing. While I appreciate the safety measures, why couldn’t they have scheduled a time and blocked off the ride at a certain point, only letting the remaining people on? When I asked the manager about this he told me «it’s just how we do things.» I asked for a fast past equivalent for another slide and was told no. He didn’t even apologize when I told him we wasted half an hour!!!
Needless to say, next time we will find another park!!!

It my sons 2^nd birthday. 1week in advance I called to plan his birthday at this water park. Talk to a lady who said that the cabana includes 6 people. So she sold me a cabana and a birthday cake package. Your talking 3 – 4 hundred dollars for 6 people. Here come Saturday; its not clear what line to make, we Waite half in hour to figure out were in the wrong line. Then we finally pickup the cabana bracelets, to then make another line; when they then tell us we can’t get in becuase we don’t have tickets. That even thought I purchase a cabana and a birthday package, that it didn’t include entry to the park. One word Ridiculous! I was so embarrassed that I wasn’t going to tell my family lets go; I paid for everyone to get in. So disappointed! Never going back!

Fun water park to visit on hot summer days. We got a cabana near the entrance and it was nice to have our designated spot to come back to and have a server to come take our orders and serve us food.
We had asked for 2 extra chairs for our cabana, literally like 6 times and we still never got our extra chairs which was annoying.
Slides, wave pool, kiddie pools etc. were all really fun and they have a good variety for the big kids and the babies.
Food is okay, greasy, salty fries, mediocre amusement park food.

This is a fun place to visit, we do not come here often but since it is not too far down the road from us, we decided to give this place a try.
I was being lazy and rented a cabana, which for me was a great idea. We received a cabana close to the wave pool, which was great because my boys enjoy the wave pool. We had a place where you can have shade and relax, but if you wanted some sun, all we had to do is step outside the cabana and wow sun away. It is not a cheap day, but let me tell you when you see the smiles on your kids, it is well worth every penny.
They need to have more of the employees trained in customer service, as a smile will go a long way. We did not have much issues, other than most of the employees look like they do not want to be there, but I am sure they are more than willing to take the paycheck.

How did I end up at Raging waters?! We promised the roommate’s niece and nephew we were going on a boat and then scrapped the idea. Since they were super excited about water, we ended up at Raging waters.
Honestly, I haven’t been to Raging waters since I was a little girl. And the last time I went to the water slides was during our senior trip in high school. And I didn’t even go on the water slides!
This last time, the only thing I did was walk around the lazy pool and take the kids to the play area and the wave pool. I honestly don’t love water slides, but besides that, Raging waters feels old and dirty. It was a busy Saturday and it was hard finding some lawn space to put down our blankets. There was a lot of what looked like dried poop on the grass. Eeeeewww!
On the bright side, the kids did have fun. I’m not sure how much general admission is when you go straight to the park, but we ended up going to Costco beforehand and buying our passes there. We had a group of 10 adults, a 3 year old, an 18 month & a 6 month old, so we saved quite a bit by buying passes at Costco. So make an extra trip and save some money!

Water parks are fun, and this one’s no exception. Good slides and the kids just love it.
Personally, I’d like it more without these discounts:
–1 star for the pervasive smell of trash and urine
–1 more star for the very inefficient lines that averaged 30 minutes even on the not-​real-​busy day we visited

Whatever you do DO NOT purchase the wave pool LOUNGE cabana.
1. Does not come with beach lounge chairs
2. The area is next to a bathroom
3. The area is on cement
Upon arrival to the wave pool lounge cabana I walked up to an area with 2 small round tables with 4 basic chairs around each one. I said to myself «you have to be kidding me» there wasn’t even lounge chairs to lay on. I purchased this cabana for $ 200. I spoke with the manager who told me this area did NOT come with lounge chairs. I asked for a refund and was answered with «I can’t do that». So needless to say the manager arrived with 2 lounge chairs. Every other cabana looked cozy and had a lot more privacy then this huge open space area next to a bathroom that was shared by strangers who put there free lounge chairs under our shaded cabana that we purchased just outside the roped off area. As I looked to the right I wish we just had brought a blanket and was on the grass area and saved the money .
I don’t have a problem spending a large dollar amount on entertainment at all but, this was definitely a horrible purchase.
