This is my first time coming here. I was welcomed with big smiles and friendly workers. Richard took care of my car for an oil change. He was able to accommodate me ASAP which was very nice of him to do since I didn’t make an appointment or anything beforehand. If you come here I highly recommend you to go to Richard! He’s funny and super nice! The service here is great!

This is my spot! No matter what I need done these guys get it done and fast! They also price match and they are super nice. They always want to make sure they’re giving you superb service. I never leave with anything less. Only place I go for servicing my vehicles.

I came in here to get an oil change during my lunch break. First thing I noticed was that the guys working here are so friendly! I usually get my oil changed elsewhere and while they’re polite they seem to either hate their job or they’re constantly tired. Here it’s totally different and very welcoming.
Ricky was all smiles, very cordial and didn’t try to upsell me on anything. He only gave his recommendations and I never felt pressured. After dropping off my car I went to walk around Santana Row to pass time.
I came back and my car still wasn’t ready yet. Luckily, I wasn’t in a time crunch so I waited a bit longer. Ricky apologized for the wait and assured me it would only be a few more minutes. After about 15 minutes later my car was done and good to go. He changed out a filter, inflated my tires, and worked his magic. I actually felt a difference driving my car out of the lot.
Overall I totally recommend this place and will definitely be coming back. They don’t just do oil changes and smog, they work on every mechanical aspect of your car.

Came in to get an oil change, as well as, fix my air conditioner for my car. LOVE LOVE LOVE the place just because of its location. I just walked down to Santana Row and did some shopping. The gentleman in the beginning gave me a quote on how much it was. $ 116.00 for the oil change and to do an exam on the air conditioner. I said that was fine. I only took away a star because they told me that it was going to be an hour service, I was shopping for 2.5 hours.
They finally called me then another gentleman quoted me for $ 168.00. (I have absolutely no clue about pricing cars) But the first gentleman that helped me, defended me in a way and said since they did not call me and let me know that there was no up-​charge, then we can not charge her more. So I ended up paying the original $ 116.00. He also threw in that he did the labor for free.
Not sure if it was a scam to just make them seems like i was getting lots of discount, but I walked away a happy customer! Prost to the guy who defended me!

I read the reviews on Unilocal & decided to go to this place to check my car & service it.
Rich welcomed me & I told him what I think I may need, he said you may not need all you say, let me check & if there is any further needs will call you! He offered me $ 10 off my service making me feel even more welcome! Unlike those service shop when they see a clueless girl walks in jack up everything, Rich didnt which I really appreciate it.
There was a few needed changed he called me & took care of it & made recommendations on further changes that my car needs! Again not like other mechanic places that scare you that if you dont do the service right then he kindly gave me duration of whats the remaining life in my battery!
He has my business from now on!

I recently moved to the area and needed an oil change. I called a couple other shops first, but none answered their phone. Quality Tune-​Up answered and let me know I could stop in anytime that afternoon without an appointment.
When I arrived the wait was a bit long because there were several other cars having similar services performed. No big deal — that’s to be expected when you don’t have an appointment. My family and I took the time to walk across the street to Santana Row and grab a late lunch.
After we got back, one of the technicians, Rich, offered to change my air filter. This, along with a tire rotation, is something I wanted done anyway, but I didn’t originally ask for. Either way, Rich didn’t make me feel pressured at all to have the additional services performed. He was very willing to perform the tire rotation as well. I thought the cost was extremely reasonable too.
I was weary about going to any shop — unsure about the staff and level of service that I would get, since I don’t know too many people in the area to ask their opinion — but Mike and Rich were awesome, and gained my trust. Rich was even kind enough to spend a little extra time removing my Pennsylvania inspection stickers from my windshield that I no longer needed.
I’ll definitely return to this shop for any future maintenance.

I went there for an oil change. The guy said he’d take 40 – 45 minutes, which was all the time I had on this particular occasion. I was willing to come back another time had the wait been any longer but they said they’d do it.
After leaving my car in their lot, I trekked over to Santana Row for some coffee and returned about an hour later only to discover that they hadn’t begun working on my car at all. They said «I was going to be next,» which is exactly what they’d said an hour earlier. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wait any longer as I had an appointment to keep so I drove away without the oil change. I was very disappointed that they didn’t stick to the timeframe they themselves quoted me. Wasted an hour. Ugh!

I have been a loyal customer for over ten years now and honestly I cannot choose enough good words to describe this team. Not even one single bad experience in all these years and they took amazing care of my old Mercedes. They know me by my first name, and I never wasted my money here. Richard and Mike are like angels… very personable, friendly, knowledgable and did I say affordable? They are always looking to help out and save you money regardless of your financial situation. They provide excellent customer service every day and will take care of you and your car without a question. I don’t know of any other place in the area like this shop and would love to give them ten stars if I could. I am extremely happy with this place and I highly recommend them!

Came in for an oil change. I believe Rich is the name of the person who helped me. He was great and quoted me $ 30 less then other oil change places in the area.
He told me it would be an hour, but called me 20 minutes later to let me know all was done. Wow! Nice work.
They are not pushy here, and I felt like I could trust them. I will be back for my breaks when they are due for a change.

Fast and affordable. I went in as a walk in and the main guy there was working on a car but finished quick then got mine done within 20min. Oil change $ 25. I did take my own filter as well.

TOP KNOTCH SERVICE! Rich and his workers are completely understanding of the customer and always give the best price. They are down to earth and super friendly, I don’t know why I waited this long to finally come here.
If I could, i would give them 6 stars. They changed my intake and gave me a smog all within the hour. Super fast service and there was no doubt in my mind anything bad would happen.
I came in without an appointment, and they accomodated my every need!

Two years later… They’re better than ever. I brought my car in, without an appointment, because it was leaking water like crazy. It turned out I needed the water pump replaced. They did it that day, even though it would take a long time, due to the fact I couldn’t be without my car. The shop closes at 6pm but they kept working even after closing time so I could have my car fixed that day.
Rich, who worked on my car, is one of the hardest working mechanics around. Being an excellent mechanic is important, which he is, but friendliness goes a long way with me as well. They are courteous and patient with everyone.
I didn’t have a coupon this time but what they charged me was so reasonable, it felt like I did have one. Many shops are in industrial areas where there’s nothing around for miles. This shop is directly across the street from Santana Row, so hanging out at Santana Row or walking over to Valley Fair makes waiting for your car to be fixed a pleasure.
Everyone should check this place out. You will be very happy if you did.

Stay the eff away from this place. This has to be the single worst auto repair facility I’ve ever dealt with.
I will admit my van is old enough to give an archeologist an orgasm. It is the last thing I have left of a person who was like a father to me. He passed away in 2008. That’s why I can’t bring myself to Old Yeller the sucker yet. It’d make his death feel final. I’m not ready for that just yet.
I’m pretty car savvy. I’ve been doing the repair work on it myself for the last 4 years but we moved into a new apartment and it’s against the lease. I knew the fuel pump was emitting noises that signified it as terminal but I was planning to hunt down a pump at a decent price and pop over to Sears with the part like I always do. The blasted thing had other ideas and let loose its death rattle in the driveway.
Since getting it towed to Sears was likely to cost signing over my first born, I looked for a closer location that could get to it within the next day. This place said they could. It just went downhill from there.
The moment I walked in they talked to me in the most condescending manner — like I was a bleeding toddler! They would only talk to my husband (who knows as much about cars as goose knows about God) and refused to listen to a word that came out of my mouth. Multiple times they asked a question about the car and wouldn’t accept MY answer until it came out of HIS mouth. The van was already there and the tow truck had left. I was stuck with them.
Despite promising to get to it within the next day, they didn’t go near it for three days. It took a week to for me to get it back.
They tried to cornhole me on the price of the part. No fuel pump costs $ 850 for the part alone. The cost of the pump plus labor wouldn’t cost that much. They’re $ 300 MAX. I had to go back with multiple quotes and threaten to go buy the part myself before it got down to a more reasonable $ 260.
I had also asked them to replace a fuel fill valve while they were at it. I was repeatedly told «you don’t need one, honey» even though I was standing in front of the fool holding the broken part. Needless to say, it wasn’t replaced until I took it to Sears.
Vacuum hoses are in the engine. You didn’t need to replace them with the fuel pump. You probably never even looked at them. Nice try, Skippy.
I had to have my husband call to get a pick up time because they wouldn’t give a solid answer. He was the one to go get the van and pay. That was probably for the best as I already wanted to clobber one of them at this point.
I wouldn’t go near this place again if THEY paid ME. If you have any sense, you won’t either.

We had a problem with brakes on our Subaru and our usual Subaru dealership told us that they could look at it in 2 weeks! That would mean being without a car for 2 weeks.
My father in law recommended Quality Tune-​Up at Winchester and they fixed the brakes straight away (both brake rotors needed replacement, so no easy task). I could not be happier — great service, great work and I think the whole repair was cheaper that if we drove the car to the dealership.

Came in on short notice about an hour and a half before closing time and was able to just drop my car off for an oil change. Walked to Flames right across the street and had dessert and coffee and by the time we were done with that they called saying my car was finished.
Fast and friendly service and got the job done very quickly! They have coupons in pennysavers I believe for $ 23 oil changes.
And for me they didn’t do what most other places do and try to tell you that your car needs more work so you spend more money. They didn’t mention any other work I needed. Just the Oil change.

I really felt that I did not receive adequate service at this Quality Tune Up. I took my Oldsmobile Alero here for an oil change on Saturday and found a coupon that also included tire rotation. We were in the area so I figured I’d pick a less expensive place than what is available where I live. Quality Tune Up told us the job would be done in about an hour but it ended up being wayyyy longer than that… which was fine I guess. But after changing my oil Rich did not know how to turn off the «Change Oil» light. Okay, fine that he had to ask. I started wondering if this place really knows how to work on an Alero though if they don’t know the basic stuff. Still I figured everything was fine since Rich got the light off with some help.
So anyway, we leave as they are getting ready to close (because like I said they took longer on our car than expected) and 5 minutes onto the road the «Low Tire Pressure» light comes on and starts dinging away. I called back and no one would answer the phone at first, however, I kept trying since I knew the employees still had to be there. I’m not sure who answered the phone when they finally picked up but the service was pretty rude from here on out. :(
I explained the «Low Tire Pressure» light came on 5 minutes after we left and that it had not been on before they rotated my tires/​worked on the tire pressure. The man on the phone told me they didn’t do anything with the pressure as I was holding a checklist they gave me that said they had indeed messed with the tire pressure. He was contradicting a form Quality Tune Up gave me! Very strange. The person on the phone was less than helpful and he told me I should take my car to «a tire place». WHAT?! You guys JUST worked on my car 10 minutes ago or less… I would think it would be common courtesy to ask us if we’d like to stop back for a few minutes so Quality Tune Up could take a look and fix whatever happened. You know, make sure it’s safe to drive and everything? Nope.
I began getting angry because I didn’t want to leave this auto shop with more problems than I started out with! The man on the phone finally told me I could come in on Monday and he’d take a look. He told me, «Maybe some air escaped out of the schrader valve?» but he seemed to have no idea why the light was on. They were still there. I still don’t see why someone couldn’t check our car out for 5 minutes and make sure the tire pressure was okay and that it was safe to drive. We live an hour away (or longer during pumpkin season due to increased traffic) and were worried about driving on the 92. I explained that we lived in Half Moon Bay and he told me I could bring it on Monday. Not Sunday when they were open the next day. Monday? Um, most people work on Monday and we live an hour away. No thank you! And no thank you to future service that we would’ve come back for if the experience had been better.
We were hoping to find a good place but the reviews were really off on this one… Super disappointed.

I came here needing an oil change and smog. I choose this location due to Unilocal reviews and a coupon that came to my house. I called in the morning to make an appointment and they said no appointment needed, just to come in. I even clarified that I wouldn’t be able to make it until 4:30pm due to work and they close at 6pm. Rich said it would be no problem.
The location is literally at a 76 station so it can be a little hard to miss. It is located across the way from Santana Row so killing time is easy. Rich took down my information, gave me a quote and told me that my car would be ready in about an hour. I left and got a call promptly one hour later. Rich asked if I would like to add some power steering fluid and when I said I would be able to take care of it, there was no trying to sell me on it or annoyance in his voice, just «okay sounds good!». I really appreciate service like this because my experience at other places have been super unpleasant and very pushy.
Prices were fair, I paid and was on my way. Rich has superior customer service and I will gladly return.
