Project HIRED is a completely free program for individuals with disabilities who are looking to take the next step in their career search. We offer an array of job development and placement, training, and employment services designed to promote self-​sufficiency and independence, remove barriers, create opportunities and help job seekers with disabilities build successful careers.

History

Established in 1978.

Project HIRED maintains a single vision: to be a significant force for the employment of individuals with disabilities until the need no longer exists. Since 1978, we have done this by responding to emerging social, cultural, and economic needs and opportunities with programs and services that support our job seeking clients as well as our corporate partners.

Our clients represent a diverse spectrum of abilities – and we are committed to serving each one with services, programs, and support uniquely tailored to their needs.

Manager

Sharon A. Winston was appointed as Project HIRED“s Chief Executive Officer in 2014. Winston previously served Project HIRED as a volunteer for over twenty years, including six years of leadership as board chair. As a highly regarded professional in the human capital management arena, Winston brings with her a wealth of knowledge and dedication that will undoubtedly change the dynamics within Project HIRED. During her volunteer tenure at the organization, Winston has provided her expertise as a career counselor, trainer, board member, event chair, fundraiser and business adviser.
