I’m in process of having MRIs with Première. I haven’t yet been in the building and I am already having issues. I was told by my doctor that I would be referred to Première for MRIs due to a car accident I had. I was not contacted after waiting for twelve days, so I called. At that time, they had not processed my paperwork or had my referral approved. They were waiting to do that, but no reason was given as to why. I asked if they could do it then and there, since I had pain and needed treatment. They somehow did what they couldn’t do in those twelve days, so I was thankful. I was told that I still had to wait for an appointment until a couple of weeks. I said no and told them I was told I needed to be seen soon, since my physical therapy and such could not happen until the MRIs were completed. So then they were able to fit me in somehow, again not without me pushing the issue. The day before my appointment I was called and told to bring over 500.00 to pay for my deductible, my share of cost and it had to be in cash. I said that I thought that I had already met my deductible. I asked for an explanation of this and insisted three times and finally she said that I could bring what was my share of cost and pay the rest by payments. I still wanted to know why they were not going to bill me first, so she talked to her manager. She came back and told me that I didn’t have to bring any money after all. What a difference from the initial conversation. I felt apprehensive and called my insurance’s member services. The rep told me that they cannot deny services if I am insured due to payment. I confirmed that my deductible was met and that Première does need to bill first to come up with an amount. So, I am not happy about how Première presented me with a demand for cash service payment, and it’s fair to say a lot of trust has been lost upfront. I hope that the services will make up for the shake down.

Horrible service and unorganized.
If you tell a patient with a hurt leg to come back the next day to pick up a receipt, it better be ready. If it’s not, common courtesy is to call the client to let them know that it cannot be processed at the moment. At least give an apology for that. Everyone’s time is valuable, not just yours. Not coming back again. Going back to Valley Radiology.

To update from my last review.
I spoke with my doctor’s office and they called Premier Scan. A couple of days later I received a call from Anthony at Premier Scan. He apologized for the receptionist’s rude behavior and said he would contact my insurance company and call me back to schedule an appointment once he’s given the OK. A few days after an appointment was made and when I showed up for my scan, the staff were very friendly. Maria was my technician and she made sure I was comfortable during my stay. Despite the terrible first phone contact I had with Premier Scan, they deserve a update of a good review!

Pros: Nice, clean and large lobby/​waiting area.
Cons: Tv was off and waited 50 minutes over my scheduled appointment.

Don’t miss an appointment. Will have a bad episode if your car breaks down and other life complications. My advice, get a cab and race over there. Might be charged extra for $ 50 when the actual invoice is…

This place has given me reason the doubt the credibility of Unilocal.As we walk into the office I noticed it had a really nice and comfortable waiting area. Nicely decorated. And, I saw that Unilocal sticker and thought «interesting I didn’t think places like this get stickers but cool» and as we approached the receptionist from that point on it was all down hill. My mom is a jolly looking old Asian lady. I don’t understand why the receptionist was rude from the first second. We were sent there by my Mom’s doctor and I guess they don’t accept our insurance. The rudeling (rude person) just flatly told us it won’t work with them. She didn’t help or offer us any suggestions. So my mom called her doctor to see what do to. And the doctor said just pay first she will be reimbursed. So we paid the fee $ 150 for a few x-​rays upfront. She could have easily told us that and gotten her practice some business. AS A EMPLOYER, SHE IS NO GOOD FOR YOUR BUSINESS. if it weren’t for US CALLING OUR DOCTOR we would have just left and they would have lost that business.
And then I thought maybe it’s just her. But no, it seems the whole place is run by miserable people intent on making people feeling bad. My mom said the x-​ray guy made her feel even worse with his impatience to understanding him. The guy talked way too fast for her to understand and my mom was given rude attitude for his errors. The dialogue that went on between them is an embarrassment to the business.
Take off that Unilocal sticker.

I’ve been here twice in the last year; once for X-​rays and once for an MRI. To be honest, I’ve actually gotten really frustrated and annoyed over my experiences with this office, but today’s visit (10÷27÷14) was so great that I am glad I stuck with this place despite all the hiccups.
This is largely due to my lab technician today (10:30am). I forgot to get his name but he was awesome! He was kind, courteous, and explained things in a really easy-​to-​follow manner. I can’t remember the last time I received such amazing service. PremiereScan is lucky to have him representing their company.
The receptionist that greeted me today was also pretty nice. I think she’s also the one who booked my MRI appointments … and cancelled the first one 5 minutes before it was scheduled –_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​– but I don’t hold it against her because I know it was for the most part, out of her control. There was some miscommunication on both ends and not all the paperwork was ready so they had to cancel my appointment. I understand the legal issues, but I only wish they had checked up on that and let me know before the date of the appointment. I drove almost an hour in bumper to bumper traffic that morning and was down the street when I got their call cancelling the appointment. More than a 5 minute notice would have been nice.
Prior to booking the initial appointment for an MRI, I left a written inquiry through their website because my situation is a little confusing and I wanted to give the staff time to look into it before getting back to me. Plus sometimes it’s hard for receptionists to answer your questions on the phone when they have a million other things going on and if they are not trained on or familiar with the circumstance. I got a voicemail from a manager almost immediately after sending my inquiry. He was also super personable and his response made me feel comfortable in booking my appointment. However, I think he may have oversimplified the process because the reason for the cancellation was never mentioned to me. Thus my frustration. But the office took the necessary steps to get the paperwork and I got another voicemail a couple of days later saying they were ready to book another appointment with me.
The appointment booking process was more straightforward for my X-​rays, but I just got unlucky and had my appointment on a day when one of their machines had an issue and needed to be restarted. This really put them behind schedule and I wasn’t seen until over an hour after my appointment time. Things happen, it’s understandable. A female manager apologized to all the waiting patients about an hour into my wait and offered us $ 5 Starbucks giftcards, which was a nice gesture.
I’ve definitely had some weird/​annoying experiences with PremiereScan, but I think they have a few very good people on their team (especially my lab tech from today!) that makes it hard to hate them. I would just be more proactive in the future.

On the day of my MRI, I came in about an hour early since I overestimated the time for traffic and such. I was pretty much ready to wait for an hour with my mom but they were able to get me in after 20 minutes of waiting. The place was really clean and well lit with a tv to keep mom busy for a while (and a lot of magazines laid out neatly). One thing I was a little worried about was that the waiting area was really cold and I didn’t like leaving my mom there for too long despite her saying that it was ok.
They were really kind and courteous about everything, including inspecting if I had anything with metal on me (since I was only getting a shoulder MRI). My stuff was locked in a little locker and a key was given to me to leave in the MRI room while I was in it. I was a hesitant about putting my ring down but the lady was really nice and assured me that nothing will happen to it, telling me that she’ll personally keep an eye on the locker. I was tucked in all snuggly and the blanket was really comfortable (I kind of want one for myself now). MRI went as I imagine and I even fell asleep in it for a bit.
Overall, I had a really good experience here.

This place is HORRIBLE. This was my second time coming in. The first time wasn’t a bad experience (obviously why I came in for the second time) The front desk staff the second time around was rude and so unprofessional. I believe her name was VADIE this time. They did have nicer staff the last time I was there a few months ago that was professional and did not get rude and loud with me. They really need to evaluate their poor judgment of staff.
I would recommend everyone to go else where and stay away from this place.

Terrible service at the counter and extortion as a company policy.
On the day of my MRI I came 10 minutes before to the appointment time (as asked), filled out the paperwork and then waited for another 20 minutes for service. Just as I was called for an MRI the clerk at the counter demanded a payment of 20% of their chargers upfront. None of the paperwork I signed said that a patient agrees to pay anything before a claim is processed by the insurance, which determines the out-​of-​pocket responsibility. Since my co-​payment amount may vary depending weather I had reached the limit of my-​out-​pocket expenses, I objected and ask to talk for a manager.
Five minutes later the office manager, Brittney showed up. She was very rude and immediately accused me of not settling my previous bill. When I said that I had never received a bill from them Brittney said that they just received a statement form my insurance. It was not true — the insurance claim was processed 3 months ago. She told me that if I do not to pay 20% upfront they would not perform an MRI, take in the next patient and I would have to reschedule my appointment. Having spent the time already and in need of MRI I submitted to this extortion and paid.
Later I talked to the office Operations Manager about my experience. He did apologize but still affirmed that Brittany was following the protocols he established and tried to shift the blame on insurance.
There is not much to the MRI service — the machine does all the work. Next time I will go somewhere else where the policies match the paperwork and patients are treated with respect.

I did x-​ray for my ankle there on 4÷25÷12 and the service was very good.

Went there for a DEXA body composition measurement. Leslie at the front-​desk was great. Down hill pretty quickly from there. As background I get these measurements done frequently at Body Composition Center in Redwood City so I am quite familiar with the process and the reports. First they were 15 minutes late. I came in 15 minutes early to take care of any paperwork. When I was finally brought in I had the impression they did not take these measurements seriously. First the scanner head is located at the wrong end of the table so you waste time waiting for it to move for setup after I am on the table. This could have been done before I was there. Next they had me put a pillow under my head. A pillow is not to be used as it interferes with the accuracy of the measurements. Next it is standard and recommended that your ankles are tied together with a velco strap to reduce movement. Premier doesn’t. Finally as the study was initiated I realized I was still wearing my metal framed eyeglass. Metal being hit by ionizing radiation is not a good idea especially near your brain. I handed my glasses to the operator. Checking for metal is the first thing she should do and didn’t. It is noteworthy that the operator was in the room next to the device for the entire scan. Though the particular device is pretty low radiation this sounds like an suboptimal practice for someone who runs the machine all day. Finally when all done she could not print off the report for technical reasons. I attempted to be tolerant and suggested she bring up the pages of the report on the computer screen and I would copy the data I needed. She could only get 2 of the 5 pages to display and therefore a key piece of data was not available. At that point I gave up. They did cancel my charges without objection. However their lack of best practices and safety concern is enough for me to avoid this place.

Sounds like bad reviews come from incompetent employees and billing issues, it happens, completely understandable but from my 2 visits here (albeit, personal injury related so I don’t deal with billing) I received excellent service, worked with warm people, and even a sorry that I had to wait for the films bc my doctor asked for it. No need to say sorry but I appreciated the concern and thoughts. Their website answers a lot of «FAQ» but it never hurts to call. The receptionist that I called (because I left my referral at home but was too late to go back home), didn’t lead me on to think I was an idiot or lazy… thankfully they had a copy already. Plus, the Starbucks across the street is great to wait at, and if you need to drop off some leather repairs, Master Cobbler is next door haha.

Nice friendly staff. Convenient location. Comfortable waiting room. Yesterday the CT scanner had went down and they weren’t able to bring it back up after several tries. The manager took great care to insure I was satisfied and I was able to get rescheduled quickly. This organization has a great devotion to customer service.

My child had an MRI scan here in November. The receiptionist scheduled us in at once when I called and she was patient with me. She even told me about their discount for Christmas, where if I bring in 5 cans of food, I will get a 20% discount off my bill. The receiptionist and the technicians are very nice, and the place is very clean and comfortable. At the end, she gave my son a $ 5 Starbucks card for doing well and did not mention or ask me to Unilocal about them. She also gave me the CD for the scan after only about a 10 mins wait.
However, they do not provide the CD images to the Dr. The Dr only gets a fax of the result after the radiologist looks at the images. Our Dr. did comment that this particular radiologist often «read into things» more, and that he always recommend his patients to do a more indepth MRI (it includes an IV), sorry I forgot the name. So my Dr said that though my co-​payment for the 1^st MRI is low, the recommendation to do another test makes up for the cost for one MRI at another place. My Dr said that in our case, we should wait another 6 months and do the MRI again at another place.
Billing — remember I mentioned the discount? I got an invoice for that exact disount. When I called they said that the amount has been since written off. They did not send me another invoice saying that it was written off, I will just assume that everything is now fine.

First off, I have to say, after reading reviews of PremiereScan and walking in today, I think there must be new front desk staff. The two women up front were very sweet, friendly and knowledgable.
Second, I went in for a routine ultrasound and Rika was extremely friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. My lil Porkchop was dancing all about then decided to flip around, she let me hop off the table and walk and stretch in hopes he’d flip back so we could get better pictures. She was personable, and made me feel like I wasn’t just another silly pregnant woman.
Third, they have there own parking lot, the lobby is very spacious and cozy.

I haven’t been to this facility but I would just echo what another reviewer said about the front desk rep being clueless. I spoke to her (think her name is Britney) on the phone and asked if PremiereScan offered MRI images in 3T resolution, which is what my doctor prefers. She said yes and gave me a price estimate for my insurance. I wondered why the price was so low. So I called back and to double check. Someone else answered the phone and she told me that their MRI machines only go up to 1.5T. I can get 1.5T MRI images right in my neighborhood. The only reason I would’ve made my way down to San Jose was for the 3T images. Thank goodness I found out that PremiereScan does not have 3T before schlepping all the way down there.
I have no idea whether this facility’s equipment and technicians are top notch, but if you’re going to go, just make sure you double and triple check on any information that Britney gives you because she has no clue what she’s talking about.
Also, when Britney first gave me my insurance quote, her Internet was down and so all she could do was give me a range. I asked her to call me back when her Internet connection was back up to give me a more definitive number. She said okay but never got back to me. So much for trying to make it easier for customers to choose PremiereScan.

I scheduled an ultrasound at PremiereScan on May 2^nd. When I called to make my appointment I asked the woman on the phone if there was anything I needed to do, prep wise, before coming in. She told me «nope, no prep involved, just come in».
On the day of my ultrasound I went into the office, filled out the paperwork and was asked for payment upfront. Seeing as this was their policy, I gave them my credit card. The technician and staff seemed very friendly and I felt comfortable there.
A few days later I got a very disturbing call from my doctor saying that the test noted that I «may have a narrowing artery» and I needed to see a cardiologist ASAP. Being 27 years old, I was completely freaked out. When I met with the cardiologist he took one look at me and one look at the test from PremiereScan and said «you’re too young to be in here» and «there seems to be an issue with this test». Basically, he told me that the test suggested that I COULD have a narrowing artery, but it is not certain because the test could not be read. GREAT, well what does that mean? The doctor asked «Did they give you any prep before your ultrasound?» I immediately became irritated at his question because I knew that I had specifically asked the woman at PremiereScan before my appointment if there was anything I needed to do in preparation for the exam. I told him «no», and he smiled and said that before I was to be any more alarmed, I needed to get another ultrasound, in his facility, before we even talk about me having a narrowing artery.
So, two weeks later, I had my second ultrasound (including PREP of no eating or drinking for 8 hours BEFORE my exam) and everything came out normal, but not without a few weeks of panic and hardly any sleep sleep due to the thought of a possible «narrowing artery»! Thank the lord everything turned out to be ok.
I called PremiereScan and explained to them that whoever scheduled my appointment gave me no prep and because of that I had to pay for a second ultrasound. After about a month of them «investigating» my «case», I was issued a refund that just came in this morning, July 6^th.
If you do choose to schedule anything with PremiereScan, please be sure to DOUBLE check if you have any prep before your exams (maybe even ask your referring doctor just to cover your bases) or you might have to end up getting a second exam elsewhere.

I have had 2 MRI’s taken here. After billing my insurance $ 500 dollars, it seems that a personal copy of my medical records should be free. (my copay was already $ 100, and since I know cdroms are basically free, why should they charge anything.)
1^st MRI was great people with seemed interested in their job. They answered questions and gave clear instructions.
2^nd MRI was indifferent. No was explanation given.
consider this 2 reviews, one with 5 stars fist mri, and one with 1 star 2^nd MRI.
Also this is an area where there might be some price comparison savings. Call a few other MRI place and check them out.

Went here to get x-​rays for a follow-​up appointment for my broken leg. Staff (both reception and medical) are courteous and professional. I was informed accurately of the wait time and given a time I could come back such that I would not have to wait.
Images were taken well and one can get a personal copy of their x-​rays on either film or CD for just $ 15 (and they take credit card, which is awesome!)
