If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Lisa saved me from the whack coloring that I got from the not-​so-​friendly Vietnamese salon next door. Not only did she correct the color and placement (is that what you call it? She erased the zebra stripes the other lady gave me), but she took me in the same day I called. She must have realized the seriousness of my situation, and took pity on me. She also corrected my cut. Everything is on point now. Thank you, Lisa! Best salon on the east side.
PS. My son also has his haircuts with Robert and he is amazing.

I went to the salon last Tuesday and made an appt w/​Nicol for March. The next day I was informed that they had a cancellation and could fit me in on Thursday. I was so excited and ready to transformed my hair. Nicol was super friendly and knowledgeable. She fixed my color to the balayage that I wanted. She took her time to explain things and I LOVE how my hair turned out. She loves what she does and her work definitely shows that. Thank you so much Nicole

Nicol was fully booked until february, but she took me in on saturday. I like how my hair turned out, I got an ombré so I wish it was lighter near the bottom. Anyway I’ll be coming back if I want to get my hair re-​dyed.

Normally get great haircuts here. The only issue is i always have to wait even though i have an appointment

I have gone to precision cutz for a while now. For the last 6 — 12 months everyone I set an appointment the barber is never ready on time. This last time it was over 30 minutes of waiting. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. If this happened maybe once or twice every now and then it wouldn’t be as big of a deal. However every time I set an appointment here it is late by over 20+ minutes. If your barbers can’t keep up with the demand or the length of haircuts than simply extend your appointment times. Why would you cram 30 minute appointments when your barbers clearly can’t handle that. It’s not cool that you waste your clients time just so you maximize profit. Think about the customer experience first, then the profit margin. Otherwise you will slowly start to lose loyal clientele like myself. Get it together.

I was trying to book an appointment here for awhile but kept having schedule conflicts. Called spontaneously on a Saturday morning and was able to get an appointment for the same day! Shay (name may be spelled wrong) was my stylist and she was awesome! Gave me a great A-​line cut within about 50 minutes. I will be back in a few months!

Nicol is amazing! She does such great cuts! She was recommended by a friend who always has such vibrant color so I plan on one day coming back for that too. What I love is that she solely works on one client at a time. She isn’t flip flopping between multiples so you get in and out quickly. I brought my two month old in afraid he’d cry up a storm but she and the rest of the salon were so friendly and accommodating that it was a non issue.
I would highly recommend Nicol!

This review is for Sooki. I booked an appointment yesterday and it was my first time coming to this salon. I came in this morning around 11:30am, was greeted by the receptionist, and was seated right away. A little background: my hair is colored from a previous balayage so it was pretty brittle and dry prior to my haircut. Also, it was down to my lower back which was getting annoying from the heaviness. Thankfully, Sooki fixed that. I basically told her I wanted a trim, just an inch and a half since I’m not ready to let go of the length. I mostly wanted the dead ends off, and for the rest of my shorter layers to start meeting my longer ones. Sooki did exactly what I wanted and more. She noticed that the right side of my hairs was slightly longer than the left, fixed it, and continuously checked to see that everything was proportional. She definitely paid attention to detail and took her time which I appreciate. I can’t overlook the way she washed and patiently combed my hair, plus styled it — I got so many compliments at work later that day. Needless to say, I have nothing but good things to say. Now my hair feels 10x lighter, healthier, and full of life and I couldn’t be happier. Definitely coming back :)
PS — Love their oldies playlist. It was pretty hard to sit still and not groove along to the music, lol

We’ve been going to Precision Cutz off and on for the past year and have never been let down. Everyone here is pretty down to earth and super friendly. Although this review is mainly for Danny and his services. Danny has always been friendly, gentle, and super patient with my kid, who has A LOT of energy. His free style designs were so awesome that when I was finally brave enough to get a side cut I decided to go to him to hook me up with my own design. Needless to say, Danny did not disappoint. My son this time got the flash symbol and I got a heartbeat rating thingy this time. I would highly recommend Danny to anyone who needs a clean fade or a design for a special occasion especially with kids who need a gentle touch.

Did a quick search for a barber shop nearby and showed up and they took us right away. Rob was amazing and made my nephew feel at ease. He took his time and asked for approval before making any cuts. Never had such an amazing experience with a barber before! Will definitely be back again!

Nerrie was phenomenal! She did a partial highlight and cut on my hair and am completely satisfied and worth the long appointment date wait. I waited over a month and half for my highlights but totally worth every day waiting. Excellent hair color choice and blending and hair cut precise just like the name. Thank you for a wonderful hairdo Nerrie. Will be back for hair cuts and highlights. Very thorough and makes sure it’s right before starting anything regarding what you want. Let me start off by saying I haven’t had a plain chop (short a-​line bob at the shoulders) that I liked in over ten years. Nicol did a phenomenal job with my problematic hair and didn’t cut it too short. She started at a longer length than I suggested and went shorter after my first look. Smart move! She added some much needed volume and the cherry on top? Her head massages are *splendid*.
Not only does she know what she’s doing, she’s a great person to talk to and the environment in the salon is very low key, down to earth… and they were playing Motown! If you’re looking for an affordable haircut but don’t want to compromise on quality, book an appointment with Nicol! I got really lucky and someone canceled, but she’s booked for months!

This review is for Sooki! I booked her last Aug and have since gotten my hair colored twice by her. She is very knowledgable in what she does and will let you know straight up whether the hair color you want is achievable based on your current hair. Her ombré balayage blends very nicely and seamlessly.
It’s a plus that the salon is now using Olaplex too! She’s really great at what she does and she’s all about quality over quantity when it comes to her clients. She’s very precise on what she does and takes her time with each one, so you’ll never feel like she’s rushing you.

I have been wanting to try this place out but there’s always a waiting list for nicole for balayage/​ombré. I was on instagram and they posted up that Nicole had a last minute opening for a haircut. So what the heck! I was looking to cut off all my dead hair. I called them right away and was scheduled in. Nicole was very professional and she made me feel very comfortable. I can’t wait for may for my balayage/​ombré! I only gave 4 stars because the front desk is very rude. Someone please teach her some manners…

First time here yesterday and I loved it, it’s on the East side of San Jose, I was recommended to this place by a friend and had Shae did my hair and she did an AMAZING job! I don’t let anyone just touch my hair because I’m very particular but I seen her work by a social media and I loved all her work. She knows what she is doing, you might be a little surprised by the price you pay but let me tell you its well worth it and you get what you pay for. My hair is not damaged or looks damage from the bleach, the salon uses good top of the line product. Try her out, this salon seems like everyone there does an amazing job everyone walks out of there looking real good, from men to woman and even kids. I will definitely be recommending this place to anyone.

I have only been here about 3 times being that we are new here we were not sure what to expect but we we’re amazed at the work that was done on my sons head all three times we had a great experience he got his hair cut but Jimmy first and then Danny and man was it great we love it they took their time and made sure to put in the work needed the whole place is very welcoming and very family orientated from the minute you walk in til the time you leave its a lil pricey for a hair cut when my sons hair grows fast but from a mom of 4 I don’t mind paying what’s needed to have my son happy and the amazing job that was done I will definitely be returning

I’ve come to precision cutz a total of three times and all three times it was with Sarah. The first time I came in it was for a ombré correction that another salon completely messed up on. Sarah fixed it within hours and took me as a client in such short notice! (And let me tell you, she’s booked months ahead) I loved my hair when she corrected it! The second time was about six months later. She gave me a dark balayage and again, I loved it. Her blending and colors are something that’s hard to find in a hair stylist. I see way too many messed up ombres around and Sarah makes me feel good knowing I go to one of the best salons to get it done. I recently went back after waiting a few months (since she’s so booked) to get a ombré/​balayage done. It came out so beautiful. She is easy to talk to and really cares about the clients satisfaction. At first it wasn’t quite the tone I wanted and she offered to tone it how I wanted without a problem. Her work is so gorgeous though, that I ended up just leaving it how it is, the tone and color grew on me and now I LOVE it. Once again, she did an amazing job on hair that I love. I will forever be a loyal client. Book ahead though! And expect to wait a while! But it is so worth it girls!
The receptionist is so nice too and the other stylist are friendly as well. The salon is really clean and they just remodeled it. It looks so welcoming and fresh. I love it!

I’ve been to PC about 3 – 4 times and each time my haircuts were beyond expectation. I’m sad to say I won’t be coming back to this establishment anymore. Since PC only take appointments, you’d assume that you would be in and out in no time. Sadly, it was not like that for me. The first couple times I had to wait at least 10 – 15 minutes after my appointed time which is fine, but my last visit was 30 minutes long. If I was a walk-​in customer, I’d totally understand waiting 30minutes-​1hour, but I wasn’t. It seriously felt like I was at the DMV.
After 15 minutes of waiting, the barber said I would be seated soon, but when 30 minutes past, he was working on his customers facial hair.
After waiting 30 minutes, I noticed the other barber finished with his customer and I assumed I would be next since I’ve been waiting so long. That also didn’t happen. Another customer came in and was already seated in 5 minutes (most likely, the other barber was on time with his appointment). That’s was when I decided to leave.
Right after I left, the owner Abdul left a very sincere voice mail apologizing about the incident and offered a free haircut. I responded to him and took his offer. I asked if I can come in the same day I accepted the offer, he said there was no openings but he will see what he can do.
After a couple hours later, he contacts me with a available appointment. At first I accepted, but after he mentioned there might be some delays that day as well, I immediately declined the offer. I mean, how are you going to say their is going to be a delay when this whole incident is based on delays? After I declined, he said if I ever wanted to come back, the offer still stands, which is very nice of him.
My advice for management is to hire Edward Scissor Hands to cut peoples hair faster or schedule your barbers with more time to cut hair.

I live a little bit down the street but never bothered to look upon Precision Cutz to get any services done because it seemed like barbershop for men’s cut. However, I was wrong. I was long overdue for a haircut (once a year) and was hesitant about going to my usual asian lady who charges for cheap yet very unprofessional business (I’ve blowdried my own hair a couple times while she worked on other people at the same time). I was looking for something where I can feel relaxed and pampered with reasonable salon prices which led me to Precision Cutz.
Trust me, I did my research. I have trust issues when it comes to my hair and would drive to a different city for a good stylist. I looked at upscale salons such as Umbrella, Tangerine, Dollhouse, etc but I still wasn’t certain. I wanted someone good, without breaking my bank. I stalked Precisioncutz’s facebook albums, instagram posts, etc and made sure I can trust them with my hair. Their pictures on ombré, balayage, haircuts looked so good. I emailed the contact email to make an appointment and Abdul, the owner, emailed me about 20 minutes later! He told me he would email me the next day to check Nicol’s schedule and he did. I really appreciate his above and beyond customer service, especially his quick response via email.
Nicol was very sweet and easy to talk to. We shared stories from work to our boyfriends. The whole process was long but Nicol made sure I was comfortable. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and how light I wanted to go. I knew it may take many sessions to achieve the color before going in and Nicol also warned me but she said that she will try her best. During the whole process, I did not look in the mirror once. I was scared I might hate the color for it may be brassy or so. After 5 long hours of balayage, hair cut, blowdry and curled hair, I finally looked in the mirror and I loved it! Although it wasn’t closely like the picture, it was exactly what I was hoping for. No brassiness, full and healthy lightened looking hair balayage style. My hair was not the best to fix (dead ends, dry, lots of frizz and tangles) but Nicol did it.
I can’t believe this salon is down the street from my house.
Thanks Precisioncutz, you’ve earned a new client. I just wish I had remembered to show them that I checked in on Unilocal for the $ 10 off which I totally forgot when I paid because I was too excited to show off my hair.
