Avoid this place. Like others, I would give zero stars if I could. Not only do they overcharge on their prices, the service is absolutely horrific. When I entered the store with my package I proceeded to be ignored by the woman working there for at least five minutes because she was texting excessively on her cell. When she finally ‘noticed’ me she acted as if she didn’t have the time, even though I was the only customer there, and even answered a call before I could get any service. Then she proceeded to, no joke, SCOLD me on how I prepared the package while still on the call. I have shipped ebay items countless other times at other PostalAnnex+ and never had a single issue. Yet apparently I am ‘ignorant’ and don’t know a thing. She was excessively rude, talked down to me several times, and overcharged for something that should have been no more than $ 5.

Hands down the worst service… rude rude rude & not helpful overall. Dropping off Zappos orders is a pain, they are aggressive about tracking #‘s. I’ve tried to ship internationally, waaaaaaay overpriced and they were unable to share what their service charge is because it was «buried» in the system. I will drive to the LG location where they are super helpful and easy to work with. It’s so much easier to be nice & helpful. Frankly, I’d rather wait in line (an have gone) to the post office next door where they are kind & helpful. Pass on this terrible, unhelpful place.

Pass on this place if you can! The worst. I went to deliver an Amazon package for return through their UPS service. The woman that greeted me at the front was so rude and intense I told her I’ve made Amazon returns at probably three or four different local places but I thought I’d give them a try. She asked me questions about tracking #‘s and explained her liabilty. I told her other places i use just zap the bar code on the package, give me a receipt, and im on my way. Nope, not this place. When I asked them for a receipt a man, her husband it seemed to me, came out and he was even ruder than she was and told me they don’t give receipts. He referred me to their policy up on a board. So much for a convenient friendly local place to do my mailings. Again pass on this place if you can.

I have gone to this location from time to time including as a notary. Service is not the best but the last time was the last straw. I had to send a package but was unsure of the size that I needed. I went in and found a box that looked like it would work and bought it for around $ 7.50. I specifically asked if this wasn’t the right size, could I return it. I thought she said yes but the accent made her answer not clear. When I went home and realized it wouldn’t work, I was able to find an old box in the garage. Later I went to return the box, they said they would not refund the box, that I had to exchange it. Well, I did not return it at all. She said it is listed at bottom of receipt. I said this is bad customer service and she refused to give the refund. I left with the current box and told her to enjoy the $ 7.50 and left. Obviously they wanted the $ 7.50 more than my future business.

I wish I could give them zero stars.
I called in this morning asking if I could email a document to them for printing. The lady I spoke to gave me their email address and told me it was no problem.
I came in about an hour later, and the person working there was very flustered and rude to all the customers in the store. She kept repeating things like, ‘I don’t have time for all of this” which came off as extremely unprofessional. When I finally got helped, I asked her to print out my document I had previously sent via email and she told me she «couldn’t open up the store’s email because she doesn’t have the password.»
I reminded her that I just spoke to her an hour or two ago and she told me it was no problem. She looked annoyed and told me to pay to use their computer to print it out. I told her I wouldn’t pay to use their computer just because she doesn’t know her own store’s email password. She reluctantly agreed to allow me to sign into my email for free on their computer so that I could open up the document.
When she finally printed out my document, it came out almost entirely blank. I was extremely frustrated and asked her if there was anything at all she could do as I was on a very tight schedule. «Sorry, that’s not my fault,» she said. «You should have made time to print it out instead of waiting to the last minute.»
I had been in the store for 20 minutes at that point and called/​emailed ahead hours before and she has the nerve to tell me it’s my fault because I had «waited until the last minute»? Wow.

Turns out the husband and wife are both notary publics. However one out of town caused a backup of sorts. You pay the CA limit of $ 10, sign, fingerprint and stamped. Pretty easy. However the guy in front of me had a ton of real estate shit and his son was running around humping a large balloon. Not the store’s fault though. Im guessing if both were in id be done fast

Well sorry Postal Annex, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

$ 10 for Notary. Pretty easy-​peasy, i could see where it would get busy since theres only 1 person there usually.

I would give this establishment a ZERO if I was given the option.
Horrible customer service, they don’t greet you and are not helpful. The mark up is extremely high, most likely DOUBLE what UPS or FedEx charges if you ship with them directly. Do yourself a favor: go to the actual UPS or FedEx store.
There are very cheap people running this store, they will charge you for everything, even a piece of tape. Also, make sure you bring cash, minimum purchase price for credit cards changes randomly with these guys, last time I was going to buy a $ 5.75 box and they refused to accept card because the minimum card purchase had magically rolled up to $ 6.
I’m not visiting this location ever again, there are better shipping outlets out there. Drive 5 minutes more if you can, it will serve you better.

Just after the New Year, I had Postal Annex ship a lot of fragile dish ware and other valuable items out of state. It was expensive but well worth it. The staff were very courteous and professional. They double boxed and secured my valuables in ways that ensured safe arrival (there was not a single nick on any of the fine china or other dish ware!). Very impressive job only matched by their service and friendly attitude!

Service is good enough. Not great, not horrible. They are not very fast so not a good idea to go in if you are in a hurry.
Biggest WARNING, they overcharge like crazy. I have been using them for several months up until recently. I had a feeling they were overcharging, but never looked too close at the costs and my receipt. BIG MISTAKE! I can relate to almost everyone of the other reviews, wish I had read them before going in there.
I stopped in to mail one package and check the costs on shipping another larger package. I was quoted a price of $ 23 and change to FedEx the larger one. I needed to take it home to wrap it in shipping paper and decided when it was time to mail it to use another Postal Annex in Los Gatos. Turns out they only charged me $ 19 for the exact same service (same weight too).
Most places show you the shipping options & costs on the screen. THIS PLACE DOES NOT, VERY SHADY. I’m pretty sure they have been adding at least 20% to everything I’ve shipped thus far. I definitely won’t be using their services ever again!

Definitely pay for convenience. I needed to send a fax but didn’t know there was a $ 10 min to use debit/​credit. I had no cash on me so I HAD to purchase something I didn’t want to just to meet the requirements.

If your primary interest is having a ²⁴⁄₇ mailbox, this Postal Annex outlet deserves a solid 5-​star rating. (Caution: The price is about double the cost of a comparable U.S. Postal Service mailbox.) The mailbox can be quite convenient if you plan to receive FedEx and UPS deliveries that you don’t want left at your front door while you’re at work. Postal Annex staff will hold all items that can’t fit into your mailbox, and you may pick up the items during normal business hours.
OK, that’s the positive. Here are the negatives, which unfortunately reduce the overall rating to 2 stars. (1) The company is generally customer-​unfriendly. As many Unilocalers have noted, the cost of shipments or anything for that matter (copies, faxes, shipping boxes, passport photos, etc.) are sky-​high. This is due to the «convenience fee» they apply to practically everything. The customer will be charged «whatever the market will bear,» and that charge is substantial. Caveat emptor. Therefore, I recommend that you limit purchases here if cost-​saving is high on your list of priorities. (2) Regarding staff: The gentleman — who is probably the owner and manager — is helpful, courteous, and friendly. However, the two women who work with him are much less friendly and not particularly customer-​oriented. «Thank you» isn’t commonly in their lexicon, and smiles are few and far between.
The negatives are unfortunate because I like to support small local businesses. Still, I find it hard to heartily recommend this Postal Annex outlet, since good customer service is essential, irrespective of the size of a company, and this company is wanting in that regard. Still, it’s an acceptable establishment; it just doesn’t excel.

I have no complaints about the service. I just never realized how much I was paying for the convenience. I wanted to mail a small package to Rocklin, CA today. The cost came to $ 9.63. I don’t carry cash and wanted to use my debit card. There is a $ 10 minimun to use a debit card. So, I walked next door to the U.S. Post Office. The charge was $ 5.00 to mail the same package. That is a huge difference. I will only use Postal Annex in the future for an extreme emergency.

If I could give ½ star I would.
First, the lady behind the counter neglected to assist me and another customer when we BOTH were having a difficult time with their old school copy machines.
After I finally printed my (3) copies, she tried to rush me out, however, I told her I needed the copies fax.
Mind you, she had already finished the other customer transaction.
So, she tells me it will be $ 3. Then she says, no its $ 4. So, I give her a five dollar bill. She gives me change. I said you should be giving me a dollar. She says, no its $ 4.33. So, I was so irritated I told her to keep the change since she needs it sooooo badly.
The lady at the counter did not have a name tag on, or I would be phoning the manager.
FYI: greet your customers, thank your customers, act like you appreciate their business.
I will drive to either Office Max or the other Postal Annex on Smell/​Branham.

The post office boxes are accessable after hours and that’s nice. They staff are cordial, but could be more friendly. Not fast, but fast enough for me. They could improve, but they’re getting it done I guess.

I have used the Postal Annex many times in the past when I wanted to do a quick in and out postal transaction, and was always willing to pay a «little» more not to have to wait in line at the regular post office. However, last week, I was rushed and distracted when I went in and did not pay close attention to how much I was being charged — because besides mailing an envelope, I was also buying some resume paper. When I got home, I noticed I was charged $ 5.95 to mail a standard envelope. I went right back to question the charge — she said «sorry, there is nothing I can do, it has already gone out…» She said it very flippantly, and did not apologize that she overcharged me by more than $ 5.00. She did not offer any compensation. In the future, I will go next door to Robertsville Post Office and wait in line to receive fair and competent service.

I have mailed quite a # of large box’s here that had weight restriction’s do to where they were going & the gal’s that were there couldn’t have been more patiant & helpfull in getting the box’s packed & shipped for me every time with no problem’s at all!

i have a mail box there and love Dolly the owner. She never is bothered by a phone call to check if I have mail, calls me when boxes arrive, and just does a great job.

I think they are more interested in bilking every last dollar from you.
I went in and shipped out UPS boxes. They didn’t have the tracking number, and told me to call after 5 PM for it.
Then they proceeded to charge much more for the same product I’ve shipped 10 times before from other locations.
One of my boxes needed a bit of tape as it was not fully sealed.
The person at the desk put tape on it, and I noticed on my receipt a $ 1.00 charge for «packing materials».
$ 1.00 for 6 inches of tape of their roller, after paying $ 50 to ship a package.
Avoid if you possibly can.
