Eager to satisfy our Popeyes cravings(we love Popeyes but neither of us have gone in awhile), we landed at this particular location with the initial plan of just grabbing some tea from next door. We were able to get our orders in fairly quickly, and the cashier even made some helpful suggestions in terms of what we could order(ex. their new garlic butterfly shrimp) Unfortunately the fun ends here as we waited, and waited and waited, …and waited for our food. What’s worse is that at one point, we noticed that EVERYONE in the restaurant was waiting for their orders and no one was eating. I remember distinctively that finally when our number was called, I let out a loud whisper of «yesssssss!» The food was fresh and crispy, but the wings and shrimp that we ordered were both on the dry side. Overall, 2.5 stars. But I just can’t quite bump it up to a 3.

I waited for 30 minutes for 4 piece of chicken and cajun fries. Many people were inline to order food but they only have one cashier open.

Came in here tonight to get a quick bite but was disappointed with the customer service. I’m not the one to write bad reviews or complain but this staff annoyed me by how immature they were acting while I was waiting for my food 20 minutes before closing. When I first arrived they kept talking about an employee(will not say the name cause I’m nice enough to not get them in trouble or start drama) but after the whole smack talking they go on to talk about customers coming in before closing. I get it I work in customer service but if you work in fast food believe you’re going to get anyone at any time of the day! So don’t act surprise if someone comes in 5 minutes before closing. Get it together and talk bad your customers when there’s no one in the building or after hours

It’s Popeyes, the girl at the counter was nice. And our order was right! I didn’t have to scratch the wing, it was about ½ the size of my thumb! I switched it to a thigh instead. other than that, we were tired, ready to eat and go to bed!

DONTEATHERE!!! Last year I tried this place I got horrible food poisoning and horrible service but i decided to try again in hopes that it will be better. To sum up my experience, they have pretty HORRIBLE service here not sure what they actually do exactly all the food is laid out in front of you yet they still take 20+ minutes to give you your food. Not only are the employees lazy there on their phones half the dam time laughing and not working. Also half their beverages are out. Well I guess thats what you get when you have a whole bunch of high school dropouts working.

This is my go to Popeyes! Location is on point. It’s located near my house, so it’s very convenient. Parking is plentiful. Price is a little stiff compared to KFC, but Popeyes has better chicken and flavor overall. Plus they have deals on certain days of the week. I love the side dishes. Plenty to choose from. They even come up with different combinations. I personally love the wings and drumsticks. I love the fries and the biscuits. They definitely have better sides than KFC. The atmosphere is clean.

Review Back in 2011 it’s a little more expensive than KFC, but i do like me some Popeyes. The chicken is actually nice and crispy on the outside, the fries are bomb, and the spicy chicken strips are on point! It’s understaffed so I don’t expect the employes to have shit eating grins. the wait for chicken can be 15 min when the guy before you has a big order, otherwise if your order is in stock it’s pretty quick. the AC’s in there… well expect it to be hot as hell during the summer. UPDATE: 4÷4÷15 New ownership, more employees and they now accept cards!

I live about 5 minutes away from this location so it’s pretty convenient. The chicken is good. The mash, gravy, and biscuits blow KFC’s out of the water. The big problem is you may die of starvation waiting for your order. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten in and out of this place in less than fifteen minutes, and that includes times I’ve been the only customer. Fifteen minutes isn’t the end of the world, but it is a FAST food place. I’m not talking big orders either, a 2 piece or 3 tenders meal is my standard order. I’ve actually started going to the other location on Capitol, even though it’s farther, because they don’t seem to have the wait problems this one has. So, 5 stars for the food, minus 2 for the wait.

Food is great for fast food. However Milton a worker there is a real jerk. He treats people like they are stupid. This not one occasion but many. Get rid of him or at least retrain him. As for people saying its busy, the specials they have draw in the crowds so just be patient.

This is a Popeyes, so y’all know what to expect lol. I give them 4 stars because the service is fast, employees are nice(they’ve given me a wing to try when they had promotions and I wasn’t sure if I wanted the whole box), and the food is consistent. When you’re going for fast and cheap, you can’t expect too much. The place is fairly clean, though I’ve never sat and ate there, seems clean when I go in to order. Lots of parking and close to the freeway. Win win. The end.

Good lord, this place is slow! Line stretches outside the door, they have 1 cashier taking orders, staff hanging out in the back and whoever is serving the food is taking forever, like its their first day on the job. Waited 45 minutes just to order 3 piece chicken dinner. Are you serious? Never again.

I love Popeyes as a place to hit up when I get my ‘one in a while’ crispy chicken cajun style craving… My 2 stars is due to my 3 experiences at this specific location. I have been to the 1671 N Capitol Ave #8, San Jose, CA95132 and the 2786 Homestead Rd Santa Clara, CA95051 Popeyes locations. Those two were quick to smile and quicker to serve. However, since I work nearer to this location, I drop by once in a while during my lunch break. Today, I decided to write a review due to 3 of my visits. First visit was a 3.5 star. The guy that took the order was quick and wasnt idling around. The food was cooked properly. Why a 1.5 star deduction? Well, the girl that was helping him was idling around and when she finally got the food, she made me feel like I interrupted her ‘idling’. Second visit was a 3 star. The girl that took the order was nice enough. The order was done in a Popeyes wait until its cooked fashion, which isnt bad at all. It took about 10 minutes from the time we paid. Again, the food was cooked well and I had no complaints after dining in. Todays visit annoyed me. I walk in, there was no one in line but when I was waiting to order, the girl kept on «tidying up». Fine, she was cleaning, maybe… After a minute or two of waiting she took my order. Waited for my order for the usual maybe 10 minutes… When I got the food and finally bit into the chicken, it felt a little bit grainy. So I looked at the meat and well, I couldnt finish one of the chicken tenders… because it was still… TENDER… It wasnt cooked through. Yes, the outside was crispy… but the inside… ugh… So I got up and told the other girl at the counter and she stared at me like she wanted to say, «so? it looks cooked to me…» and then she finally said, «are the other ones the same?»… uhm… really? should i have to tell you if the food you serve is cooked or not? after having me tear the other two tenders apart… she said, «ok i’ll give you a new set, you can throw this away…» oh, really… great customer service… not once did i hear a sorry or even an attempt to fake being sorry… So, I threw the whole box away… waited again for the replacement and while I was waiting… I witnessed a group of teens come in yelling out of the girls at the counter’s name and their order came within 5 minutes… ahead of other customers who came before them… GOODJOB! I know you probably get paid minimum and by the hour but ladies, just like you, we also work for a living. Treating your customers like they dont know any better, does not make you or anyone else look good. Thank you for your«service». Will be avoiding your store from now on. I took a snap of the ladies at the counter from todays visit. And if management wants to speak with me… By all means, call me. I’ll be more than happy to complain a little bit more. I did not experience anything good from todays visit except for MAYBE, the drink that I kept refilling waiting for RAW food to be dispensed.

Lazy day Tuesday, dinner will be 2 for $ 1.50 chickens! Family are always satisfied even though I don’t have to cook. It gets really busy right at 6pm, obviously it;s dinner time for family. I also like their cajun fries, they are good here.

I’m all about the $ 1.50 Tuesday 2 pc chicken special here cause it’s so cheap and so good! I have to admit I am not a loyal Popeyes customer… BUT at least for every Tuesday when I get the craving, I come by and pick up a few boxes with my friends and we chow down with some Netflix. It’s fun times! Only thing is that the wait can be pretty bad sometimes but it’s no big deal. I just hope they keep this promo going … I need my fried chicken fix!!!

Wait, I didn’t review this place yet? The chicken here is good and some may say it’s better than KFC, but I can barely see a difference. The other day I was watching the television and a Popeyes commercial happened to be on. It was of the fried crawfish and immediately, I told the beau we NEED to go. He was so down! We drove, in the rain, to Popeyes and ordered. It was actually pretty amazing, I’m so glad that commercial got me. :P
