Pizza Express

The food was very ok. We got a calzone that was kind of soggy and wings that could have used a lot more sauce. The pesto cheesy bread was the highlight though! Very nice. (But it’s really hard to mess that up.)

Decided to order pizza during the Sharks game and check this place out. Meh, pretty much covers it. Ordered the chipotle wings, arrived hot, but with no sauce or flavor. Maybe they sent regular wings? We ordered a half Hawaiian/​Combo and the pizza was lukewarm and soggy in the crust. On the plus side, pizza has plenty of toppings and arrived fast.

Pizza Express pizza delivered the Supreme pizza on-​time. I used the EAT24 app to order my pizza. It’s so efficient. The pizza that was delivered was still really warm. It wasn’t super greasy or burnt after heating it up again. Yes, I did have leftovers. Even after heating it up in the toaster, it was nice and crisp, like the first day. Good to know that the pizza was good. Move over Round Table and other pizza competitors.

Got delivery at the hotel in town for work.
Service:
Delivered incredibly fast. 32 minutes.
Pre-​tipped 20%. Requested utensils and napkins. Request was ignored.
Food quality:
Pizza was delivered hot. Crust was cooked thoroughly and not overcooked.
I personally didn’t like the sauce or the crust, I found it lacked seasoning and the sauce tasted bad.
The cheese bread didn’t have much taste. When we ordered blue cheese they gave us packets of blue cheese I found this kinda odd.
I suspect from the other reviews I’ve read that there is great food here, I just didn’t get 4 star quality food. Ultimately I gave it 3 stars because instead of 2 because the service was quick and the order was correct. I just though the food was ‘just ok.’

Pizza Express is my favorite pizza delivery place in San Jose. They have free delivery, reasonable pricing, and fast turnaround. The pizza isn’t spectacular, but it’s better than what you get from the standard big pizza chains. Order directly from their website for the best deal. They also occasionally send out pretty good coupons.

This place is awesome! So happy they deliver, just what I needed for my sick day.
Got a 2 litter of sprite zero, the calzone and a garden salad– big portions for both, couldn’t finish them leftovers.
The Mozzarella on the salad tastes like they make it fresh, the veggies in the calzone were fresh and not overcooked– still had a little crunch.
Delivery man was faster than predicted and very polite– THANK YOU!

I have had better. Food was so/​so. Delivery driver was very nice. Will try again to see if things get better. Stay tuned.

This place just flat out sucks. I’m pissed I spent 50 bucks here for this shitty of food. I can’t even bring myself to finish the food. Pizza tastes old and like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp all day and has absolutely no flavor. I can’t even begin to say how incredibly bland the cheese ravioli are… completely tasteless.

Tonight I ordered the all meat pizza with extra cheese. Oh. My. God. Not only was the delivery quick and the pizza hot, it was probably the most delicious meaty pizza I have ever had. Tons of pepperoni, salami, and these huge meatballs. I opted out of the ham that comes on it. I love this place. The delivery drivers are always super nice and the pizza is awesome!

Super good pizza. Wow! Friendly staff. Pricing a bit more than thought, but I’d say it’s almost worth it. The crust is super good, and not too greasy, the worst is greasy pizza. Thanks for a good experience.

Love this place! Awesome pizza and fast delivery. We’re very picky about our pizza (all three of my boys delivered pizza in Los Altos when they were in High School, and this place rocks! Do it!

This was probably the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten in my life. The sausage had no flavor, it was literally just ground beef. I almost spit it out when I took a bite. The crust was mushy and soggy underneath the toppings and the end crust was stale. Plus the delivery was half an hour late. Terrible experience, removing this from our takeout list.

I am really let down by Pizza Express. I have ordered from these guys probably about 20 times now… and I really liked their pizza … However, tonight I ordered:
1 XL Thin Crust Cheese
1 XL Regular Crust Sausage
2 Cans of Anchovies
I got … 2 Large Regular Cheese Pizzas and the anchovies. I called because honestly I figured the order got messed up and someone else got my pizzas and just wanted to make sure they knew so if it wasnt delivered yet — the other people would at least get the proper order.
The guy on the phone asked for my number so he could give me 50% my next pizza (just one pizza not my order). I spent over $ 60 tonight (and essentially got ripped off getting smaller pizzas any not my topping) between the pizza and the tip for the driver … I expected AT THE VERY LEAST a sincere apology for screwing up the order.
You guys lost a good customer tonight … it really wouldnt have been hard to rectify this situation properly … My roommates and I order from you all at least weekly — and of course accidents with orders happen — but between the massive inconvience of it (we had to order more food elsewhere so that everyone could eat) and just your complete lack of empathy over the phone — you wont be seeing my business anymore.

This was the only place that was close enough within reason for us to order on Eat24. I figured, it got good reviews and the buffalo wings looked decent.
I ordered a ½, ½ specialty pizza with Mexicana on one side and Hawaiian on the other. I also ordered a $ 7.99 boneless buffalo wings. Let me tell you … their wings or chicken of ANY sort comes from sad Costco packages and tastes like they don’t know how to cook these things. Do NOT order any type of chicken dish from here, it was definitely a waste of money.
As for the pizza, the ingredients were fresh and the delivery was very speedy … but frankly it was kind of disappointing. Definitely by far not the most memeroable pizza I’ve had. Meh.

Ok, it’s hard to believe a pizza delivery place can get 5 stars, but guess what. These people earned it!
First off: Good food. I mean it’s a damn good pie. Baked wings? Yes, please. Even the plain wings are some of the best I’ve had out here, but the variety of wings is enough to keep you occupied. They may not have the width of selections that other places have, but what they do they do consistently top notch.
Next: Delivery. Maybe I’m too picky, maybe I’m a bit of an old ‘get off my lawn’ type, but this is where this store really shines. On time or early. No arguments. No pushy drivers. Last and by all means not least — they ring my doorbell. That is I don’t have to walk out of my apartment to the front door and wait for someone to show up. They come to my door, find the bell, and are always friendly and easy to talk with. I know this sounds kinda expected — but in my experience almost no one can match this. Other places can’t (or won’t) use the intercom, argue about not wanting to get out of their cars, can’t figure out that the ordering service has already collected and delivered their tip, etc.etc.etc.
Well played, Pizza express. Well played.

Who doesn’t love getting pizza delivered to your work?! My awesome supervisor last night ordered a few boxes of pizza and the sweet & sour chicken wings.
He got pepperoni, combination, and vegetarian pizzas. The combination was pretty good! It had the usual mushrooms, green bell peppers, olives, cheeeeeese, and meats. The handmade sausage meatballs are huuuge.
I wasn’t a fan of how soggy the bottom of the pizza was, though. Even when the pizza was still fresh and hot, the bottom was soggy already. The crust was fluffy and tasty, not too dry at all. I didn’t try the wings, but my coworkers were chowing away on them.
Unfortunately, I didn’t keep track of how long it took them to deliver the pizza, but my supervisor said he has ordered from Pizza Express in the past and has never disappointed him.

I order from Pizza Express regularly and I’ve been pleased each and every time. Their pizza is on point, their wings are delicious, and even their salads are well done. Every order is always delivered in a timely manner and usually earlier than their predicted time.
I would definitely recommend Pizza Express every time.

Been stuck home all day with the baby and I had a hankering for pizza, but didn’t want to drive (since that inmate that escaped from the hospital is running around my neighborhood somewhere).
Searched online for delivery service and came up with Pizza Express which is about 1 mile from my apartment. Perfect! Took about 30 minutes, they advertise 45 minutes. I thought it was pretty darn quick. My delivery guy was nice as well.
I decided to order a medium Stromboli which contains pepperoni, mushrooms, Italian sausage, and salami. I decided to ditch the sausage and ask for olives instead. The pizza smelled great, looked great, and it tasted pretty good. This pie is definitely on the salty side, I can see people who are sensitive to salt not liking it. I really like salty things, so it didn’t bother me. You can’t be too surprised though when it comes with pepperoni & salami. I would actually order this again, but maybe ditch the salami to lower the salt level.
I’m pleasantly surprised, I’d order again.

The name of this pizza joint really threw me the first time we were considering ordering from them through
. To be honest, the name sounded pretty generic, so that’s how I expected their food to be.
Lo and behold, they have THE best cheese bread I’ve ever had. No joke. I don’t even order pizza from them most of the time. Just gimme those cheese sticks.
And the cheese actually melts again after reheating, which is kind of a paradox in the pizza industry.
The pesto cheese bread and the plain old Jane cheese bread are both good. But the garlic cheese bread? Ridiculous. They pack on enough big juicy fresh chunks of garlic that you can be sure you won’t be puckering up to any vampires during this Millenium.
Also, surprisingly, their salads are delish. If you order online, you can choose additional toppings to customize that beastly pile of greens.
Speaking of ordering online, don’t use a delivery service outside of Pizza Express’ direct website — all the other sites charge for delivering PE’s goods. But if your order is over $ 17, they deliver for free.
Free is good.
