This review is well overdue. I hired a DJ from this company for my sons’s 16^th birthday party. He was AMAZING! He was very knowledgeable and helped me pick appropriate music. He made the event amazing with music and the accompanying music videos. My son’s friends are still talking about his party!
I recommend this DJ for any event!

Hired for a wedding reception. Met us on time. Took into consideration what we wanted and told us not to worry. Nice guy. Punctual and accommodating. Did everything he told us he would do. I see some of these crazy bride types and understand they want to control every millisecond in the reviews below.
If you want a responsible guy who has good equipment and tries really hard to accommodate, Brandon (DJ Raid) is a professional. I’d hire him again and again.
Played the genres we asked for. Let my friends Karoake and make fools of themselves.
He played the agreed upon time. His services were a great Value.
Make sure you tip this guy. He’s worth more than he charges.
Dj’s we contacted were extremely flaky, Brandon is reliable.

We hired Brandon for our outdoor wedding ceremony and indoor reception in Lake Tahoe on 7÷14÷12 and he was amazing!
We had a few hiccups at both venues and Brandon really stepped up and made everything happen seamlessly. He played all the music we asked for and even took requests from a few of my tipsy friends –after asking me for permission first, which was very thoughtful! He was prompt, looked professional and announced everything in a warm manner, more like he was one of our friends not some stranger we hired to do our wedding. He truly went above and beyond what we expected and we couldn’t sing hs praises enough!

Brandon — DJ Raid Dj’ed my wedding on 6÷16÷12 and he was AWESOME!
He was on time he set up the lighting, the outdoor ceremony, and the indoor reception. The music he played was perfect and he took request. He even let my husband have the mic and chereokee lol.
He followed our day of timeline to a tee. He announced everything at the right time and was on top of everything!!! I forgot to give him the bridal party reception entrance order and he came and got from me so things came out perfectly.
We booked him about a year out and throughout that year he responded to all my emails in a timely manor.
I couldn’t imagine using any other DJ. 100% recommend. My sister is using him also for her November 2012 wedding!

Brandon was super chill and cool from the beginning of this process. We wanted to find a djay who would only play exactly the music we wanted at our wedding and nothing else (no YMCA etc etc). We also wanted a djay who wouldn’t do anything cheesy and just be laid back about our laid back wedding. Brandon was exactly that! He was also flexible about coming over to our place pre-​wedding to discuss logistics and then afterwards when we hadn’t paid him enough. He was affordable, professional and a generally nice guy. He comes highly recommended!

Brandon aka DJ Raid, stole the show… and right on time! Originally, he was hired to only DJ at our wedding. Our venue coordinator was supposed to MC the event, as we only had about 80 guests, but even with a small wedding party, my guests complained that they couldn’t hear her. Brandon came to the rescue and got our wedding program back on track. He played great music and had a great voice and personality on the mic.
I was sold because I ended up calling him again for a Corporate Event. The event took place outside and he had all the right equipment needed. Brandon was great at reading the crowd and everyone was pleased to get to dance to their preferred music genre. He had a large music collection because he was able to fulfill all employee’s music requests. For the next week after the event, co-​workers were asking me for his contact info.
Lastly, his prices were straight-​forward and affordable. Brandon is very easy to work with and very trustworthy.

DJ Raid Aka Brandon Batten. He and the other DJ’s are great to have at any occasion. My wife and I used him for our wedding last year and he was a hit! Besides his DJ equipment he also had his lighting and projector which we got to play video and slight shows on. The music was exactly what we wanted and he even helped MC the event. I can’t forget to mention that his pricing for all of this was VERY reasonable.
He was polite, understanding of our needs and he can easily adapt to any situation that may arise. I highly recommend him.

We searched tirelessly for the right wedding dj, and when we found Brandon we were pumped. His attitude seemed right on (we were looking to steer clear of the super-​cheesy always-​on-​the-​mic obnoxious djs we’ve seen all too often), rates were really reasonable, he’s got all sorts of awesome lights and equipment that he threw in gratis, and he’s really responsive on email (very important to me). he also helped me find some songs that i had trouble tracking down, which was great.
On the day of the wedding, everything started off well. Brandon arrived nice and early, he looked clean cut (although he was wearing a polo to a wedding, we’re cool with that because we’re sort of a come as your are kind of crowd). he brought so much equipment he actually blew the fuse at the venue (they swear thats never happened). But it was a quick fix.
Right up until the reception started, i would give Brandon four stars. But unfortunately, he did a few things during the wedding that drove us nuts:
– We spent an insane amount of time and effort creating playlists and burning CDs for Brandon. We provided like 8 hours of music for him to go from (including a whole lot of jazz to play during meals), so there really shouldnt have been any reason why we would hear a song thats not on the playlist. And yet the music he played while we were eating was this weird synthy stuff that we never ever would have chosen. my hubby hates synth music.
–after the father-​daughter dance, for the first REAL dance of the night, we hoped he’d play something to get everyone out on the dance floor. we gave him a lot of dance music to choose from. but instead he chose to lead with ‘play that funky music white boy’ (awful) and he followed it up with ‘ice ice baby’ (worse). We couldnt understand how he got so far away from the music list and style we requested. we sucked it up and danced anyway, but it was super awkward.
–at one point, he left the dj booth altogether, and when the song ended there was dead silence for several minutes until he got back (so noticable. many guests commented on it to me). I get that everyone needs a bathroom break, but he should have made sure there were enough songs ready to play automatically while he stepped away.
– i forgot to specify a song for the bouquet toss prior to the wedding. Brandon didnt mention it to me until it was just about to happen, and i quickly pointed to one of the songs on my original playlist to put on right away so we can do the bouqet toss. well, my ladies lined up and were raring to go, and i waited a while for him to find the right track, but the song never came on. i ended up tossing the bouquet to what i would refer to as elevator music. this one’s a little bit my fault, but he shouldve asked me a little sooner about the song, so he had time to find it.
All in all, i think Brandon was a good value for the price. I would probably recommend him to another budget-​conscious bride. i just wanted to provide explanation as to why i couldnt give him a better review. i certainly hope he takes my constructive criticism to heart. he’s a genuinely good guy and i wish him all the best.

We used Brandon Batten for an event and he was very reasonable with his prices.
The music was exactly what the kids wanted to listen to and he was very easy to work with throughout the party (with requests and announcements).
— Only one STRIKE! — -thus the 4 stars versus the 5 stars… We where bummed out that the projector that he brought did not work for our slide show— but other than that SNAG. he did a great job!

We hired DJ Raid for our wedding. He was patient, courteous, professional and even stayed an extra half our when our guests wouldn’t leave! His prices are reasonable and he makes sure to listen to you and play the songs you want at your event! He’s definitely aware of current music and doesn’t play that awful wedding dance music you often see at other weddings! Hire him! He’s wonderful!

DJ RAID WAS A HIT. i HONESTLY JUST PUT FAITH IN THIS EVENT BOOKING AND THE DJ ENDED UP BEING VERY FRIENDLY, VERY VERSATILE, AND VERY KNOWLEDGEBLE REGARDING ALL GENRES OF MUSIC. I HIRED HIM FOR A PARK GRADUATION ON 6÷13÷09 AND HE HYPED UP THE PARTY FOR 5 HOURS STRAIGHT WITH A GENERATOR FOR 300 BUCKS FLAT REALLY GOOD PRICE COMPARED TO ALL THE OTHER DJ’S. HE ALSO WAS A NICE PERSON AND MADE SURE THAT ALL AGES OF THE MY PARTY GUEST HAD A SONG PLAYED… GREAT TIMES
