Nor Cal Laser Tag

This place is pretty cool. I took my son here for his birthday around 7:30pm. There was 13 of us and we had a area to ourselves. The kids and parents had a great time. I would recommend this place.
They have a picnic table for people to sit at. Their website states that you can bring your own food or have food delivered to the place too.
It’s $ 8 per person for 1 game. A game is 20 min long. They have a deal for $ 20 for 3 games. We’re coming back to try the paint ball.

I’ve never been to this place nor will I ever go because of poor customer experience I’ve received over the phone. I called the place to get details about hosting a party and the woman named Angie rudely told me to go to their web site and declined to offer any assistance. She intentionally dropped my call and sent my subsequent calls into voice mail.

Yesterday I took my boys and some friends to play laser tag at NorCal. It was our first time and I can honestly say the boys had more fun there than any other birthday party I have seen. The staff was great. Very helpful and patient with a bunch of 6 – 9 year olds. Oh and I played and had a blast as well!

Hosted our son’s 10^th birthday party at NorCal Laser Tag last weekend; total of 22 9– and 10-​year old boys in the party; the kids had a blast! The online reservation system issued a «Group ID» which allows parents to complete waivers online (before the party) and automatically match the player with our reservation. Our group had 100% waiver completion, so we breezed through registration and the boys had their wristbands quickly = more play time. Sergio was our game facilitator and he was patient, articulate, and authoritative. He clearly outlined the rules, answered questions and mediated issues. Sergio also accommodated a late-​afternoon scheduling hiccup — very diplomatically — with another team. Basically, he was terrific. Parents — Don’t forget to tip your game facilitator when they do a great job!

My GF had her company gathering here which was strange because only myself, her and one other coworker and her friend showed up! So it was 4 of us playing laser tag at night.
The gun is a modded paintball gun, its super easy to shoot obv but to get the best advantage (and cheat) you can cover your sensor so you dont get hit! (the coworker’s friend did this and i kept saying CHEATER!!!)
Anyways, since I didnt have to pay for anything it was wonderful! hella warm running around, i def had quite the sweat going on running from spot to spot. It was a «Free for All» and I can imagine that with teams or with more than 4 people things could be very fun and interesting.
Would go again!

Great place… lots of fun! My 9 yr old had a blast doing laser tag. Young people that worked there were all courteous and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

My 8yr old son had his party here maybe 3 weeks ago. We had a wide age range from 6 – 33 yrs old kids/​men. They ALL had a great time. I sat and entertained the parents that chose to stay but for the time I did watch and take pictures I even had fun. The staff was pleasant and I dont have a single complaint. My son said this was the best party yet :) thanks NorCal I am sure we will be back

I brought four kids to play laser tag between the ages of 3 and 12. This was a complete waste of money. You may as well send your kids out in the yard or go to a park with some play guns and save your money. The guns just beep when pointed and shot at each other. There were no targets to shoot, no vests to wear, you just shoot at a small box attached to the guns. The kids were disappointed that there was nothing lit up and glowing like most laser tag places. This one is out doors in the hot sun and not much fun. The kids basically stood and pointed at each other. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and we definitely will not be coming back. I wish we could have gotten a refund after the first game but there was a sign clearly posted at the check in desk stating no refunds only store credit of which we don’t want. I’d be surprised to see it stay in business much longer.

This is my first time here at nor cal laser tag with my childs summer camp. Its a big place and the kids had a blast. A gentle men named Robert who was very friendly with the kids and answered all their questions. He was also very patient. Thank you Robert from A Place to Grow

This was a great experience! I set up a group for a staff outing for some team building fun. We’re nonprofit so were working on a budget, but this worked out great! Reasonable group rate that allowed a big group (30 of us) to maximize our time together. They accommodated our requests for different ways to compete (individual and multiple team) and got us suited up, safety talk, and going quickly… and with a sense of humor (always good!).
Only thing… it was HOT that day (middle of August… when I started this review) which made port-​a-​potties no fun, and water was hard to come by.

Recently took my son here for his birthday party, he and his cousins had a blast. The employees here are all young (teenagers) but I have to say they are all very professional and inviting. The management should be very proud. The actual laser tag area is set up like a «Call of Duty» video game which the kids loved. That includes little houses with windows and small hallways. This is not your old dark neon Eastridge mall setup I grew up with. It is outside, spacious, and very similar to the paintball setup. I would definitely recommend a big group to go.

I had my son’s 10^th birthday party here. I made a reservation online for 3pm for his party. I got there early and the place was just crazy packed with people playing paintball. There’s only one window to register and pay for everyone whether you’re playing paintball or laser tag and it was a LONG wait. They had no idea about my reservation and we were already 30 mins behind schedule. The picnic tables are first come first serve. They only have 1 picnic table outside of the laser tag area and 1 picnic table inside the arena. I didn’t like the lack of organization for birthday parties. But it doesn’t matter as long as my son and his friends had a good time, which they did. The guy at the laser tag area was cool and friendly. He even let us stay a little over 5pm (when they close) to sing happy birthday to my son and have cake. I would come back if my son wants to do his next birthday party here. I would just prepare next time for the busyness and arrive way earlier.

Ok sooo I love this place, I took 3 kids over to play the Laser Tag, beings my Son is only 9 he couldn’t do the paint ball gig. The customer service was unreal, really nice people. For starters, I was super impresses with Yvonna, I think her name was ??, she is a doll, and totally went out of her way to make sure I received a killer discount, due to a coupon not being able to print, I showed her my e-mail’s and she whipped me on through. Thank You Yvonna. Then Robert/​Richard. sorri I forget names lol. — he was like a manager guy, drove us down to the way end of the place, and saved us a long hot walk. What a nice dude. All I know is the kid’s loved it, and we’ll be back…
You guys ROCK. Aloha 4 now.:)))) I feel like they are safe, and I can be confident that they are not only having fun, but they are safe, with the crew also.
P. S. We really need to get a TIP jar going in this place. Kid’s Rule, and the Staff at Nor Cal do also.

I was worried we’d be the only people over the age of 12 playing laser-​tag, but it didn’t matter, because it was an absolute blast! So fun. The only downside is that the setup with the paintball+laser tag area is kind of a mess, hard to navigate and make sure you’re getting where you’re wanting to go. Otherwise, fun, friendly staff and an awesome course to take friends and family to for active fun!

I went paintballing with a group of 26 girls and lets just say we took over the place. Our refs were awesome. A shout out to Jacob and Tyler for bearing with our nutty attitude. They were respectful patient and tried to get us to the best courses with some fun games. The only complaint I have is that the fields need better upkeep because some were gross and soggy.
However overall a great experience especially in a large group. The staff is friendly n cool… yes it stings. Enjoy

So I planned my 30 year old boyfriend (who is really a 14 year old boy at heart) a surprise party here. First of all, we were an hour late. we were coming from over an hour away and just misjudged the timing.
So when I got there, no one even seemed to mind that we were so late, which was great. It took a while to register all of us (there were close to 20 of us), but it went pretty smoothly. One of the employees walked us down to the laser tag park which is past all of the paint ball parks. When we got there, there was a group of young teens already playing. I think most of my boyfriend’s friends were hesitant to play laser tag considering it’s something they did when they were younger. After the first game, they all ran out sweating and recapping the game. We ended up staying for about 3 hours playing laser tag for about 10 to 15 minute intervals. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun. There are a ton of wooden structures you can run into and hide in, with windows cut out. Big tires all over the place. And yes, the astro turf smelled really bad. Other than that, it was a really low-​maintenance, super fun day. The guns had little score keepers on the top so we could see how many people we hit or killed. And the guy working it could make different styles of games. We did free-​for-​alls, teams, only 500 bullets, 10 hits makes a kill. It was a fun way to change things up so we weren’t just doing the same thing the whole time. I think that’s how we ended up staying so long and still had a lot of fun.
The guy working the laser tag was really nice and didn’t seem to mind we were there for so long. The teens were there almost as long as we were and even had nicknames for us by the end. It was a really fun day.
I’d say the 4 stars are for the smell and just the fact that it seemed like making a reservation was kind of a waste of time, even though it is required. Also, the whole check out process was really inefficient. Other than that, it was so much fun!!!

I have to thank Alex, a supervisor, at NorCal for his professionalism and wonderful customer service. He was fabulous to work with. I especially want to thank Joseph one of the refs there. He worked with my party to ensure that my son’s 9^th birthday was hit. Also, I want to thank Julie Anna for her patience with me during the planning. To the owners of NorCal you have a very wonderful staff and should be proud that they represent your company so honorably. Our kids had a blast as well as the adults! The only reason I didn’t give this place five stars is because of the yucky smell that permeated the AstroTurf. It was the smell of old standing moldy water. That was the only downer about the place I didn’t even want to serve our food and cake there. If they had proper drainage they could have prevented this but I’m afraid it’s too late. I am really surprised that someone hasn’t contacted the County and reported them. I really hope the owners see this Unilocal and work on cleaning up the place because it would be well worth the expense and they have really great and dedicated employee which made our experience a great one!

I planned a joint bachelor and bachelorette party for my brother at norcal laser tag. I could not find a Unilocal review and I was hesitant about the lack of reviews anywhere on the web. This place is part of Santa Clara Paintball and is an outdoor laser tag site. The site is large and has lots of barriers, mini-​hideouts and tubes of tires to run around. The guns are modified paintball guns with a infra-​red laser on top. The gun makes a POW noise when you pull the trigger and each gun registers individual hits.
There is no score card because each gun registers the people you hit and the hits you receive. This means that teams don’t really matter because when you get shot by either a team mate or an enemy, you still register a hit. The operators were kind, friendly, and efficient in making sure everyone stuck to the time of the game. As a couple of adults running around, we got tired fast and water is definitely a necessity. They sell water for $ 1 a bottle at the site. Each game is around 20 minutes and if you go, 2 – 3 games is more than enough to have fun without losing the novelty of the experience. This was a nice break from the indoor neon laser tag arenas filled with screaming kids. Here, we were all in our 20’s and 30’s and we shot each other for a game before a group of 11 year olds came. We simply became our own team and ran around and shot them which was fun also. However, there were very few kids around and this place is easy to miss since it’s not reviewed anywhere on the net.
