Good honest mechanics here. I had pads and rotors replaced recently and roday they made good on the lifetime warranty.

I am surprised to see so many one star ratings here! I took two cars here last week for wheel alignment and brakes. I had bought tires at Costco and got two coupons for this particular Midas. I shopped around for the best price and found it yo be Midas this time. The service was fast and excellent. I will definitely keep this place in mind next time my car needs service and after having shopped around for the best deal if this place has it then I’ll take it back here.
A few years ago I took a car to a Midas located in Massachusetts. I got ripped off and told myself that I will never take a car to Midas again. Well, I did and I’m glad I did.
I will always shop around for the best deal but from now on I will take Midas into consideration.

I went in for an appointment at 2:30. There were a couple people in the waiting room. I stood at the desk for a good 10 minutes and no one ever came so I left. Terrible service. Never going to return again.

Had my front brakes and rotor replaced here for a great price. I had an oil change elsewhere and was quoted much higher for parts and labor of changing my brakes and rotor. But i called up Midas and got an appointment set up immediately! Plus, they have a lifetime warranty on brake pads (still have to pay for labor.)
Dinging one star because on the phone i was told if i brought it in at the time i requested, i would only have to wait 1 hour for the service. However, when i got there, it was a 2 hour wait. Thankfully it was a short walk to Valley Fair so i was easily able to kill time.

I Dont Always Leave Reviews But When I Do I Do This Shit:
This review is ONLY for alignment. I brought my car in on 06/​02/​2015 for an alignment. I had a coupon for 39.95. I don’t think these guys know how to align lower cars… They also told me on the phone that their machine was old. I came in at 9 am and waited for my car to get on the rack. After 15 – 20 mins in the waiting room with my son the front desk gentleman said your car should be done soon. 10 minutes later he told me they can’t do it… WTF. Showed me the screen and it read –8.8 and –8.6 for my rear. My wheel should be sitting like this /​\ WHICH IT WAS NOT. They also said I need adjustable upper control arms. Bull shit man. I think they was just lazy or don’t know what they are doing. I brought my car over to Tech 3 Auto Repair/​Performance and paid 80 bucks and got my alignment done right with no bull shit about needing adjustable control arms. AND my car was actually at –3.1 and –3.2 in the rear not –8.8 or –8.6. If your machine is out dated you need to do something about it. How do you know you are getting your other customers the correct alignment??? Be careful gals and gents. I would pay a bit more to get a piece of mind.

Shop around you can find better deals for service and don’t be fooled by their guarantee, their service fees far exceed any savings you’ll gain from not having to buy the parts. $ 700 to service front and rear brakes, that’s just labor and with a coupon… You go anywhere else and you can get it done for almost half that price. Their brakes are garbage too and don’t last anyways.

I was on a road trip and the lights on my dash we’re going out. I was nervous. The guys here took me right away, checked my car, and ensured everything was safe. No charge. Thank you!

After being recommended major repairs, I obtained a 2^nd opinion. The 2^nd mechanic wanted to know exactly what prior work was done on my car. I went back to Midas to ask for the paperwork. The owner of the company said they «lost» them since ownership recently changed. I printed out my bank statements so they can check them against their records to locate them. I have spent 1,800 in the past 6 months on various repairs from oil changes, tires and routine wear and tear on my vehicle.
My current mechanic thinks that they never fixed a problem that I was charged for.
Instead of trying to work with me to figure out how to keep an existing customer, the owner got argumentative.
Word of advice, majority rules. After seeing the negative reviews, I should have known better and found a better mechanic.

These guys are beyond horrible. I don’t think they are capable to washing a car let alone working on one. It took two weeks just to figure out how to change the oil in my Subaru because it takes synthetic 0−20W. Never again will I take my car to this place and I highly recommend that you avoid this place like it’s infected with Ebola!

I have come here twice now and I knew what was wrong with my car and they did not tell me any different then I already knew or try and sell me on anything else being wrong. My main problem is they have no idea what an appointment means. One time I made an appointment right at opening time and I got inside right after they opened the door but two people had been waiting at the door who did not have appointments and they took their car first. Don’t offer appointments if you are not going to honor them, people make them because they are busy and by not honoring your promise it really makes me not want to return.

If you don’t mind having your car worked on by mechanics that don’t explain anything to you and do not call you when your car is ready, then this is the place for you! I asked the mechanic to check the timing belt as they replaced my front shocks, and they said they would & call me after the job was done. 3 hours later I show up & the car is done being worked on but I never received a phone call. Then I noticed the mechanic had handwritten «steering wheel makes knocking noise» on the work order, but the cashier (a very older man) did not mention that to me & did not explain anything at all about my car… All he did was take my money. Nothing about the rear shocks, timing belt, anything else etc. Luckily the price was what was expected for the work but sadly based on their poor customer service I will not be returning. I’ve had better luck at other Midas locations.

Last night I ended up getting my car towed because it stalled. Check engine light was on and i couldn’t figure out or immediately see the problem under the hood of my vehicle. Today i was contacted by the shop I had my vehicle towed to and they informed me that one of my hoses had been disconnected from the engine. Found it strange that this happened after Midas visual inspection with my car and could have happened when they were removing my air filters. Either they did not connect the hose properly or forgot to connect it all together but that put me in a dangerous situation as I had driven quite a far distance after inspection here and luckily I had not entered the freeway yet but I was still on a busy street. If you do get a visual inspection here, make sure to inspect your vehicle yourself after and before you drive off.

This is probably a first for this business, three stars, but so far I’m pleased. I had the catalytic converter and O2 sensors replaced quickly i might add (4hours) for about $ 850.00 total. I would have paid at least $ 1200 at stevens crk honda, I imagine. Also, dealerships often take your car for the better part of a week to do what Midas did in 4 hours. However, buyer beware, do your homework!

i would have given 4 stars, but it was my own fault for not mentioning the worker left his greasy hand prints on my tan interior…
HOWEVER… fab price shocked me. Cheaper than I thought! the service was a riot, lots of laughing and smiles (if ya cant joke around, your not fun)

These guys have no concept of what an appointment means. When I showed up for the appointment at 2pm, the guy casually, and without any apology, told me they were running «about» a half an hour late.
With gas at $ 4+, a drive up to a store in the middle of a working day where no one believes in appointments is not a good way to start.
I do not recommend this store, and I have strong reservations about the brand itself.

My 1996 Miata MX5 headlight was busted and was surprised, enticed, and delighted how fast, and accurate Midas of Stevens Creek handled my concern. I cant believe I was able to save time, money, and inconvenience. More power to you Eddie and team. Will surely recommend your shop to all my friends.

I called in and set up an appointment for an oil change. I gave them all the necessary information about my truck, and they quoted me $ 25.
When I arrived at the Midas, they said they were running behind, and basically my appointment would be an hour late. Strike one. As the guy behind the counter is explaining the situation to me, he’s not apologetic at all. His tone is very «this is how it is, take it or leave it.» Strike two. Then the guy quotes me $ 35, which is $ 10 more than the original quote over the phone. Strike three.
The whole experience just felt shady, like they were trying to lure me into their shop, then charge me extra. Avoid this place at all costs.

I spoke to the management regarding the experience I had and they were very sorry and offered a free oil change. I took them up on their offer and it was the fastest oil change I’ve ever had done. I’ve been bringing my car back since and have gotten nothing but excellent service. The first time I went there must have been a bad fluke.

I think my complaint (and many others) to the Dept of Consumer Affairs has finally been heard.
The Attorney General is suing several bay area locations for their «bait and switch» scams. Of course this location was listed… I almost feel vindicated.

Lets be honest, all the rest of the posters are probably right about their criticism. BUT… they do have a special for your oil changes… for a one time fee of $ 150, they give you lifetime oil changes for only $ 5/​oil change. I am not sure i would take my car there for my service work, but how bad can you screw up and oil change? I don’t know if i would take a Bentley there for an oil change, but for my Honda Civic and other «run of the mill» cars, i think it’s quite a deal. Granted, they will take the liberty to do a free diagnostic on the car and come up with over $ 1,000 of fixes (which they did to me as well).
Oh, I also had my brakes done here (you know, the whole lifetime brake thing) and they came out squeaking like a mouse. For break specialists, that sure is an odd result seeing that they didn’t squeak when i took the car there to get them changed.
But I digress. If they still have the oil change special, that’s a pretty darn good deal. You can get the rest of your car essentials taken care of somewhere else.
