I thought the process was going to be incredibly drawn out and painful but I’m happy to report it went incredibly smoothly and expeditiously. Felicia Lucero started our divorce mediation with what appeared to be honest, unbiased, solid legal advice. Over time, after requesting mediation sessions to discuss increasing my timeshare with our child, I saw another side of Felicia, one in which I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Between making it nearly impossible to meet for mediation, literally not allowing me to speak in sessions, and clearly not taking an unbiased or fair approach, I came to feel as though I were having discussions with my ex and my ex’s hired lawyer. The lack of professionalism and extremely biased approach was astonishing. I don’t throw this term around lightly, and never have felt this way in my life, but got a very strong impression of sexism. This was the worst imaginable mediation experience, and I would have been far better off going to court and at least being heard. If you are concerned about fairness, this is not the place to go.

I had another lawyer in the past who got the job done however, did not secure the financial future for my kids and myself. 6 years after my divorce my ex-​husband served me papers because he did not want to pay child support anymore. I feel inclined to give a shout out to David Luca just in case you are looking for a great family lawyer. So far he has exceeded my expectations.
One of the the many things I appreciate about David is that he is not super super aggressive and pushy. Don’t get me wrong, he will battle it out for you if it comes to that. However, he remains professional throughout, cooler heads always prevail!
If you are dealing with someone and his/​her lawyer who can be downright nasty, David will put them in their place. Anyhow, throughout all the stresses and tears, I really felt like he has had my back.
I know lawyers aren’t cheap but I feel David has been worth every penny thus far.

I hired Felicia Lucero to be my divorce case attorney around July 2011 who was introduced by one of my friends. My ex is a very irresponsible father, he repeated told everybody that he wants to make sure kept everything to himself and left me and both our two minors nothing. Even we have over 1.3 million community funds and an over a million dollars community property plus our family painting business which made $ 300,000.00 each year profits. During our 9 years marriage, we try very hard to build up these community assets.
When I first met with Felicia, she told me that she would help me to hire a CPA to calculate my fair share and request my ex to pay back my reimbursement. After I pay her $ 5,000 attorney fees, and later another $ 3,000 she totally changed her attitude to me, she turned it over to request and force me with our two minors move out the house, when I question her where we can move? We will be homeless, she shouted at me many times in her office, she use «shut up and F words» to yelling at me. I always left her office with my tears. In the court all I saw she was flirting with my ex’s attorney, and never fight for me. She force me to sign the offer my ex’s attorney offered which was my ex kept everything, I and our 6 years old minors has nothing.
My ex refused to pay half the cost for our Children’s any activities, I provide Felicia all the receipt for our kid’s summer program, but she forgets to add on and later she told me she lost it at somewhere. She forgets attended my court appearance. When I check court internet I found it out, I called her, she told me she went there, than I call the courtroom, the clerk told me no one was showed up at that day. Then I called her again, she lied to me said she went there and she charged me for all the untrue things. Before my Settlement Office Conference date, I requested her for all our assets documents so I can hire my own CPA, but she never asked my ex and get those document back to me. After she received the proposal and CPA result from my ex, she didn’t even notice me or discuss with me. The day before the SOC, I called her office for 3 times and e-​mailed her to ask her to confirm the SOC date, she didn’t response me till 9:30 pm. On SOC, my ex offered me move out our house with 0 dollar, she told me I should accept the offer, and I should move out with our two minors to be a homeless. I couldn’t believe my ears, looks like she is working for my ex. She never care of our two minors.
Felicia is the worst attorney I ever met; the experience with her was a nightmare. You have to very be careful to hire an attorney to represent to you. All she did is charge your money and help other party to choose the easiest way force you to settle.

I have hired Dennis for several years now (off and on) with an exhusband who is a prick. Dennis listened to my questions and concerns. He gave me honest (sometimes things we don’t want to hear) answers and solutions to my problems. He was upfront about costs and told me what to do to cut them. Felicia had to show up at one of the court motions for Dennis and she did an excellent job — considering I had never spoken with her prior to seeing her in court. I was impressed with her.
As far as their paralegal she is wonderful. Again, she listened to me and gave me honest, upfront answers. They always did what I wanted to do. I have recommended numerous friends and all have been happy. Other reviewers complain about the cost, however, I have found that they are all about the same. So for me, I want MY attorney to be able to stand up to my prick of an exhusband, not cower to him and help him out —as my prior attorney did.

I have to agree with the prior review that the services at this office are expensive. I disagree with all the rest. Yes it is an expensive law office but I could say that all the money I spent were worth it. Mr. Dennis and Mr David handled my case for almost four years.
I had four other attorneys: three prior and one after one year. I returned to their office when I realized that the office that was advertising a cheaper price was actually more expensive and their experience wasn’t that good. Luca’s office had to clean the mess that other attorney did during two representations and charge me nothing for this. I moved to another county and choose to keep their office to represent me in the future as well if will be needed for the custody.
Yes their services are expensive but they will never advise you to do something if they are sure they will lose. Many times I have asked for certain things and they told me in the first place I have no chance of winning. I took their advice most of the times and when I didn’t follow their directions, I lost. I have learned that trusting your attorney is the first step of winning, if we can call win when is about divorce and custody.
If you have any chance of arranging things between you and your ex this is the best way to go and not spend anything. If not choose Luca’s office.

David Luca, along with his father Dennis Luca, have a serious crease in their sense of right and wrong. They both are concerned with their incoming cash flow, that is their only concern. They will work the system to maximize their gains without regard to their clients outcome, their client is only a vehicle to extract money, they will chew you up and spit you out!

David is a knowledgeable and thoroughly professional lawyer as well as an understanding and supportive person. He explains all of your options clearly, he listens and provides feedback and finally carries out your plan. He is a great negotiator, knows his way around finances, and can be patient and let time play its part when you need to let the other side make a move. He represents your interests completely, without resorting to unprofessional or theatrical behavior — my impression is that the judges respect that and listen to his recommendations while almost ignoring the lawyer on the other side.
I would recommend David to anyone who wants a lawyer who really knows his stuff and keeps your best interests at heart. He handled my messy divorce/​domestic violence situation in a very helpful and tactful manner, and was able to reduce my spousal support to my ex and eventually get it waived, while supporting my restraining order extension travails. He has many talents and he handles diverse types of cases, both civil and criminal.
