I can’t recommend this place. The food just isn’t that great and the lack of customers proves it.
As soon as you walk in, it’ll feel unsanitary and cold.
I’ve been here twice during prime dinner time and this place was empty. You’ll just be standing in front of the cashier looking at the wall behind her to figure out what to order.
I’ve tried their musubi and it was nothing special. Just a fatty piece of meat with sauce drenched over it. I couldn’t eat it with my hands so I looked around the store for utencils to no avail.

Great customer service, parking was simple. They are extremely generous with portions when serving you the meal you ordered. Great taste and will be going to this location again!
I’m not sure who all the other people were complaining about but all the prior complaints I did not notice at all!
Maybe some people just like to complain but I’ve got no complaints from here!

A nice little spot to grab some Hawaiian bbq next to my house. Place is very very generous with their portions and their staff are really nice people who genuine seem to work hard to make sure you enjoy their product and services. Come down and try this place!

ZERO STARS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I just got off the phone with somebody here named «Anna» who claims she does not speak English. She then goes and asks if I speak Chinese or Spanish. I say no and she hangs up on me without any warninng! Then I call back and she says sorry she does not understand English, and if I wanted to speak to somebody that spoke Spanish. I only know basic Spanish from high school, so I figured it was worth a shot, better than speaking with this lady! So I told her put somebody on the phone who spoke Spanish, and she says hang on. Not even a few seconds and ITS THE SAME LADY but she is mixing Spanish with Chinese! Are you F*cking kidding me?! What kind of establishment does not have ANYBODY on duty who speaks English and expect to run a business?! I’m sorry L&L, but you just lost out on a huge order because I was calling to order big trays for a party this weekend.

Was in the area so decided to grab some L&L! Haven’t had L&L in a while, so I was really looking forward to eating! Ordered a regular BBQ chicken and it came with rice and macaroni salad! I usually love the mac salad, but the flavor here was kind of off, even the chicken was lacking flavor :(Maybe I haven’t had L&L in a while so it tasted different, but eh it wasn’t that great — I still ate it! Also, parking here kind of sucks. Not a lot of parking spaces with so many stores in the same center. I probably won’t be back to this L&L location :(

Very disappointed with this L&L. Got the loco moco and it was flavorless and the beef was like a cafeteria patty. Not Hawaiian hamburger steak. My mac salad was also warm. I hope people don’t come in here and think this is what Hawaiian food is like.

The food is always fresh and satisfying. Taste just like Hawaii, even though I wouldn’t know, but food is just sooo great I feel like I’m tasting the real thing.
Service is great too, the cashier, don’t know her name is always so nice and attentive.

Went in, we were first in line at the cashier; the guy at cashier looked at us 3 times! No hello, no «give me a min» or «just a moment», completely ignored us when we were standing right in front of him (he was slowing calling the order numbers).
So, we left. No wonder they don’t get high ratings.

This is my go to place for Chicken Katsu! ^^ The mini size portion is usually enough for me. They give plenty of meat and the food is always hot. The service is pretty good as well.

Food doesnt taste fresh! Everything tastes generic & I was pretty upset about even the mayo being generic! Nothing like Best Foods! I dont know what this brand was but I wont be coming here again. Dang, should’ve read the reviews before I drove all the way over here!

First time at this place and the young girl with no lenses glasses who was working is so rude; on her phone, has a bitch face on like she hates her job. The order was taking a while, more then usual, and so I ask if it’s almost ready and she says «no. «and turns away to help someone else so then I said alright «well how much longer» and she just said «5 mins. «horrible service on her part.

Parking lot is small! But their food tastes so good it’s worth waiting for a parking spot to open up. You can call in and order to go and come in to pick up. One girl isn’t the nicest but I guess I wouldn’t love working near cooking food all day either. They have you pay for extra sauces that come in the small plastic cups. But they’re the bigger than usual plastic cups if you know what I mean. I love their Mac n cheese, chicken katsu, and can’t complain about white rice! Might not be the healthiest but it all tastes so good and it’s cooked quite fast after you order.

Horrible service and especially the food doesn’t seem like it’s fresh and the meat especially the patties aren’t the best quality of choice either and I think here a few times small dirty and Ted day I’m actually writing a review because I see mold on top of my egg white that is weird!!!
Why would your eggs be molding already if they are cooked?
Never coming here again don’t I warn you this is the worst of all Hawaiian barbecue places

This L&L is my go-​to hawaiian craving place since it’s so close to home. I could probably walk here if my stomach told me to. I’ve never encountered any problems here. The cashier sure doesn’t greet you, but they sure do delivery you the food to the table you’re waiting in.
I’ve never had my food messed up nor taste horrible. Every time I get home and open the box of deliciousness that filled my car with such yummy aroma, I am satisfied. Their macaroni salad gets me weak in the knees.

I have been on a Hawaiian fast food streak.
Came here and got the small chicken katsu and beef short ribs. Not sure why they have received such bad rap for the chicken katsu in the past but it was cooked perfectly — golden brown and crispy on the outside and extremely juicy on the inside. Dip them in their signature BBQ sauce and I was in heaven!
As for the beef short ribs, they tasted a bit bland not having enough time to marinade perhaps. They were still tender but lacking flavor. Not bad but could have been better.
Nonetheless, the chicken katsu was phenomenal and the mac salad always put a smile on my face at the end :-)

I haven’t revised this place since 2010.
I probably haven’t been back here for almost a year & I know why!
SERVICE:
It’s a Friday and you walk in during dinner time and they have 1 register person & 1 cook. How in the hell do they only have 2 employees? So, of course the wait is terribly long.
I never learn too. I come here and wait five billion hours for my food.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
The lady this time was so annoyingly rude. I could badly hear her when she spoke to me. When I gave her my card, she would not reach out to grab it or even stretch her arm out to hand it to me. I had to meet her over her register. It was just weird. I don’t understand why she was handing me my card half way.
FOOD:
It’s the same every time. I mean, there are no complaints here. It’s basically the same quality at each place. Sometimes the mac has more mayo here or there, but basically the same.
TIPS:
You want to wait forever? Come here.
Want crappy service? Come here.
They do serve the Ramen Burger here if you wanna try it.

This place is A LOT cleaner than the one on Calaveras.
Food is alright. Nothing fancy. Don’t make your order too complex, otherwise they’ll mess it up lol. You definitely can’t go wrong with their chicken katsu or their bbq mixed plate. Everytime I order, they always get it spot on.
It is definitely worth the money though. In my IMO, you get more than what you pay.

DEAD. COCKROACH. ON. THE. FLOOR.
Seems they don’t sweep or mop much? I still wonder how long the cockroach was there for. I ordered to go, but the cockroach experience has kept me from this L&L location since that incident.
The upside? They give pretty good portions for chicken katsu and the katsu isn’t over-​fried like most places.
That dead cockroach though.
