KritR SitR is the best pet-​sitting service in the San Jose area. Janell has taken care of my two cats several times and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again. I have recommended her to many cat-​owning friends and all of them were also delighted. Unlike many pet sitters who offer initial home visits, Janell picks up on what you need and want from a pet sitter. She works hard to make sure your pets, and you, have the best possible experience with her services. She’s reliable, honest, professional, and a really nice person to be around.

I had Janell watch my little dog for a week and she was great! She was very communicative about his week and his activities, and very good about making sure that he was happy (she even took him to play with some of her dogs when he was lonely). When I came back, I could definitely tell that he was well taken care of!
She does an initial home visit/​consultation to meet with you and your pet, and find out about all routines, supply locations and all that. She’s bonded and insured, certified by the National Association of Professional Pet-​Sitters and is very reliable! I would definitely use her again!

We’ve been using KritR SitR (Janell) for in-​home pet-​sitting whenever we go out of town for almost 3 years now. Janell is absolutely fantastic! She is very reliable and has always taken great care of our pets and home!
When you first contact her, she will come to your home for an initial consultation during which time she will meet you and your pets, learn where the pet supplies are located in your home, provide references, and answer any questions. We were able to contact all but one of her references, and they had great things to say about her.
While we are gone, we usually have her visit once a day (for about ½ hour each visit). You can do multiple visits in a day. Normally, at the end of our trip, she leaves us a note to let us know how everything went. For longer trips, she will occasionally email/​text us to let us know how everything is going.
I feel much better being away from home knowing that Janell is caring for our pets and watching our home for us. I highly recommend her!
