I’ve used Juan’s services for years for a spit shine on boots. For a high quality shine, I would recommend Juan to anyone.

I brought 2 pair to Juan on a day he wasn’t going to work, but happened to be there. I said I could come back but he insisted he could still shine the shoes. 2 hours later, he called me and they looked great!

Juan is the best. I have an academy inspection coming up and he got me in for two pairs on no-​notice.
Both pairs came out looking fantastic. This is a traditional «spit-​shine,» so no need to worry about if it’ll work for your fire/​ems/​police academy. He only charged me 10 bucks a pair, however they looked so good I gave him a substantial tip. I’m posting a picture of my «field» boots that I’m wearing now, after two days of wearing them for training.
One comment though, he does this workout while he shines them so don’t be surprised when he starts doing random exercises while working on your boots.

Juan is cheerful and a wonderful shoe doctor. He made my shoes look 10 times better than previous. I enjoy talking w him.

Juan is the best, most consistent, friendliest shoe shiner in the bay area. You can’t go wrong with him. I have been coming to him for a few years now.

Did an amazing job.

Went there today hoping to repair my shoes. But found it only does shining. So the store name and reviews here are a bit misleading.
Anyhow, Juan seems to be a nice person and he referred me to a ‘real’ shoe repair store.
Another caveat is parking is very challenging there.

This guy is great! So glad I was able to find this place. I just bought a pair of Bates Ultra Lites that needed to be shined before I went to the Police Academy. Thank god! They absolutely passed inspection and I owe it to Juan the shoe Doctor! I will definitely be back with my work boots soon, this time hopefully he will let me watch him do it so I can try. Again as most people say, the parking here is very limited at times since it is inside a gas station but it is worth the struggle! I believe he uses Lincoln Stain Wax Shoe Polish. Thanks again Juan the shoe MASTER! By the way, he’s nice too!

Just had to say that Juan did a great job. I took in two dress shoes and a chelsea boot and all three has got that new look to em. I dropped them off in the afternoon and got em back the next day during lunch. They look new and scuffs are gone. Now keep in mind its at a gas station/​car wash and parking can be scarce, but its so worth it. He gets the stars also because he wrapped em in a plastic bag and put newspaper in between the shoes to prevent scuffs. Good job, Juan!

Heaven-​sent. Juan fixed my shoes up nicely after months of being banged up on the dance floor. They had major scuffs everywhere that I honestly thought was going to be a lost cause. Read the great reviews and brought my old pair here and dropped them off to be picked up the next day. Came back to beautiful shoes that rivals the day I got them. $ 6 is a small price to pay to look this good.
The only thing that I dislike is the bad traffic and lack of parking at this busy gas station/​car wash combo.

The only way I can figure Juan is able to make boots shine the way they do is because they are telling him what they need, and he is listening!
Juan is amazing at his craft and the times I have been at his location he always has at least one or more customers waiting for the classic shoe shine and folks like me dropping off their boots. Juan is candid, if you have a problem with your shoes, he will tell you, and he will tell you what needs to be done to resolve the problem; the guy is a total pro!
Today when I picked up my boots, I had dropped off the day before, one of the local cops was picking up her and her partners boots since they had an inspection coming up. All our boots were AMAZING! He only charges $ 8 for his boot shine craft, which is a steal for what you get!
If you need your shoes shined, go see Juan, you won’t regret it!

This is my first time to have my shoe shined, and Juanito did an excellent job shining my shoe. He was detailed-​oriented, and hardworking. I could bring my shoe back to where I bought it, and return it for a full refund without being questioned — of course I am not going to, but my point is– he is this good !
I always have high expectation on people (from restaurant food, car wash to any kind of services), but with Juanito, he did more than I expected. An A+ grade job that he provided. I will bring two more pairs of shoes for him soon.
