History

Established in 1985.

This practice was established in 1963. In August 1999 the origninal owner retired and Dr. Joan M Haas stepped in. While continuing to work closely with the retired dentist, Dr. Haas built a relationship with the original patients and their families, while still accepting new patients. In 2005 after a successful carreer, the dentist next door retired. Dr. Haas assumed the care of his patients. Today Dr. Haas cares for some of the original patients and their grandchildren!

Dr. Joan Haas was born in San Francisco on May 5th 1958. She graduated from Los Altos High in 1976, did her undergraduate work in mathamatics at UC Berkeley. In 1984 she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Haas now resides in Mountain View with her husband, two children, a bird and a bunny. In her downtime she enjoys classical music and gardening.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Haas for years and she is a wonderful dentist! She is kind, gentle, and does a great job with cleaning, cavities, crowns, you name it! She always explains any procedures and is very thorough. I would highly recommend her!

Joan is a fantastic dentist. I went to her when she was in San Francisco years ago at the suggestion of a friend. It was a great decision. I recommended her to my friends ever since.
For example, once a coworker was discussing her recent trip to another dentist and their diagnosis that she had numerous cavities; this sounded shady to me. I suggested she go see Dr. Haas, which she did and Joan determined she did NOT have numerous cavities and saved her a ton of money and trouble.
TO THE GENTLEMAN that left the NEGATIVE REVIEW ABOUT HIS CREDIT REPORT:
1) Would it be fair to say your wife messed up your credit report not this highly professional dentist?
2) Would it be fair to say the dentist performed services and was not paid?
3) Would it not make more sense for you to address your frustration at the guilty party not a business owner who did not get paid for there services? This is a great honest dentist and I suggest to you that your your negative review should be directed at your ex wife not this great business owner who helps out a lot of people.

So they still will not fix my credit report for my divorced wives’s failure to pay HER BILLS.
HER bills not my bill but since this office was first visited by the ‘family’ then heck, lets mess up everyone’s credit report!
Real fair, you are cold and heartless to this single dad!

Dr. Haas is so good, she gave me faith in seeing the dentist again. I used to go every 6 months until about 10 years ago. I just stopped going because the experience at the different dentists I went to were so bad, I hated going. It hurt, they were uncomfortable experiences etc. That is, until my wife had me go see Dr. Haas when I needed a crown. I didn’t have insurance and she was nice enough to put me on a payment plan that worked out great!
She was very gentile and fast, I was looking forward to returning. I just got dental insurance, just so I could go see her every 6 months for cleanings, that’s how good of an experience going to her is. I’ve had a lot of crappy dentists and Dr. Haas is the crème de la crème!
I highly recommend her!

I never thought she would know much as a dentist, but she’s surprised me. She really cares about her job and her patients. Her office is cordial and friendly. She’s a professional and good at her job. And she will not recommend a procedure to you that you don’t need. I went to have her look at a root canal that was giving me trouble, and she fixed it within minutes. I also asked her to put a crown on it within two weeks, but rather than doing that and taking my money, she asked me to wait until my root canal had settled down.
This is exactly the kind of service I want from a dentist.
