Jenny Cleaners

I’ve been going to Jenny for over a year and my experience with her was pretty good. Her prices are a bit lower than most dry cleaners in the area. Last week I brought Jenny two long dresses and four brand new Express mens button down collared shirts. Two of the four shirts were still folded with the cardboard tucked in and the other two were tried on in the dressing room but still had the tags attached. Anyway, I stressed to Jenny that EVERYTHING needed to be completed by Friday (3 days), she said «okay, no problem». I should mention there have been times in the past where some of my items were not done when she promised, not a big deal for me because at the time i lived around the corner.
So Friday comes around and I go to Jenny’s shop and she tells me the dresses are ready but the shirts were not. I wasn’t happy and told her that I asked for these to be done by Friday. She could tell that I was frustrated and she said «okay, okay, okay» then goes to the back and wraps the shirts (weird because she said they weren’t done). I take them home and the husband pointed out markings. One shirt was white and you can tell the collar was burnt from the steamer or the press machine, another shirt had a dark stain on the tip of the collar, another had water stains on the front and the fourth one was okay. I was extremely upset because I had asked for these to be done by Friday and now these brand new shirts have stain markings.
I take the shirts back to Jenny the next day and she immediately has attitude. I told her that the shirts were brand new and she tried to tell me they were not and that the stains were there from my husband and that she doesn’t know how she could put the marking there because the machine does the work… She ends up redoing the shirts and manages to get rid of the stains.
When I picked up the shirts she again had attitude and said she didn’t put the markings there but got the stains out (interesting because when I took the shirts back to her they were still on the hanger and wrapped in the plastic that she did, so why didn’t she just remove the stains to begin with?) She told me that next time I take clothing to her we will need to check for stains before she accepts… I told her there won’t be a next time.

Jenny does a fabulous job with all of our cleaning needs. She is prompt and honest. Plus, she always is friendly to chat with me when I have a minute to visit. She also offers alterations and sewing. Highly recommend.
