History

Established in 2001.

I started creating sculpture by complete accident. With the acquisition of a small welder, I began fashioning steel pieces together into interesting constructions. I have never looked back.

Jeff’s life as a metal sculptor began when his father-​in-​law, Chet, gave Jeff his oxy-​acetylene torch set and a small welder. «What the heck is that?» Jeff asked Chet. «Oh that, you wouldn’t know» he said. «That’s for welding metal.» Jeff asked, «Can I have it? You’re not using it». Chet’s gruff response, «What are you going to do with it? You don’t even know how to use it. You’ll have to get my son to show you how to use it,» only made Jeff more determined to have it. Jeff carried the oxy-​acetylene torch and welder back to San Jose and started creating. He has been working on art every since.
