Jim is very likely the most unprofessional person I have worked with recently. Of course, he does not have many people competing in the business of international taxes around here (which is surprising given how many foreigners there are in the Valley). That is the only reason I can think for him being in business after so many years.
I had him do my taxes the year I came from Spain. He missed time and again the deadlines that he himself had set. The excuses ranged from «I am very busy» to «Sorry, but I have to go on holidays». Of course, we had to ask for an extension. Still, I had to insist during the weeks before that extension was due to get the taxes done. His communication style was not only unpressional, but also arrogant, and cocky. He even told me things like «Now, can you stop bothering me?» in response to me calling him to enquire about the taxes that were due the next week. Or, he suggested I would do the taxes myself only two weeks before the extension deadline.
Even worse, when I finally got my taxes, I got absolutely no explanation where the numbers came from. I am convinced they were far from optimized, and he simply did the least he could to send me something. And, he was cheeky enough to ask for the payment right away — after I had been waiting for the taxes for more than 6 months.
Really, find someone else, or get Turbotax. Any option is better than Mr. Jim.
