Hello! As an SJSU student, it’s really convenient for me to just swing by the Student Union after a good workout and get something refreshing to snack on. I recently discovered Jamba’s new acai bowl series and decided to give it a try. I usually get the small Pitaya Bowl with an extra boost of zinc and antioxidant, which is free of cost – other locations charge an extra 50 cents for additional boosts I believe – so brownie points for that! However, because of the small space, the business does not have enough room for the other fruit toppings such as strawberries or blueberries, which are always offered at other Jamba locations. The wait is usually quite long too, as there are usually only 1 – 2 people working on 5 – 6 orders. I come back often because it’s convenient and is a bit cheaper, but I do wish they offered more than just bananas as toppings. Thanks for reading!

Note to users: they do not accept electronic gift cards. Despite the fact that the gift card clearly says that if they cannot scan the card then they can manually input the card numbers on the machine. I came to this location before and they rang me up perfectly fine. This time, somehow they claim that they cannot do it because they are some franchise. They keep stating that they cannot accept this«coupon» when clearly it is a gift card. Their gift card, none the less. They had to ask their supervisor, who said no, because they thought it was a coupon. They need to inform all their employees of the same information because clearly this giftcard does work. The fact that it took so long just to clear this up was a waste of my time in between my classes.

The only reason I go to Jamba Juice here is because I’m too lazy to walk. The wait time for the Jamba Juice is ridiculous. Usually there are only 2 workers around 12 which is like the busiest time of the day. The acai bowl I get every week taste different every time. I don’t get why it’s so hard to follow a recipe. I get that it’s busy and they work for school but come on. :/. They run out of bananas all the time too. The Mcquarie one is much better. I’m just disappointed with the new student union over all.

4⁄5 stars, due to it taking forever to get your drink after you order it. The customer service and drink quality is perfect, I just wish the people working the blenders would remember that most of their customers have a class to get to.

This review is for the location in the student union. I’ve given this jamba location a few chamces, but every time I get something here I walk away frustrated. The first time I came here I ordered one of the apples n greens smoothies and after a few minutes of waiting for it they told me actuallly they cpuldnt make it because they didn’t have any of the green juice dethawed. Ok… I had to order something else. Second time I went, I was served a smoothie that was short, came up way below the lid of the cup. Every other time I’ve come here there’s been at least three or four people behind the counter but only one person making smoothies. The others are usually talking or finding any other possible task other than getting a customer order out. Very frustrating. I’ll have to try one of the other locations next time.

There are three Jamba Juice locations on the University campus(Under MacQuirre Hall, inside the Student Union, and in Campus Village). ***This review is for the Jamba Juice located in the Student Union.*** I enjoy this location the best, as they have most of the other regular items of Jamba Juice(i.e. Oatmeal, Pastries, Nutrient Bars). The staff are great! The customer service is great! They are always friendly. During peak times when there is a large rush, they hold it down pretty well. There are a few veterans that have been there and know their stuff. Whenever I dare to venture into something different, they offer great suggestions(ask about the secret menu) and they make quality smoothies. My experience has been that they do honor and Jamba coupons.

This is by far the most disappointing Jamba I’ve ever been to. Out of maybe 4 occassions I’ve gotten 3 fuck-ups. That’s pretty bad ods. The sad thing is that it happens to be the most convenient location for me between my classees. I’m going to have to start branching out and find something else to replace my somewhat healthy mid-day snack. The first drink I got here came out perfectly fine and just like any other Jamba I’ve been to. The second however was NOTBLENDED and like CHUNKYVOMIT with huge fruit and ice pieces. It was disgusting to try and eat. The third time I went in I got the same drink that I had the previous occassion and TOLD them what had happened before. This is what landed me a watery drink that was not like a smootie in any sense of the word. It was like just cold metly diarrhea. For the last drink I’ve gotten I went back to getting something SIMPLE. An Aloha Pineapple. I figured that they couldn’t fuck that one up. But what I ended up with was something that only really tasted like bananas… which I’m not a huge fan of. I do realize there are bananas in the drink but when I get something that’s called an «Aloha Pineapple» I expect to at least TASTE the pineapple. I’m sorry, but the cuteness of the dude giving me my drink does not make up for all the disappointment and me being hungry.

It was terrible a week ago, and it’s still terrible this week. My friend wanted to get Jamba so I went with him, warning him of the terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE service here. There were 4 workers. It was the middle of the day, in the middle of class time. This means almost NOONE was there. So 2 of the 4 workers were Student Union workers, not trained to work at Jamba Juice. They took forever to make an order cause they had to ASKSOMEONE every 2 seconds. They put wrong ingredients in drinks and had to start over. They didn’t know which drink belonged to which person. They were a group of headless chickens. I friggin HATE this Jamba Juice!!!

Students work here, so you can’t alwayss expect the greatest service in the world. Drinks are just the same as any other Jamba Juice, but just more convenient for everyone especially on hot days in the deadly san jose summer heat.

This was the SECOND Jamba Juice that did not honor a gift card I received from one of my third grade students as a gift. Are you kidding me? The company will gladly take one’s money and then happily not honor the fact that they did. I contacted the corporate office and they said to check the website before going into a store with a gift card since many of them don’t honor them. Off to buy a blender and do it myself.

OK, OK, I’m not usually a fan of the .feel good happy happy eat this grass tasting crap cuz its good for you type of place. However my wife has been bringing home jamba juice for about a year now for us. «in her defense she has liked it for years» I did find myself liking the drinks she brought me on late nights when I was stuck at work. Today was actually my first trip into one on my own. I was ready for a real annoying Hello I’m Mr. smiles type of vibe, but the people at the counter were friendly«but not overly fake friendly» and even suggested a wrap to go with the juice and since they were running a special I would get 2 drinks and a wrap for the price of one drink and a wrap. So what the hey right, I grab a Asian chicken wrap . I’m still not sold on the whole drink my liquid grass concoction, with added fiber/energy/and all that. But as smoothies go, they do make em pretty tasty. and my wife’s mom seemed to like the Asian wrap…(you didn’t think I would actually eat that thing did ya).LOL

These guys are actually properly trained and are always friendly. I’ve never had to go back for a mistake smoothie unlike some other Jamba Juices I have been to in the past similar to the one in Serramonte. I used to go here 3x a day when I was a freshman, since we could use our meal plans at the restaurants. I ended up intaking 1500% of my Vitamin C Daily b/c all I got was the Coldbuster.

ah, it’s so convenient to have jamba juice on campus. i didn’t get a chance to eat dinner before my class, so i stopped on by and ordered a orange dream machine. tastes just like an orange julius, only thicker. jamba juice takes me back to davis times. when it was hot, my wife(then girlfriend) would go cool down with a nice smoothie. back then, i loved the peanut butter moo’d. then i found out how many calories it was. i used to get the power sized peanut butter moo’d too. no wonder i gained weight…

This is the first Jamba Juice I could find that was able to produce the off-menu«Peanut Butter & Jelly» smoothie, which tasted EXACTLY like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich… only, you consume it through a straw. Note that you will be given an option of either strawberry or blueberry«jelly.» Enjoy!
