I’ve emailed living social twice about the scam from this company and have gotten no response. They don’t answer when you try to call and use the airport transit deal. It’s SOOO frustrating!

Tried to call them to book a shuttle to SFO today and phone has been disconnected. Website no longer exists. I called LivingSocial and got a full refund for the 2 vouchers I purchased from them. What a waste of time.

Same story here. LivingSocial voucher can’t be used as the company doesn’t seem to exist.

I too fell for this SCAM via LivingSocial, bought 2 coupons back in end of July, called the 1 – 877 number this morning to redeem them, and found the number has been disconnected…

SCAM via Living Social. 1 star only because Unilocal doesn’t allow 0.
My wife and I purchased deals for J&L Transit via Living Social this summer.
Soon after the deal ran J&L’s phone was disconnected and their website discontinued. Up and vanished like a fart in the wind. There is no J&L Transit. They presumably existed only to deceive Living Social and all of their customers.
This makes me question Living Social’s standards with their vendors, such as a business’s established reputation, licensing, and/​or duration of existence.

I purchased a Living Social deal on July 26 as we were heading to Maui out of SF. I called them on Aug 8^th and I actually spoke with a guy. I told him I am calling to make an appointment, and that I have Living Social Voucher. He wasn’t too happy and said that he has been getting way too many phone calls due to this deal. My flight was for 1:30 PM but he said he can only pick us up at 9:45 AM… I’d figure no big deal, we’ll just be at SFO early. Besides you never know the traffic for 101N on Friday afternoon.
Well, I tried to call to confirm few weeks before and that’s when I know I was in trouble. Every time I called, all I got was busy tone… I tried, tried, and tried… Then I ready all the negative review on Unilocal and got really nervous.
I’ve asked my friend to please be a back up driver as I wasn’t sure if they will show up.
On the day we were suppose to be pick up @ 9:45 AM on 9/​9/​. I called all morning to confirm with no lunch… We waited until 10:30 AM and no one showed up…
Thank God for my friend who was able to take us to SFO. Otherwise, we would have missed the flight to Maui and totally ruined our vacation.
To ADD INSULT to injury… They marked my voucher used so I couldn’t get my money back from Living Social. WTF!!! (they were nice enough to give me a credit for my next purchase)
Let the word out people… DO NOT… I repeat DO NOT do any business with them…
J&L Transit… You really SUCK!!! I have never dealt with a Company sooooo UNRELIABLE!!!

This company is a scam. I also bought the LivingSocial deal and the company’s phone number is always busy.
For those of you in the same boat, just call LivingSocial for a refund, they should have no problem giving you a refund now that we’ve put up so many complaints.

Similar to other posts, I bought the livingsocial deal weeks ago but was never able to reach J&L transit! I called livingsocial today and they refunded the entire charge to my card — easy. They also said that J&L has now been blacklisted on their vendors list. If you bought this deal and are unable to use it call livingsocial ASAP for your refund.

I’m also a victim of that Living Social deal. I never got through to J&L because their voicemail box was always full. I called Living Social who offered a Living Social credit at first, but I asked for an actual refund and they gave it to me.
I’m guessing Living Social will recover from the occasional poorly structured deal like this, but it’s going to take a lot for J&L to dig themselves out of this reputation hole. Both companies deserve 1 star for this fiasco.

I too, purchased my vouchers on Living Social. DO NOT use this company. I tried for weeks to get a hold of them. Should have given me a clue right there. I finally booked a pick up at SFO and not only were they a complete no show, their voice mail box was full. After traveling back from New York I just wanted to get home. I walked to the Super Shuttle stand and got a van within five minutes.
This shuttle service should not be in business, do not use them.

I bought a few Living Social coupons for this company a few weeks ago. I kept getting the recording that they would be taking bookings at a later date. After reading reviews on Unilocal,I realized that it wasn’t worth the hassle of trying to get hold of a company that doesn’t care about their customer service. If you look on here, it’s all reviews how they are unreliable. I don’t need to get stuck at the airport or risk them not showing up and missing my flight.
Therefore, I returned my coupons as they didn’t want my business. I saw that they had a fb page when I signed up for the deal but that has since been taken down.
Would NOT recommend this company.

This is the worst livingsocial coupon I bought. No one answer the call, can’t even make a reservation. Laready call living social for refund

Bought 2 LivingSocial vouchers for this co. The company cannot be reached to book travel. Called, used the webform, etc., no response. LivingSocial gave me a refund literally 10 minutes after I sent them an email – there must be a ton of people who have been having the same problem.

I met the supposed owner through a networking group. Seemed like a good enough guy. I referred him to a relative and also booked a ride to SJC. My relative also booked a ride for the same flight. Our driver arrived early and drove us to the airport, no problem. About 45 minutes before the plane was to fly, I get a call from my relative. J & L was a no show! Could not get a live person, voice mail box was full. I tried calling another number the guy had given me to confirm our ride. It was an insurance company? I left as nice a message as I could under the circumstances. Never heard back from anyone.
When we returned from our trip i was nervous to say the least but our ride was there waiting for us. We told the driver what happened to the relative we referred and he said he would speak to the owner and have him call. Never heard anything. I think they got overwhelmed by the living social deal but if you are a transportation business you simply cannot bail on a commitment like that.

I bought a number of vouchers through Living Social for this company. Since I have yet to be able to redeem a single one, I can only review their customer service.
— You can’t get ahold of them to save you life
— They are unreliable. They recorded my ride for AM instead of PM.
— They are super unreliable. They told me on the phone that I had a ride scheduled. I volunteered to send them an email with all my details to be helpful, even though I had already received confirmation over the phone and given all the details. They wrote in-​line in plain text in my email that one ride was not confirmed, but made absolutely no effort in their email to mention that any rides – which were all already confirmed on the phone – were suddenly not, or any mention that they had written things in-​line in my email.
— They are unwilling to work with you. I spoke with a woman Patty who claims to be the manager. She does not feel that they have done anything wrong, and won’t work with me to try to find a way to get me the ride they promised me.
— They are rude. After all that, I asked if she thought there was anything wrong with the way they did business. She does not think so. She will not apologize.
Find someone else to do business with; these people are not worth the headache.

I bought their voucher on Living Social for a $ 19 ride to the airport from anywhere in Santa Clara County for up to 3 people. I thought this was a fabulous deal, since SuperShuttle (the cheapest option I know of) is $ 36 for two people from the peninsula to SFO. However, since I was primarily interested in using the vouchers on 2 trips in the next couple weeks, I called them before buying and asked if I could use the vouchers on a trip that weekend (July 29^th). They said they were all booked up for that weekend, which is understandable. I asked if I could use the vouchers for a trip to the airport on August 4^th. They said I could and made a reservation for me. They took my name, time of the flight and contact # but not my pick-​up address, and said they would call back to get all the info from me later. I then went ahead and bought several vouchers.
I never heard back from them. When I got back from the first trip on August 1^st, I began trying to get in touch with them to see if I had a ride to the airport on August 4^th. I tried their number (the one listed above) multiple times but could not get through to them due to the high volume of calls and their mailbox being full (and no one ever answered the phone in person). When I had first googled them they had a facebook page with a different number that I used to get through, but that appears to be taken down now… kind of sketchy, if you ask me. I also sent emails to them. I did get a call from one person but he left a voicemail for me and when I called him back at the number he left on my voicemail, it was an insurance company (!?). I did leave a voicemail at the insurance company and did not hear back from him again. Finally on August 3^rd, I gave up and made a reservation with a different shuttle company, since I had to have some guarantee I was going to get to the airport. I called them one more time and their voicemail told me that they were full through August 8^th and not accepting reservations until after that time period — except I had supposedly already made a reservation with them!
Fortunately Living Social is an awesome company and refunded my money with no hassles, and all I’ve lost is the possibility of some cheap rides to the airport. Even if I hadn’t wanted to use the voucher immediately, I would now be very leery of using this company, since I have had such difficulty contacting a human being here. Beware: if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I have been calling them for two weeks already and their message says to call a certain time. When I call the time they indicated, I get the same message. Their VM is full and their office address is fake. I tried going in person and their address doesn’t exist. I don’t only blame J&L for this, but LivingSocial as well for letting such irresponsible compant advertise with them.

I bought two living social vouchers from J & L Transit and I have been calling repeatedly for days now trying to make a booking. All I keep hearing is a recorded message stating that they are currently not taking any bookings and for me to call back in a week! I specifically bought these vouchers so I could use them for an upcoming trip to the airport.

I bought a Living Social deal for this company about 2 weeks ago. I’ve been unable to reach any live person for a week now to book a taxi. Their voicemail just keeps saying call back in a week!
The only reason I gave them any stars is that they atleast have clean air vehicles.
