Friendly and good service

I had an amazing trip to Dr Lin’s office. It’s like getting your teeth checked out and learning about them at the same time! Very informative and it is much better than just sitting there and getting your teeth cleaned. 100% would recommend.

I’ve been to quiet a few dentist over the years and Dr Lins office is my favorite. I feel so comfortable here, and I trust them so much, that I also bring my son here now. Dr. Issac Lin really knows how to many you feel comfortable and spends his time with you, as well as his hygienist and let’s not forget the receptionist! I normally deal with Debbie and she’s always a sweetheart. Everyone at this office is great. They have updated technology as well, and my 6 year old son loves going to the dentist now — even after Dr Lin filled in a cavity for him!

My wife and I moved into the area last year and were looking around on Unilocal for a good dentist. We went to Dr. Lin based on the terrific Unilocal reviews. In a nutshell, we can totally see why he gets such awesome ratings. Dr. Lin is easily the best dentist we’ve ever gone to. He is compassionate, energentic, and funny as heck. I’ve never had any dentist go so far out of his way to make sure that I was comfortable, fully understood what was going on and what my options were, and take the extra time to answer all of my questions (and then some). The guy is awesome in every way. I never thought I’d ever actually look forward to going to the dentist — and I still dread the idea of getting fillings or other dental work — but I really do look forward to seeing Dr. Lin, if only because he’s such a great person to spend an hour of your life with every few months.

I don’t know why I’ve never given Dr Lin a review. He’s been my dentist since 2005. He’s fun, energetic, and his staff is the same. Love them all like family and wouldn’t change even if it meant paying out of pocket. Office is clean and quiet.

Five stars means something along the lines of, «As good as it gets.» I can’t say I’ve ever given this rating to one of my dentists before. I mean, they’ve all been FINE, but they didn’t exceed expectations. A hygienist would come in, clean my teeth, tell me to floss more and then set me loose with a tiny tube of toothpaste. Sometimes I’d actually meet my dentist. Usually not.
The trip to Dr. Lin’s office was another thing entirely. For one, they told me that the initial visit can take up to two hours, or more, so set aside a fair bit of time.
Before I continue, let’s break this down for a second. I like having my teeth cleaned. That fresh, smooth feeling you have post scaling. The positive reinforcement that whatever crazy-​ass thing you’re doing with your sonic toothbrush is paying off. Maybe it’s because I’ve never had dental issues (aside from an unpleasant 10 months with braces back in the day). But whatever, going to the dentist is enjoyable.
But two hours seemed a bit excessive. Was this going to result in a thousand dollars of «critical» «immediate» work?
Nope. It’s just thorough. After a typical cleaning by a very friendly and knowledgable hygienist, Sue, I got a detailed lecture on the risks and causes of gum disease. I got a mouth/​neck cancer screening. I got a detailed explanation of what each of my teeth is dealing with. After this, Dr. Lin sat down with me and talked about my general health. He used a laser to investigate a few problem areas — Things to keep an eye on. Nothing that requires intervention.
I really enjoyed my trip here and I feel good knowing that my mouth is in good shape. I’ll happily return in six months.

I never had such a bright and positive experience at a dentist office before. The fact is that I used to postpone my appointments until it was absolutely necessary to visit a dentist. With Dr. Lin, My visit was awesome and I am shocked that I actually went for a cavity to be filled. I am always nervous about the anesthesia part but with Dr. Lin it wasn’t too hard. Of course I had to invite my husband to be with me as I am very scared of numb feeling. Dr. Lin explained each and every part of the filling as he was working on my tooth and that made me feel very comfortable. I honestly want to thank him for that.
I found him very helpful and funny at the same time. I felt at ease throughout any procedures that were performed. To add Debbie and other staff is super nice too.

Positive, competent and efficient! I have never had a dentist like this before. I definitely recommend him as a dentist.

My husband and I went to him based on all the reviews here but unfortunately we had a very bad experience. My husband went for a general cavity filling and despite of my husband not asking him to, he decided to give him a shot in the nerve. And he pinched my husband’s nerve. As a result my husband has ended up with a permanent damage on his tongue with loss of sensation and permanent numbness on part of his tongue. Do not even bother going to this doctor! I have warned all the people at my work as well not to go to him.

Dr. Lin and his staff are awesome. I went in today for to get an old filling replaced that was bugging me. Every time I go in I’m continually impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of his staff. Today I was reminded of why I come from San Francisco to see Dr. Lin — he is funny, kind, knowledgeable, and makes you feel completely comfortable even in the most awkward of situations (sitting there for an hour with your mouth pried open). He is also very honest about what services he recommends to his patients; his trustworthiness is obvious from the moment you meet him. I am very happy with the results of my appointment and would highly recommend Dr. Lin to anyone searching for a new dentist.

WOW! Just, WOW. I’ve never had such a positive experience at the dentist’s office. From the moment I walked through the door — scratch that — from the moment I called to see if they were taking new patients, I felt welcomed and put at ease. The staff here are all «people persons.» Everyone was great, and Dr. Lin was amazing! After my initial cleaning with the hygienist, he spent a great deal of time with me in a separate area (even ran over into the beginning of his lunch) talking about my overall dental health picture, my goals, and a plan to get there. His office has some really cool, new, «state of the art» toys that make the usual dental unpleasantries (x-​rays, anyone?) a snap.
If I could give this office 10 stars, I would. Thanks Dr. Lin and company!!!

They’ll even walk you through and explain everything they are doing while they clean/​work on your teeth if you’re a curious nerd like me, haha. Super helpful figuring out and processing your insurance, etc. as well. Super nice staff!

Let me preface by saying I hated hated and dreaded going to the dentist… until I met Dr. Lin.
He has made me so happy that I tell everyone about him. He has state of the art cameras so you clearly see your teeth candidly instead of an unclear x ray. He is patient, friendly, professional, and I trust him 100%. When he took out my back tooth he applied the needle with the anesthesia and I didn’t feel it. I asked him how he did it and he explained that when he went to dental school he took extra classes on applying the anesthesia. And boy when I went in for a deep cleaning I asked him to take care of the anesthesia and it was painless. I am ecstatic that I found the perfect dentist for our family. He is very honest and won’t steer you the wrong way and he ensures that his customers receive the best care. The best

My favorite dentist of all time and I have seen a few in my short years. I had my wisdom teeth pulled a few months ago and the healing process is taking its sweet time, the doctor checked up on me numerous times and I could not be happier with his service.

Thanks to this man I’m no longer afraid of the Dentist!
Where to start? I have not been for a check-​up in about 3 year,. so I knew looking for a new DDS was going to be a task. However, thanks to Issac and crew I now feel like I’m well taken care of.
They took care of my cavity, and went step by step. Not just drill away and not a peep on what is going on. Check up, x-​rays, and cleaning also done.
Issac was able to get my 2 year old on the chair for a quick look, and now she LOVES visiting the dentist.
Worked and suggested what I should work on first with my annual dental plan.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Lin for 3+ years now. He is awesome — very patient and willing to explain everything and show you pictures /​mirrors so you can see what’s wrong. He is good about giving you realistic options — he doesn’t quite rush into doing dental work that’s not needed.
Dr. Lin’s office person — Debbie — is a genius with insurance plans and knowing how to save you some $$.
Highly recommended.

I really really really didn’t want to go to the dentist. I haven’t been to the dentist in 4 years! I was recommended to Dr. Lin from a friend and I am glad that I came here.
Dr. LIn was very gentle and explained to me what was going on, step by step. They have these really cool cameras and monitors. He uses the small camera to take pictures of your teeth and shows them to you on the monitor. Kinda gross to see your teeth close up but way interesting.
I had a filling done and was also very scared about getting the shot done. He was very good at giving the shot and it didn’t hurt at all.
He also went out of his way to call me later on that week when I asked about dentists that work with special needs people.
I recommend Dr. Lin to everyone! He really cares about his patients!

I’ve been going to Dr. Lin for several months now and I have to say he is fantastic! (Even if he is kind of a Blackhawks fan) I discovered Dr. Lin through Unilocal — thanks Unilocal — looking for a dentist that provided Nitrous. Dr. Lin absolutely lives up to his 5 star rating. My first visit was a cleaning with Sue one his his hygienists. Sue is great and said she would be able to wean me off of nitrous for my cleanings… I have to say she have a very good chance of it. Sue was very thorough and gentle…
I’ve seen Dr. Lin a few times for teeth problems and have always thought he was great but this weekend pushed him over the top! I had an old molar break late in the day on a Friday. The next morning my husband convinced me to call the dentist. I did and within 5 – 10 minutes Dr. Lin had called me back! We talked about the tooth and I really didn’t want to make him come in on a weekend — selfishly I didn’t want to go in either. As it turns out I should have gone in since the Sharks lost! Anyway — so much to my surprise Dr. Lin called me again on Sunday morning to see how I was doing! Incredible!
Got my tooth fixed yesterday and again, great care, great office, good nitrous and I am a happy camper. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Lin and his staff…
