Ian Lennard, DDS MS

We have been seeing Dr. Lennard and his staff for awhile now, and have been very happy.
From the original consult for my son, Dr. Lennard has been nothing but helpful, caring and professional. Another orthodontist recommended much more invasive work and lots more money for my son’s plan, but Dr. Lennard’s methods have been more conservative (and less painful) and we couldn’t be happier with the results we are seeing or the cost!
We are now in the middle of my son’s second phase and everything has been incredibly easy. Julie keeps track of appointments and all the insurance and financials like a pro, making it super easy for me. And Robin and Celi are true professionals, keeping the kids relaxed as they work on them. And everyone communicates to the parents AND the kids what they need to do, helping alleviate the fights at home over proper care! The feeling in the office is very comfortable and friendly, like visiting neighborhood friends!
I cannot recommend Dr. Lennard and his staff highly enough!

Stopped in for an evaluation his week and the office has a first class staff. Being professional is one thing however having a personality is another. Dr Lennard’s staff has both. That’s a great combination.
With his staff and his professional background I will be planning my orthodontic work Witt his office.

Dr Lennard is great with both of my kids. He’s professional, friendly and patient. He takes the time to explain what he plans to do in a way that both parent and kid understand. My son’s teeth look great thus far. I highly recommend Dr Lennard!

Dr. Lennard is a fantastic orthodontist. It’s been years since I received my treatment and I still feel as great about my smile now as I did when I left my last appointment. His staff is very welcoming and I remember always looking forward to my next appointment. His perfectionist qualities make him the perfect fit for anyone looking to improve their smile. We love Dr. Lennard! He is doing just amazing work for my 13 year old son.
My son was in great need of orthodontia work when we were first referred to Dr. Lennard. Dr. Lennard kept him on a watch list until the time was right to apply bands and braces. Then Dr. Lennard explained his approach and all the steps /​phases to me so that I understood exactly what would happen, in what order, what the effects would be and the cost of each phase.
Dr. Lennard continues this education by speaking to me personally after each visit to let me know how things are going compared to plan. Likewise Dr. Lennard speaks directly to my son to let him know what to expect in terms of hardware, sensation and outcome and answers all of his questions as well.
We are getting terrific results and could not be happier with the beautiful smile Dr. Lennard is creating. My son has already experienced increased self confidence from his improved appearance. And I trust that my investment in his smile and speech will serve him well for his entire life.
I enjoy the office atmosphere and staff too. It’s the perfect balance of causal and comfortable yet professional and competent. Julie, the office manager, is simply delightful. She is always great to visit with as your child is being seen by Dr. Lennard in the back office. And she keeps me on schedule with the nicest reminder calls.
The office location is perfect. Dr. Lennard is located right around the corner from the Safeway, Starbucks and Post Office in Almaden Valley. So while my child is being seen I can get grab a coffee or run a quick errand.
If I’m a few minutes late picking up my son, he’s happy to play the classic arcade video game in the lobby after his appointment. I would say that he can play it while he waits for his appointment to begin but Dr. Lennard has always been on time. We never have to wait for our appointment.
I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Lennard as an outstanding, very well qualified, orthodontist. You won’t be disappointed.

Wow, I can’t believe I have not written a review after 7 – 8 years of being a happy and more than satisfied patient here! I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars, honestly. Dr. Lennard and his staff are absolutely the friendliest, funniest, most comfortable, and professional staff I have been a patient of. Not only do I feel like just a patient of the office, but also a good friend which makes their office extra special. Everyone around the South San Jose/​Almaden area seems to agree and also put in their own good word regarding Dr. Lennard’s office and his work. I personally along with many friends/​family as patients of Dr. Lennard’s office have experienced successful and the best quality work. Dr. Lennard is passionate about his work and works with people of all ages. I’m always seeing nothing but happy and thankful patients coming and going. So, I’ll try keep my review short, however let me just say these guys are too awesome to fully describe in a Unilocal review. If you’re looking for a great orthodontist for your child, friend, family member, etc., and you are hesitant about finding the right orthodontist, look no further and stop by Dr. Lennard’s office. Whether it’s the old– school video game system in the lobby, talking with Julie at the front desk (She’s super awesome!), or going for a check up, I always have a great time going in, visiting, and walking out nothing but 100% satisfied.

We are so pleased with the friendly and professional service that we received at Dr. Lennard’s office. We are a family of four and have all had orthodontic procedures through Dr. Lennard’s office. Our experience has been very positive and we feel lucky to have such Quality service available to us here in Almaden Valley. we have referred many friends and family and everyone has had a good experience at Dr. Lennard’s.

Dr. Lennard is not only an extremely talented orthodontist, he also provides a calm, welcoming atmosphere. I had braces about 15 years ago and still get complements on my teeth/​smile! There is not any other place I would consider for my children in the future.

Dr. Lennard and his staff are simply outstanding. Dr. Lennard provided amazing treatment for my wife (braces) and my son (braces, expander, etc.). I’ll try to keep my story as short as possible. Please read if you want to save yourself 5 years of braces and just a lot of emotional stress.
I got braces when I was 19 years old from a different orthodontist and was assured that they would be off within a few years. Well 5 years later they were still on. It was very sad because I wanted my teeth to be as perfect as possible but felt like they wouldn’t be if I pressured the orthodontist to speed up the process. Well I finally got so tired of waiting for them to finish I decided to get a second opinion and that is when I met Dr Lennard!
Upon my initial consultation I knew Dr Lennard had the knowledge and ability to help me! He was very honest and supportive. Not to mention a great listener and communicator since I had vented to him about all my problems with the last Ortho! I ended up paying Dr Lennard to take off my braces and finish the cosmetic part and I couldn’t be happier! I never used to smile because I didn’t like showing my braces at this age but now I can’t stop! He did an amazing job and I wish I had met him years ago. If you are looking for someone with an awesome personality and to get the job done the right way I am confident that Dr Lennard’s office is the place for you. I am looking forward to visiting the next few months to make sure my retainers are working correctly. Thanks Dr Lennard for giving me the confidence to smile!

Dr Lennard and his staff are absolutely fantastic. I live about 40 minutes away but would still commute down to San Jose because I feel Dr Lennard is the best orthodontist in the Bay Area.
My entire family had their braces done by Dr Lennard from 2002 – 2005. I unfortunately did not wear my retainers after and my teeth suffered. As a result, I needed additional care. Luckily, when I moved back to the bay area, I went to visit Dr Lennard again and had a free consultation for Invisalign. 12 months later, my teeth are straight and I couldn’t be happier.
I highly recommend Dr. Lennard for any orthodontia care.

All five of us have been through braces with Dr. Lennard over probably the last 12 years or so. Three kids through braces, and mom and dad through invisalign. Dr. Lennard explains the strategy too you, and gives updates with every check up. Genuinely a very nice guy, and very professional. The office decour and music are terrific and relaxing. He also creates the office culture such that all of the office staff are cut from the same friendly cloth.

It’s been over 10 years already!
Our whole family has been going to Dr. Lennard, since before he was the owner of the place.
He’s the most amazing, most honest, most down to earth person you will ever meet.
Lots of kids and teens go to him because he understand them and knows how to take care of their teeth.
My mother went to him for pain in her TMJ joint in her jaw and he set her up with braces and now her teeth are super straight with zero pain.
We went to him for advice for another issue and he took the time to help us. He’s honest, doesn’t try to cheat you for more than what you need, and his prices are extremely reasonable.
The front staff, everyone else, they are so pleasant and amazing. I’m getting old and I love waiting and playing on the PS3!
If you have any questions or hate getting braces, go to Dr. Lennard, he’ll make the experience a pleasant one :)

We love Dr. Lennard and every single person in his office. I recommend him to everyone who is looking for an orthodontist. He is so great with my children and with me. He’s helpful, friendly, professional and very thorough. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for orthodontic care. I figure we’ve been going there for about eight years, so we’ve had a lot of experience with this office. Dr. Lennard, Julie and all of the staff here are just simply great!

Dr. Lennard is a thoroughly excellent orthodontist. The care and personal attention he has extended to our son and daughter been outstanding. Always the «people person» he took the time to truly know children and put them at ease during his superb care.

Great group– Dr. Lennard and his staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Extremely personalble, treat you more like an old friend rather than a patient. I get compliments on my teeth all the time, and I always reply with a «Don’t compliment me, thank my ortho!» Have had my braces off for almost ten years now, and still get complements all the time. We first started with Dr Lennard back in 1997, with our first child and from there on is history. My last child, completed his orthodontics treatment with Dr Lennard, this past March 2012. All of our children have beautiful, bright smiles, they are frequently complimented on their smile and the perfect teeth. We definitely recommend Dr Lennard and his staff for the beautiful work done. As far as office personnel is concerned, Julie at the front desk, greets you with a warm, friendly smile and makes you feel welcome. Dr. Lennard and his staff are Amazing! I had my braces all throughout high school and Dr. Lennard did wonders. My teeth were severly crooked and one tooth was so far pushed back I have no clue how he was able to pull it all the way forward without damaging it or making my gums lumpy. He was able to straighten my teeth in only a few years, he responded to my millions of concerns and questions calmly and was always patient and reassuring. His staff are all friendly and helpful and Julie especially has always been super sweet and fun to talk to! I would highly recommend Dr. lennard and his staff. Its easy to see they truly enjoy their work and they take a personal interest in each patient. I have always felt comfortable with them and in good hands. My boyfriend is now a new patient as well and Im excited to see the results!
